It is so important to read the terms of service and I do it every single time. It can mean the difference between getting paid your winnings or missing it due to some silly technicality. So many gambling sites out there have enticing looking offers like "$100 in free bingo tickets" but you are expected to gamble any winnings 5x before they will let you cash out any money. By that point you are left with a couple dollars if you're lucky, but chances are the money and your time have been wasted. You have to remember that gambling companies are not charities, but profit making and want to hold on to any deposited money.

In addition to reading the rules of the service, I also carefully study reviews of the service from real users (friends or forums on the Internet), since theory and practice are very often different. Most services like to interpret the rules in an arbitrary way in their favor and it is better to know about this before any problem occurs.

I vote for "YES" because I did read the ToS.
but since I am an affiliate marketer, I only read the ToS for the affiliate program.
I don't care much about the ToS for their main service because I only bet a small amount of money.
For people like you that do only focus out with affiliating then it wont really be that an issue on checking out ToS since this isnt the main area of your concern but for most
people then reading up ToS is always recommendable because there are rules which would really give out some headaches later on when you do missed out something
but most of the time there arent really that too much issue when we do play out directly without the need on reading it up directly and just simply
stick with good gambling sites then you can presume out that you are in the right place.

I just skim through the text to find if there's anything that should not be there. I'm more fascinated by the different approach each gambling site takes to present their terms and conditions.

That's also good if you really going to stay long or used decent bankroll while playing inside the

casino house, finding something which annoyed you from the TOS will surely save you time trying
to fit up your gambling activities.

I mostly start with obliging to common terms. Even if I'm allowed VPN and multiple accounts, I have no reasons to use them.

Better not, it's not your concern once something bad happened and there's no way for you solve

it by yourself instead you needed to communicate with the help desk just to fixed this concern.

There are of course some gambling sites that troubles the users with unnecessary KYC. Though KYC is in terms of almost all gambling site, good ones would never ask one unless absolutely necessary.

The chance of asking for this info always possible even you are using the most trusted gambling house,

once they ask for it, you can't do nothing but to comply in order to resolve the problem.

Yes I do but I find it difficult to understand the gambling site any time am wanted to bet for an interesting game. TOS  site it hard me to understand their rules that is causing me fear to all my bet. I voted yes because the TOS gambling site there are many benefit that follow the games.
Sorry but what made it hard for you to understand the TOS of each gambling site you enters?they seems to have almost the same( not totally but almost) so i believe that reading and understanding one will give you idea in the next one.
I voted "NO" because this could be an honest answer. Will everyone does reading it? 1-2%, maybe.
+1 on your points here because it is the reality.
TOS isn't necessary for me, what I consider most when choosing a site is to find its legality, no KYC, and user-friendly. Just to be honest, and I know that most gamblers never waste their time reading on its long and number of pages for their TOS. Even if we read it, I don't know if it clearly catches it all.
Mate never forget that TOS is more important since in this you may get banned because of not reading and the sad part is what if you win big and you violated their TOS?

I really wonder if those who answered "YES" to your question are really telling the truth... I have never read any ToS of anything. Not casinos, not games, not apps. Never.

I always assumed they are just telling you some common-sense shit.
That's exactly what they are doing, moreover most of the time casinos and exchanges don't even respect them when it benefits the user, they only respect them when it benefits them against him   Undecided

This ToS stuff becomes important especially when the players win big money. Till then, nobody really cares where you are from or if you are surebetting etc... When you win $10k, boom, suddenly they start to ask questions.

That's great you are still reading the TOS of the casinos. In the beginning when I started gambling I was very eager to do the same. But similar like you I found the wording of the TOS really hard to read, this lawyer language on such long form is really hard to understand sometimes. Just reading some paragraphs once wasn't enough and I had to read them multiple times. In the end I just capitulated to the length of these agreements. I know my risk is much higher when only relying on reviews from other people, but so far I was lucky and didn't lose money in a bad casino.

I can feel you man, mostly used are legal words as TOS is a legal matters where they can use against us gamblers if we violate it, but we unfortunately we can't use that TOS against them as anytime they can change that TOS in their favor.

maybe most(maybe all) of the people who voted yes are just reading bits and pieces that they deemed important in the entire ToS(like I do but I voted no) since there may be times that a gambling site is putting a sneaky rule that overwhelmingly unfavored to the gambler. it's not that the current ToS of most gambling sites are already unfavourable towards gamblers but it would be better to at least know something.

I always assumed they are just telling you some common-sense shit.
they are but we all know that there are people who don't have any.

So you no need to read ToS if you're not afraid about information you provide to them,

Haha, this means don't read if you don't want to comply?

It's better to be gambling blindly knowing the TOS of the site, because you don't feel guilty at all since you won't know if you have violated the TOS.

I'm not using too much gambling sites, only SwCpoker (and some local books in my country) and for honest, with SwC for example i didn't read ToS. But i know what kind of information i provide to such sites (i mean using all needed things to protect confidential information).

So you no need to read ToS if you're not afraid about information you provide to them,

True. Its all just legal issues there in the TOS. Obviously if you have no plans to do stupid things in the casino you're just fine.  I have registered to facebook without reading its TOS, I only come back to its TOS page when I learned something from someone online about the changes they made on their privacy issues and TOS.

Unless you have submitted KYC documents to the casino, you really have to go back and read the TOS again. But that would be too late as they already have your data.   Grin

I want to make a survey from gamblers in the forum if they are really reading the TOS of the gambling sites they are playing with.

Therefore, I request you to vote and give an explanation on why you voted yes or no?
It seems simple to simply answer "yes", but in reality everyone who says "no" is because he or she makes the mistake that I once made, not reading the TOS, one should always read the TOS even though you can assume that they always say the same thing.

Although reading them may be something you should do when you are going to put money in a casino, I assure you that it avoids having bad times and long periods of time waiting for support to answer a ticket. ( the answer that you can get in the ToS)

I am going to mention three things that you can assume "Yes"/"Not" are in TOS and can bring you problems:
  • Depositing on a site and believing that you can withdraw your money without playing.
  • Deposit amounts to complete withdrawal amounts, e.g. Minimum withdrawal $ 50, you have $ 25 of balance in the casino, deposit $ 25 + to fulfill the withdrawal conditions.
  • Trying to withdraw profits without having made a deposit.

The list is long, it is shorter to read the ToS, even if they are not literally so.

There's no need to be upset
Mostly never. People are using to many apps today and they don't have time to read every TOS. I'm not talking just about gambling. I personally use more than 20 apps on my phone. And betting sites have mostly similar TOs so I just assume everything will be fine and just click accept.

Adding to it, most of the times Terms of Service are long and use quite complicated language.
Some TOS takes more than 20 minutes to read.

usually the Lindy effect and honest user reviews are better to knowing if you can trust the online casino, since they could disrespect their own TOS if it's a shady website.
