A healthy competition is not necessarily a bad thing. In my own opinion, Altcoins are what made Bitcoin the Bitcoin today.
Well as we know altcoinis just a cryptocurrency simillar to bitcoin so in any aspect we need altcoin also as of it makes alternate for bitcoin. Eventhough this altcoin and bitcoin is not the same but it don't need to compete because bitcoin is bitcoin and altcoin is just the digital currecy which user receive from their ICO's

I think that you are asking a very good and very tough question to answer well. I think all these altcoins and bitcoin ara inter dependable. If you have come across some whitepapers which are released to the public when some icos are released you might get an idea an altcoins whether they are needed or not. These altcoins ara produced due to various reasons like to reduce transaction fees, to facilitate communication, to manage our portfolio and to help to process information like in Daneel project etc. Therefore presence of altcoins is a must
for my opinion, altcoin is beautiful. but if you're in that bitcoin and you trust them you'll stay, now the bitcoin is bigger now. thanks.
altcoin is a big money electronic marketplace, i think altcoin is very necessary it makes the market more rich so people can learn and invest, and i think altcoin can grow stronger than bitcoin
The competition amongst altcoin is really intense and the same scheme is going on over and over again. Announce crowd sale then release. A lot of platforms and sometimes for me, i cant really understand why there are always altcoin release everyday. Sometimes the same devs are making another altcoin just to make another profit and after profit, they will move and forget the previous project.

If bitcoin price goes down, you can't make profit temporarily so you need an alternative coin to invest so we can continue making alternative income. Bitcoin today is very expensive so most of us couldn't afford to invest that's why we're thankful that we could earn high return of investments through Altcoins like Ethereum, NEO and other coins that could make us rich after some time of investment. Yes they are needed because each Altcoin has it's own technology. So we don't need to rely on just one. From an investment point of view, Altcoins give out larger bursts of profit in a shorter time, whereas Bitcoin gives out profit in a longer period.
Some actually risk on altcoins for years and roi is not as much as Bitcoin... Right now, I think Bitcoin has already grown in price so much that it will not be able to replicate a similar one from last year though.
