Do you think that only god has the power to punish the criminals? Then what about the judiciary and the cops? If you don't want the judiciary to punish the criminals, then what is the point in spending billions of USD every year on the maintenance and salary on courts? IMO, religion is not a factor here and it should stay out. The judges will decide whether someone deserve the death sentence or not.

No I don't. Yes, God is the owner of our lives and nobody has a right to take it away from us. In this unsafe world, criminals are not our enemies. It's the devils that's asking them to do so. I think that they still deserve another chance and imprisonment is enough for them to suffer for what they did.

I’m against the death penalty not because of sympathy for criminals, but because it doesn't reduce crime, costs taxpayers much more than life sentences, is more emotionally draining for the families of victims than life in prison without parole. and, worst of all, risks executions of innocent people.

If you would put it bluntly, it would seem that you are considering JUSTICE is just a mere REVENGE. In your statement 'to have justice for those who have been abused and oppressed', it really sounds like you just wanted REVENGE to those people who've committed unforgivable crime. You said it yourself, we are not God, therefore who we are to judge, who we are to make decisions for the lives of those who've sinned? We are not the one who will make the move, it is TIME who will.

Death penalty is ok with me..but for henious crimes only,like murder,homecide,rape,kidnap for ransom etc...and that the offender has been found guilty without reasonable doubt.,.It has to be done coz nowadays criminals do not respect the law they just keep doing it..with so many loopholes and flaws in the judicial system they can easily get away, specially if you're rich and influential.

but in case I favor death penalty for rape cases, drugs and murder etc.

Our life is precious gift of god to us so no one except god has the right to take our life but some people nowadays deserves a death penalty. For example a men who is a suspect for raping a women and when it is proved that he is responsible for the rape then he should be given a death penalty as he don’t have any right to spoil someone's life . Another example we can take of a murderer who is responsible for someone's death should also be given a death penalty. Death penalty should be given only to those people who commits massive crime and not to innocent people.

Forgive and forget Everyone deserves a second chance. As long as they are willing to change, they should be allowed a second chance. It is only fair and killing them wont change anything. It is just one more life taken away. Isn't that just redoing what the murderer did? "A life for a life". So those who hung the convict should die too. Think about it.
