If there was a death penalty back when they were sending prisoners to Australia, we might not have had Australia as we know it now lol

There was death penalty back then. Who told you that there was no death penalty? The only thing is that those who committed crimes such as robbery and tax evasion were deported to Australia rather than executed by hanging. And even Australia had the death penalty, although it was disproportionally used against the indigenous population.

No, because God gave our life, therefore it is only him you that can take it away. There are other ways to punish criminals and other person who committed sins. We all have the right to life will lead us and until when we can live. And if we agree on the death penalty, it means we disobey our God, in our bible, we can read the 10 commandments of God and the 7th is that tough shall not kill.

As the criminal justice system stands right now I cannot in all honesty agree with a death penalty. If there is any possibility whatsoever that an innocent person could be put to death then the concept of the death penalty is one of cruel and unusual punishment. Even if we could insure that all people convicted for crimes in which the death penalty is a valid punishment I think I would still lean against it. It is more of a utilitarian argument than anything. Are we to really say that the most efficient and beneficial to society way to deal with those convicts is to put them to death? Could they not be put to work to better society. Obviously by allowing them to be utilized for private benefactors you are insensitivity abuse of the system of punishment, but if they were put to the use of the public at large I think it would be better for everyone involved. Instead of putting a man to death perhaps it would be better to to put him to use fixing our crumbling infrastructure. Also this is coming from someone who believes death is the ultimate punishment, so if you are someone who think extended incarceration is worse then your mileage will vary with regards to my argument.

I agree to the death penalty. Because if there's no death penalty it is like all of the criminals think that they are living in a school where they can bully anyone they want and send to guidance after they done the crime. But if death penalty is implemented the criminals will be eliminated permanently. And because of that it is easily decresses the number of crimes because the crime creators are getting punish by death.

I am in favor of death penalty, with reservations especially here in my country (Philippines). The credibility, integrity and reliability of  justice system and the people behind it need to be established  first before implementing such, because we don't want innocent people to get sentenced to death out of poor justice system. I rest my case.💅

God is the one who gave us life and he is the one that should take it from us but I agree in death penalty .Our life is precious gift of god to us so no one except god has the right to take our life but some people nowadays deserves a death penalty. For example a men who is a suspect for raping a women and when it is proved that he is responsible for the rape then he should be given a death penalty as he don’t have any right to spoil someone's life . Another example we can take of a murderer who is responsible for  someone's death should also be given a death penalty .So  i think death penalty should be given but only when the person is proved guilty by the court .

Yes,  because there is nothing to be afraid of it if you done nothing wrong 😊😊😊
But Note that justice must be Always right for that😀😀😀

This is a big concern. In the past, many innocent people were executed for the crimes which they didn't commit. But now the forensic technology has advanced quite a lot. Unless someone is extremely unlucky, he will not be framed for fake charges. And another point is that the judges normally award death penalty only if they are 100% sure about the guilt of the accused.

torture seems right for me rather than death penalty. cause a man who commit a crime has to act as a man. but i still believe every person who commit a crime have a right to had a chance to be a reborn and repay their sin. people cant change because the society didnt give a chance and didnt open a way for them to get in. so we might need a way, a good one that can fix a broken people. cause i believe every single human who are born never intend to commit a crime or do a bad think. its just happen cause the enviroment that drive them to do such a bad thing.
it is reasonable to to say death penalty is the right thing to do for some offense that is seriously done such as murder and rape. but based from moral reason it is unjust because we have no right to take ones life, it is God's  duty to take someones life.

We can not just wait until their god punishes them. It would be unfair to leave the murderers and rapists who after the prison again start killing and raping. The prison will not give them the necessary punishment.

Yes, I agree with death penalty. Death penalty is necessary. They should take these people out back and let their victims or victims family beat them to death. This act will show them that they will not tolerate violent criminals.

May be for hard crimes such as rape and murder. The criminal can be handed over to the mob, where he can be lynched. In India, there were a few instances in the past. In a notable case, a Muslim man was lynched to death after he raped a tribal girl in Nagaland. A similar incident occurred in Manipur as well, a few months back.
