You must learn details about project: who is the team, what they are doing, how tokens or coins will be used etc. Im buying non-top coins and tokens. Yes, its ricky, but you can make a good profit. Some new proming project can become topp as well in future  Roll Eyes

Hey guys, do you buy altcoins which are not top 100 of Coinmarketcap? Isn’t it risky to invest in them? Want to hear your opinion!

Top coins today did not start from the top on day one they work their way up, so if you think a project has a good potential in the market, then it will eventually be landed in the top 100 even in the top 10 but not overnight sometimes it takes months before it gets there.

I will not play a game if I am the underdog, buying coins in which above in the top 100 is too risky, why doing that if there are so many coins to be chosen in the list, though you think the undervalued token might give you a huge profit but the chances are quite so small so I prefer to do what I had been practice.

Honestly, I always buy altcoins that can be profitable, later on, though not too big And I've never managed an altcoin with a top 100 position from Coinmarketcap.

Yes some tokens in my portfolio are not the top 100 cryptos, I think the risk is something that must be faced when investing, So crypto rank on CMC is not a problem, the important things are to consider risks with all the potential that crypto has

Risk. Risk.Risk. Buying below 100 caps you are very much at risk. To make such a deal I advise you to analyze the project in detail. It is better to invest in good tokens.
How about all of those top rank coins? do they have no risk at all when you decided to invest with those?

All cryptocurrencies does have the risk and even those stable coins are even moving their prices though they are described as "stable". Don't only look at those low cap coins as risky because every single cryptocurrency is at risk.

i only buy coins that can give me profit. i don't care how coinmarketcap.com ranks them. it can be rank 2000+ for all i know but as long as that coin can give me a decent profit i will be happy with it.

so yes i have bought coins that are not in top 100. and no they are not riskier, they are risky like any other pump and dump altcoin.
Coinmarketcap ranking can be based on the total marketcaps and it proves that they have a large market with many investors, and of course it will be much safer, but that doesn't mean that outside the top coinmarketcap is not a profitable coin, I still believe in own analysis and research

I think that there are many interesting projects that are not included in the top 100, but for investment you need to choose very carefully.

"risk" doesn't depend on rank of a coin because rank is an arbitrary number and is mostly opinion based. for instance if it was up to me i would put ETH and XRP and BCH in ranks above 1000. and put coins such as IOTA, byteball or platforms such as Waves on top 10 coins.

interesting enough when it comes to profit the coins that are not in top 100 are more profitable than those that are in top 100.

Personally, I am not buying any coin in general. I am just doing some bounties, in order to get some free coins as a reward or gift. This could be translated as acquiring low market cap coins. Since coins doing ico and bounties are very new, not launched on the market, you could say they are not in the top one hundred on coinmarketcap list. Of course they coil rise a lot in value since they start from scratch or from ico price which is usually very very low, like 1 cent or 10 cents. Let's hope for the best indeed

Sometimes, when I really like the project, I think that it would probably be best to invest in a project than to just skip it, because if you don’t invest now, then it will be too late. I invest depending on the project idea.

Definitely yes. Such coins take place in my portfolio as high-risk actives. But after deep research only. Today I try to buy more DACC - the world’s first content-based blockchain that features identity and access management (IAM) (this is from website). http://dacc.co DYOR but it's a good option I think. Price now is so cheap

Of course yes, because it will be much more profitable if the project (coin, token) will succeed. But you should not buy such coins blindly, you need to know, support and be confident in the success of this project.

It is risky but it is worth the risk. All investments have their own risk and it is up to you how you will manage to deal with this risks and create or build a way that your investment is safe in the sense it is making profits in the long run.

Of course I do not buy from the TOP 100, since there are altcoins that have just entered the market or are still ISO, or are at the bottom, and they can make a lot of oen x profit, and can enter the TOP 100, and give the investor a lot more profit and money than tokens from the already 100 tokens, so investors

I think you can make purchases. Odano is for professional traders. Who have a clear strategy for action. If you buy the wrong coins, you can lose your entire budget.  Professionals have a clear plan, let's say - 15% and they all sell.

Of course it is risky to invest in altcoins from top 200 or lower , because many of them are just "shitcoins" without any technology and fake team .But those investments are still very popular because the smaller the capitalization of a coin, the more % it can make . I personally invest in such projects from time to time, but only a small % of the total amount of my funds. I do not advise you to invest all free money there, because you can lose everything  ....

I seldom buy coins which are not in the top 100 ranking because it is too risky for me to consider them for regular investment. When I think I have earned enough I sell them quick because I had experience buying coins not in the top 100 before because it is cheap, but in the end most of them failed to deliver me a profit so I decided I'll not always have to buy them, only when I think it will give profit in the future.

I do sometimes yes. Altcoins below 100 market cap are riskier but some of them are undiscovered gems. I really like the way Quant Network works, I believe it has a lot of potential.
