God is our Father, and the New Testament tells us that the church (the Jerusalem above) is our Mother.

 Shocked

Have you seen your father? Have you taken photos with your father?
The Father is so great that to see Him would mean death. If a camera survived snapping His picture, the picture would, at best, be pure white.

If you don't make it to Heaven, you lose both, Father and Mother.

 Shocked

Where is the Heaven? Can you give us the location?
You can check the dictionaries and encyclopedias for the answer. However, The Heaven of heavens is outside of this universe, so neither of us would understand the coordinates.

Definately Yes. I do believe in God. God created me and it is stated in the Holy Bible, He is the one who made us. He gives us blessings on our everyday lives. And please, you should type "God" the first letter should be big because it is necessary as a sign of respect for Him as our Lord.

 Shocked Shocked

Dude you've been brainwashed

Actually, it is you who have been brainwashed.

Cool

All these claims by you Puddleduck, yet not a single shred of proof.

You are very good at assuming something, but when it comes to proof, you lack the evidence.

However, you wouldn't know proof from lack of it, because your understanding is so weak.

No, how could god let OneCoin exist?

Yes, I believe that there is God.  It is better to believe that there is a God who created me rather than believing that I am from monkey families called homo sapiens, homo erectus etc.  Yes, maybe nobody can see God, but we can feel His existence through His daily provisions.  The wonders of earth are also an evidence of how great His creations are.  The hope in every circumstances of life is also the work of Holy Spirit to convince our Heart that God exist.

Do you believe in god? If you do, why do you believe? (give a few reasons)

I grew up in a freedom/truth hating communist country. I remember in biology when they explained the cell and how complexly it was engineered as a kid I realized there was a creator (true story) of course I'm regulations prohibit me to say that so I had to lie like everyone else, but there is a creator I'm 100% sure. I think any scientist (real one not the fake liberal ones) knows the truth about God. But now that my country is a liberal democracy they teach the same lies like the communist did.

who ever don't believe in God going to hell I believe I god he is my faver

Agree with you, even I am very confident and very confident, God always accompanies us who believe in every day and our step. Amien
Faith in God for each person is a very individual matter and the confidentiality that these all issues are discussed must be understood that this is a personal matter. I am more concerned with the fact that many people try to turn away from God or order an atheistic mood and even sacrilege in the direction of the Almighty.

there must be something higher hierarchy than us,there is no doubt about that
call it God or any other name, we at our level of cognition will not be able to understand
same as the grass cannot understand an animal eating it,or an animal doesn't understand what humans are, they are something that feeds or kills them

Well, at the same time that despite all the sarcasm of this question, many people turn to God at a time when they are really very bad and there is a desperate situation in life and therefore they seek help from God

However, that's why Jesus came and died on the cross. It wasn't because we were praying to Him to save us. Many people still don't want to be saved... at least if you look at their words and actions. But Jesus did the job anyway, before anybody had a chance to pray.

Cool

Yes, I think that is part of reason why Jesus life and death resonates with so many. He saved people from damnation - and slavery by corrupt clergy regardless if it cost him his life and even regardless, if the freed commoners saw his sacrifice for what it was: Selfless act of love. The kind that is at best of times shown by parents to their children.

Christianity played huge role in knightly culture that developed in the west later on. For the first time in history, people felt, that they can be both just, protective and selfless, yet fierce warriors. Life and death of Christ humanized warrior culture and gave it meaning.

Nice picture, so romantic... the knight in armor is the protector, the savior, the hero. The woman look up to this Godly warrior as her savior - you can see the gratefulness on her face, her God saved her (by killing a few, or few hundred or even a few thousand human beings, not much different than the woman herself). No wonder God is a "he" a male figure. Poor females, they will have to bow the knee to their manly Gods. GOD be with them the day their heros aren't in such a good mood and want to take it out on his loyal subject(s).

Poor dippididodaday. Hasn't figured out that all people die, yet. Wants to blame the inner destructive qualities of mankind on God. So blind that he can't see that God is simply manipulating some of man's own destructive qualities to save some people from themselves... for eternal salvation.

