yes it was good, and more fun to buy something in offline, because bitcoin is still limited to online payment.
I also do the same as you, switch to fiat and then go buy anything.

Whenever I am in need of money, I sell some of my coins and convert it to my local currency, I haven't purchased anything online yet, as to buy anything fiat can take care off, so saving my coins for future.

buy items in an online store may be it is a good thing but for the online shop in my country who accept bitcoin almost no any at all and made me choose to shop at online shop overseas. but to send goods from abroad and need not cost more. it is a major problem

I haven't posted on the forum for a while, glad to see this thread is still alive, after reading through some of the past posts though, i have decided to make a small edit to the poll by adding "(Or Online) when i originally created the post and wrote stores i did mean either offline or online stores, but realise i should have made that clear as some have wrote things like "There are no stores for me to spend my btc but i do spend them online though"

@Zebedee23, what are the BTC debit cards like? i have recently really been considering getting one as from what i understand they can be used anywhere, however i have read from a few people that sometimes transactions don't go through even if there are enough bitcoins on the card to confirm a purchase and some have had to wait weeks/months to receive cards that they have already pre-loaded with btc.
Its definitely something i want to support, but i don't want to have to put up with any issues come payment time, i just want to pay and go lol


As much as im definitely in the category of people that are waiting for a dramatic price increase, im also a firm believer that bitcoin should be a widely adopted form of currency and i think for that to happen, people need to spend, (wasn't it amazon that said the reason they haven't adopted taking bitcoin payments directly is because "Not enough people use/spend bitcoin" for them to consider taking it as a payment option?)

Practically living off Bitcoin these days, got 2 BTC debit cards and use them daily

But we also need to spend your coins to circulate it, and if you are not able to spend it directly then you need to convert it to fiat and then spend, as converting to local currency is no big deal.

Don't know if there will be/is a store that only accepts bitcoin.
I guess there's the black market if one is to consider that a "store". But no wants to go to jail, right?

I'm from the US and government makes using btc kind of hard. For personal/businesses/anything really. Cause of strict laws,  it's not a cake walk obtain btc. We have to give our btc wallet all our info (id's, address verification, etc). Sure there's local btc, but who wants to pay double the market rate?

Anyways,
I actively spend/move/cash out bitcoin on a daily basis.
Spending wise is usually on btc related goods

Also holding some also incase market reaches $1000 btc again.. Would triple what I got it for. (hopefully near future)

Yeah that is a major issue at this stage that we can spend it directly, but that also allows us to save our coins for future, but if I am in need of hard cash, I convert it to fiat.

There is no such store in my country. So the only option left with me is to spend my bitcoins on online stores. Also I preferably use third party transactions to purchase things online and to recharge my phone.

So it means that you are actively spending your bitcoins, and you are only some of those aspiring miners there.
Even though mining is conquered by Chinese miners you are able to invest for the computer hardware for mining.
I hope you will get fast return of investment and able to earn daily with mining.

Merchants accepting bitcoin still not that pretty interesting in terms of numbers.

You just noticed that there are more merchants since we are in this forum but if you look at the apple pie, I will assumed it only covers a small percentage as a whole.

In my place, I can do online shopping with the bitcoin. I mainly buy some computer hardware for mining.

I agree, with the no. of merchant that is already adopting bitcoins now and with the big help of the gambling industry we can spend our bitcoins anytime we want, the good thing is it is very cheap, fast, easy, and secure so it would really give a huge benefits to the users.

No and i am not the only one because there are many people who don´t spend their coins at all. And that is such a big mistake
because is everyone hold their coins do you think there will be a rising in the price i don´t think so. money needs to roll men
not to hold come on get rid of your coins let them roll and everybody will be happy about the price trust me i know
that it will happen if everybody is keeping there coins in the circle.

Spending Bitcoins is just becoming easier and easier. There are more an more sites accepting Bitcoin and you can even buy Bitcoin debit cards to make shopping in store really easy.

Spending Bitcoins will be not the best thing that you can do with the currency and that is because there are more people that is realizing that they can better wait so that is nice.
If you want to spend your Bitcoins than it would be better that you are doing that online because offline it is not everywhere acceptable.

Bitcoin transactions are only done online, don't worry about your problem friend, it will be solved soon. As per bitcoins adoption of different stores
are getting broad now and they are seeing the potential of bitcoins for the convenience of their customers.
