When Football meets Crypto
I read this article, but I want to see opinions, would you sell all your alts to have only bitcoin now ? I don't think this is recommended

Actually it will be depending on the situation, if the market today is very volatile like there is huge drop and increase then just hold your coins but if you think that you will be earning more profit for your coin if you will just hold it for a very long time then just jeep on holding.

I agree that Bitcoin will be climbing up again and I think it will reach $10,000 or even more than that. But Selling altcoins is not a good choice to make. I think altcoins will still bring something to some investors as long as you choose the right one.

I never want to invest on any of altcoins by selling my bitcoins because I knows that bitcoin has more potential than any other coins so it will give more benefits in future if we hold until,if you invest on altcoins you can invest the amount from profits of your bitcoin.
Lolzzz that’s true man, Bitcoin has more potential than every other cryptocurrency we have in the market. You’re likely to make more profit from Bitcoin than you will do with other crypto. I have developed more interest on bitcoin than every other crypto in the market today. This year I haven’t invested in any altcoin, I’m just focusing only on Bitcoin and I hope that the price gets high.

I think it’s right. Bigger profits comes from investing only on Bitcoin than investing on several altcoins at a time, and that’s based on my own experience. The price of Bitcoin fluctuates heavily than every other cryptocurrencies in the market and let’s assume that you invested $60,000 right now, you will make bigger profit from it than when you invested the $60,000 in altcoins. But I’m not saying that this happens all the time, but it is most likely to happen.

You have to get what you want your own way.
Since I get a lot of alt coins by joining signature campaign, I'd rather stick to what I do and where I profit the most, I always wait for the alt coins to pump then trade it to Ethereum, then use it to buy some low price alt coins and hold the rest into Ethereum, I'm not really the type to hold Bitcoin for a long period of time because this is the only source of income I have, so whether I like it or not, I don't have much choice but to be a short term holder.

I think it is not a good idea to sell all your altcoins to buy bitcoin because bitcoin price as of the moment is very unpredictable and we never know if it will really go up or not. It's better to diversify your investments with both bitcoin and altcoins.

Don't sell your all altcoins for bitcoin. You will end up with lifetime regrets. You should sell some of your altcoins maybe from your 100% of altcoins you can sell half or maybe 30%. Then after you have your money buy bitcoin even it will not got to 1 bitcoin. It is okey because bitcoin will probably decrease again so on that time your bitcoin will surely increase according to what it's equivalent value. Much better to sell your altcoins but don't sell everything.

It would still be better if youll be diversifying your investment. We know that when bitcoin price increases, other alternative coins also increas in value. Since you can no longer get greater volume of bitcoin because of its high price, you can have alternative coin to make good volume. Volume of coin means greater profit to be earned, that why dont sell alts, just buy bitcoin with your new fund.

That's absolutely right bitcoins gives more benefits but i didn't say that all the time but for me if you want some long term investments i would probably take a risk on selling my altcoins to invest my profit to bitcoin.

if bitcoin seems to have a much lower price and I think I can buy many bitcoins with my altcoin, why not? You see, bitcoin has more potential than alts since it's the original cryptocurrency recognized in the world, and the price of altcoins also depends on bitcoin so buying the original one is much better than keeping the newly made ones.

It will always depend of the situations like if my Altcoins are going crap that its look like will not recover specially if the team if that coin Altcoin is in active then better to sell your coins and buy Bitcoin but if my certain Altcoin has a huge potential then better to sell some of my Bitcoin and buy more of that promising Altcoin.

No, I think that this should not be done. Bitcoin has already reached high values in the price and every twofold increase will be accompanied by new scandals and shocks. Investing in bitcoin will be further problematic and rather risky. Although it is possible that he can still make a good profit. However, for this amount it is better to buy cheap altcoyins, which sometimes grow in price in tens and hundreds of times. It will be a more secure and peaceful investment of its funds.

You didn't mention in title, nor in your post main opinion of this man: he would sell alts such as Cardano, TRON, IOTA and NEO, but was “neutral” and would hold Ethereum, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash and EOS.
If he would include ether, bcash and similars in word altcoin, it seems this strategy has no idea behind it but now this proposal proves (at least for me) what is his main idea.

I think it all depends on the price, if the bitcoin price goes down I will sell my alts, that way I can buy a lot of bitcoin. we need to know that bitcoin is more potential than alts and bitcoin prices may affect other altcoins.

When you find the respective altcoin that you have is providing with a bigger growth percentage than that of bitcoin it is good to sell the particular altcoin and buy bitcoin. Because, with altcoins we cannot predict when the growth happens while the same with bitcoin is something an assured fact.

No, I do not think this is a good idea. I would rather sell bitcoins and buy an ethereum. However, in this situation it is necessary to have approximately half the bitcoin and ethereum. So far, all the crypto currency basically depends on the price of bitcoin. However, I do not believe that bitcoin is able to have a very high price for a long time, at least 60 000 - 80 000 dollars. I think that there will always be those who will discard their bitcoins as soon as its price rises decently and thus it again falls in its value.

Those who think that you will always be profitable to buy something and sell something, but they may have invested in wrong money in some lonely times, especially when evaluating the currencies you bought at low time You may be missing out on other opportunities while you wait. Is it better to evaluate it more or less than all.

I do not always follow this rule. It actually depends on time and  market. I keep buying altcoins for short time holdings like 4-6 months . And If i see that i am getting profit from altcoins than i buy bitcoin for long time. But in some cases I sell Bitcoin if the price goes up too much. And for some times i buy altcoins for long time, and hold it up for the price increase. Then i sell them and buy again btc..

I think that strategy is applicable depending on the situation, if the altcoin that you have does have a great potential and it isnshowing signs of strength, I suggest to HODL it, then try converting only a percentage of it to bitcoin, but never convert it all, since there might be a chance that it can surpass the expected ATH, but if the altcoin that you have is something that seems to be going down the drain or doesn't have any future at all, then sell it at a price that you know you'll have a positive gain,it also goes to POS and masternode coins, there is no reason of having so much coins on your hands that values to nothing. Also, if you're main target is having a lot of bitcoins rather than extra gains, you may just want to convert all altcoins you have to bitcoin and just accumulate, there is no logical explanation why you should buy altcoin and convert it to bitcoin, since both are volatile and there are still fees in converting.