So we see that it is essentially people like dippididodaday who promote destruction. But I will give him this. He may not know that he is doing what he is doing. But, don't count on it.

Cool

First of all, don't self pity to all you females too, because if and it is, God the supreme enjoyer, and enjoyer is male, enjoyed is female, so by the definition we as souls are females against God who is the supreme enjoyer. Because we must please God, not the other way arround.

Sorry I would answer all you guys but I'm on phone, catching last minutes on internet

You need to judge a system in comparison to the system it replaced not by the moral standards of a thousand years later. Chivalry emphasized bravery, military skill, generosity in victory, piety, and courtesy to women.

It was a tremendous improvement over the ethics of prior eras and a powerful testament to the civilizing power of ethical monotheism and Christianity.

This is the prior "ideal" it replaced. The veneration of the conquering alpha warrior.

Why would anyone believe in any religion. If you do how do you know which religion is the true one and which one is not? You can't just pick one because you will go to hell if you are wrong, most of the times. The bible is just a really bad book anyways. It is full of inconsistencies, murder which is endorsed by God, God himself murders everyone, he also thinks that not believing in him should be punished with eternal torture. It doesn't matter if you are a good person or not, the only thing that matters is that you believe in him.

http://www.biblicalnonsense.com/index2.html

https://infidels.org/library/modern/donald_morgan/contradictions.html

http://www.patheos.com/blogs/friendlyatheist/2013/08/19/an-incredible-interactive-chart-of-biblical-contradictions/

Firstly, you can fully understand bible because the one who know the truly meaning is the one who wrote it.
Second, our mind is limited. That's why we can't understand God's mind.
Third, YOU NEED TO LEARN BIBLE IN THE RIGHT WAY AND IN DEPTH. IF YOU JUST READ AND UNDERSTAND IT LITERALLY, THEN IT'S ALL NONSENSE AND CONTRADICTION. PLEASE READ WITHIN THE CONTEXT, TIME AND PLACE, WHAT KIND OF WRITTEN WORK IS THAT. BIBLE WRITTEN BY VARIOUS PEOPLE IN VARIOUS AGE. LEARN BIBLE IN THE RIGHT WAY.

You cant understand the bible and you cant understand God but you believe in him and know he exists, this for me seems extremely contradictory. If you cant fully understand God or the Bible then what's the point? If the bible is really the word of God, then it should be clear to anyone, it should be easy to understand to everyone because that's the only thing the almighty God left humanity, a book. If I understand the book literally is garbage, you say. Why would God do that? To deceive us?

Now days no-one understands holy bible because the knowledge was lost or speculated or added in for crowd control purpourses... But still holy bilble can't be understood just by anywwho, the one who is humble reading it, and with respect, that one will understand... And with no speculations how is this how is that, no, it's like it's said in bible, the first time you are speculating from you mind oh so this is like this? That is not spirituality...

the final conclusion is this: Every holy text is readable, understandable, the trick is, to be humble, to love God and if you are so in this things, then God will provide the inteligence to understand him... But like he said, no-one understands God, even God himself doesn't understand himself, because when he trys to understand hiself, he's got allready bigger by the time when he want's to understand himself... He's infinite, allblisfull and eternal, and here we are, we, who can't even perceieve/understand what is infinite!

and if there is somebody that seeks the truth that was not yet tampered with human speculations, here is He: Bhagavad-Gita As It Is(it must be AS IT IS, if any other Gita it's a individual speculation,  Bhagavad-Gita means Song of the Lord

And one more thing, I also didn't understand holy bible, until I read Bhagavad-Gita, in Bhagavad-Gita it's everything nice and tidy described: the manifestation of universe, how does this world works, basicly the instructions for how to live life the best way possible and then return back to Godhead some day...  And if you read Bhagavad-Gita As It Is, I guarantee you that you will understand all holy scriptures plus you will know what it's not right in those holy scriptures...  And Krishna won't give you the inteligence to understand Bhagavad-Gita, if you won't be reading it humble and with respect...
