I read through the whole topic. So many people saying that the hacks are not etheruem devs fault. So pathetic. The devs made the wallet that had vulnerabilities. The dao hack was also the devs fault. In addition, no one seems to mention the fact there was a 92 million eth premine that was hidden. Let allow that v has now dumped the hidden 92 million.Nor does anyone seem to acknowledge that ethereum can not handle large numbers of transactions. Does no one know that pos has been delayed 3 times for over 2 years total. That is because pos does not work. I am sure some of the best devs in the world have worked on it to no avail. How about the implementation of the dirty bomb. This increases blocktimes which further slows down a network incapable of processing large amounts of transaction. Anyone that supports ethereum has not seriously researched the immense number of flaws and countless vulnerabilities. Seems like more often than not ethereum is having some problem. I use to feel sorry for people who were misled by all the false advertising that promotes ethereum. Now I think it is their own fault. If they lose money I no longer have empathy. I get the biggest laugh when people talk about the flipping. Etheruem will never replace bitcoin. With all the complaints about bitcoin transaction time and fees, even if ethereum became more valuable than bitcoin no one would wait on the transaction times. The only good ethereum did was bring knowledge of cypto to many people who had no idea what cypto was. With all the new reliable coins out their ethereum will fade away. Sure it will be pumped and dumped. Sooner or later people will realize what an unrepairable epic fail ethereum really is.

Didn't you learn in elementary school that you can't learn without making mistakes? Ethereum is driving interest in the crypto world right now with a growing number of projects attached to it.  There will be more projects that fuck up on ethereum, but that is because they are trying new things.

Eth is a good project and a great technology.
That's why so many company have chosen eth for their ico.
in a basic perspective.
Eth is victim of its success because after the ico, they need some fiat for their project (yeah you need to eat, to pay your employees, your appartment, the bills  Grin ) => so they must sale all their eth.
And don't forget that we, investor will always need eth for the ico too.

Eth is a must have that you want or not (except if you don't want participate at any ico).

Ethereum it's a good investment on the long term, the thing is that now it's not a good moment to buy. If you want quick money you shouldn't invest on ETH...

I don't support ETH. It is an opportunity to get in on ICOs. Therefore I hodl tokens, but I have no constant ETH balance. I just buy some in case I want to buy some fancy whitepaper stuf Wink The only coin I hodl is Bitcoin.

Why I'm not surprised to see so many childish comments? Roll Eyes No wonder ETH still retains high value against $. Market movers don't even need to sweat anymore, all they need is to imply they're building the Matrix and sheep will support them.

I find it a bit comical that you call other's comments childish when you yourself have not provided and fact-based arguments to be against or not support ETH at this point in time. Yes, there have been a few somewhat minor issues in recent months, but most of those were caused by ETH's over-popularity (ie: several ICO's launched at same time, which caused congestion in the ETH blockchain). And, most of the hacks that I read about were through exchanges or other 3rd parties, meaning nothing to do with the ETH network itself.

However, on the contrary, you've got tons of things lined up in favor of ETH, including most ICO using ETH network, and probably most impressive, MAJOR support from MAJOR multi-billion $ companies such as Samsung, Intel, Microsoft, major banks and a ton more.  Why not educate yourself and google Enterprise Ethereum Alliance?  Do you really think established and reputable companies like these are throwing their support and money behind a pump-and-dump scheme??

And, not only is the probably the most supported altcoin world-wide, it's price performance is also astounding... up over 2000% in the last 6 months! Yes, almost all Alts have risen in the last 6 months, but ETH is one of the few with staying power and probably over 90% of the crypto community alone is in this boat. So, did you really expect not to get challenged on your unsupported assertions about ETH?  Sounds to me like you probably bought in at $350 and are now pissed cuz you're either sitting on or already took a loss lol.  Cheesy

So you call the DAO, which shrank the market with some $3-$4 billion in a week, and the multiple hacks a minor issues? And you are saying Microsoft and other big companies are supporting Ethereum? How so? They are buying it on Bittrex? Then you said I probably bought at $350 and now being salty about it. All these bullshits you said are typical for newbies, forum trolls and... Ethereum "supporters".

