Not every ICO will be a scam.Iif you choose the right project, then ICO will help to increase investments, you just need to approach this issue in all seriousness.
but the view of ICO scams exists because some projects commit fraud, whereas successful projects are only a few. there are actually a lot of factors that influence it, and factors in project selection are also important things that can affect the outcome in the end, we need to be careful when making project selection

Honestly i can still invest in an ICO project, i am more of a real use cases guy so the only thing that can make me give an ICO a try is its features, real use case and real working product if available

I can't say nobody should invest but anyone that want to should to proper research as many scammers are out there to steal from investors so best to do is to check before investing so as not to feed scammers

Although recently IEO looks better than ICO, research on IEO is also very much needed, because investment is always a big risk, both in ICO and IEO, and I think investors also already know about this.Yeah, better to stick to ieo lunch on big exchange or good volume exchange than any small ones that don't have much support, honestly, it is not as if ieo is 100% guarantee but looking at what ico's has turned into, it is much safer to invest in ieo than ico's, although just because this are lunched in an exchange doesn't mean we shouldn't carry out a research also.

agree with you 1000% . If a project launches today without the capital to stand on its own to feet . It's not legit. NO more crowd funding through crypto. Starve these scammers out tell they start sending out nigerian prince emails and mail that indicate you can get millions of $$. You just have to send them enough $$$ to cover the transfer fees

You have point but you should consider also the effect of no new projects at all, let's say that ICO's, STO's and IEO's will be stop then there is a big possibility that almost all of the investors will stop investing and the demand in every coins/altcoins will start to goes down.
What makes the investors become more active are the return of investment and if there will be no chance for them to profit then they will surely stop investing. And worst scenario will be, the crypto community will start to die as many will be affected to it like the bounty hunters, investors and other entities that offers their services in exchange to tokens/coins of new project. Though your idea is good to avoid those scammers but in overall, I think it is not a good idea.

Investing in ICOs and IEOs is becoming more of a gamble with the odds stacked against the you. Many projects are just out to defraud investors. It is up to the investor to carry out his due diligence before investing in a project, if at all. Well IMO offers a new model for investing in projects. You could have a closer look at it.
agree, stopping from now to invest in ico is the right choice because it is time for us to focus more on our main investments in the top coins in this market. when you keep complaining about what happened to the scam project then at least you have realized it not to continue anymore, because after all investing in a large project and having a good reputation in this market will be safer and will certainly end well with the profits earned

We cannot forbid everyone to invest in ICO. Everyone has their own decisions and reasons for investing and not all ICO projects are scams, there are some projects that really develop their projects based on the roadmap that has been prepared. I invest several crypto projects back in 2017 and got a huge return on the last bull run. I would probably say that in this bear market I saw many scammy ICO that clearly the people behind it have no experience what soever in this space, but I also some potential ICO project that success launch their project and even the ROI from ICO is quite huge. Always double check the team and vision that the project offer will help you dodge scam ICO.
During that bull run days, scammers took away numerous ETH wallets with phishing links and spam tokens. ICOs are no more reliable to invest in but not all IEO projects are safe for investing too. Agree with you.
But Maybe less than 2% projects worth to research and invest.