You are the one who should educate yourself a bit better, before coming here and accuse others not doing so. Do you know why? Because the difference between you and me (in terms of what we know about digital currencies, their markets and people involved in them) is bigger than a bacteria and Burj Khalifa.

All ethereum hodlers will continue giving their full support no matter what it takes, the same way with bitcoin hodlers. In the end it's all about protecting your investment.

Yes, I'm still supporting Ethereum. I think it will be huge. Give it time. We're still in the early days. It's not a finished product.

Yes i still support ethereum. Although ETH has a lot of news that preach about ETH issues like hacking and such. That does not make me stop to support ETH. But with these issues can make it more secure in storing their ETH.

MAJOR support from MAJOR multi-billion $ companies such as Samsung, Intel, Microsoft, major banks and a ton more.

as it was said a billion times already, blockchain technology and all these different people, groups, corporations, banks, ... are only interested in the technology not the thing itself. the same with bitcoin and fools always see the front of the news and think they are adopting bitcoin.

you don't understand it now, and probably won't for a long time. but the day that this so called "Alliance" released their own version of smart contract platform based on ethereum but completely separate and unrelated to ethereum, that day i want you to remember this comment.

you can see how many flaws Microsoft is seeing in Ethereum:
https://web-beta.archive.org/web/20160827092146if_/http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/people/nswamy/papers/solidether.pdf
read this PDF, it is good for you.

One issue related to using smart contracts on a public blockchain is that bugs, including security holes, are visible to all but cannot be fixed quickly.[49] One example of this is the 17 June 2016 attack on The DAO, which could not be quickly stopped or reversed.[31]

There is ongoing research on how to use formal verification to express and prove non-trivial properties. A Microsoft Research report noted that writing solid smart contracts can be extremely difficult in practice, using The DAO hack to illustrate this problem. The report discussed tools that Microsoft had developed for verifying contracts, and noted that a large-scale analysis of published contracts is likely to uncover widespread vulnerabilities. The report also stated that it is possible to verify the equivalence of a Solidity program and the EVM code.[50]

Yes, I still supporting ethereum. I know that there are many losing their money on ethereum without knowing any reasons. For me, the reason is being not careful about the real site of ethereum wallet. The real site is end up with ".com" and the rest is not. So be careful of that because repentance is in the end.

Eth has become indispensable today. I also like it because many ico have the chance to start a start. I think it will always be high and still be the number two for a whole time

I'm not a supporter of ETH, it's unsecure coin and putting those virtual computers in blockchain will make it always unsecure.
Im sure that this crap will never replace BTC.

Yes, I am. I will support ethereum because I like their project. The volume maketcap is very high so that there are many investors are still supporting on ethereum. I know that there are many accusing on ethereum but its not real or it is error by user.

Also ethrium is the next bitcoin in the future and we all know that. There are ton of crypto now that is in the etherium platform and when the price of bitcoin hits high price mostly of the developers are in eth . I am supporting all atlcoins and cryptos because im earning from.it hehe

Yes! I still like ETH coin, at the moment i thinks is good and more. thanks

I still support it too, I think it has a big potential among those other coins. It's value is also high but not that much compared to bitcoins value. Among those other crypto curries ethereum has a big name in this industry, I know in the near future this coin will be recognized too and appreciated like btc.

Even if you dont want to, if you are supporting an ETH based ICO you dont want to let ETH fall.
It will be a problem with other coins that are just starting and the larger the ETH value is the more of the other coins you could buy which makes it more profitable. So best way is to suport it too rather than taking it down with threads that are bashing it.

Even with many ico's created through ethereum, i still cant believe that it still has many bashers. It is one of the most helpful successful ico's out there. There may be also flows like btc but i guess because its price is still producting it is prone to critics and questionable decisions. Because if the fail most ico too would crumble on its foundation
