Of course, if you have a lot of money, then the safety of your property is very important and necessary. I think most people in the market have to use this device, because it is a device that protects your ETH and many other coins, and I always prefer to use Ledger Nano S, because the wallet is considered the safest at this time.

Of course, this is the most convenient wallet for storing your tokens based on the ethereum. If you do not have enough security, you can use a hardware purse.

If you go to the official website of Mew, you see the instructions on how to download and install an offline wallet, and protect yourself from Dns spoofing and hackers.

With the recent hack, I assume a lot of people will switch to something else, what do you think?

I still recommend using a hardware wallet over the safety benefits though.

The safety of our coins are of utmost priority, that is why I also strongly recommend the use of hard wallets as compared to soft ones, although there are also several considerations. For example, a trader cannot just depend on hard wallets. They have no option but to use exchange wallets because it is where they do their job. But as for hodling or static investment, MEW is not a good option. It should be saved in a hard wallet. I still use MEW though but that is for bounty campaigns here.

Is this question still a thing or did something (new) happen with MEW? Isn't it as risky as ever - or rather as risky as using other online sites? Combining MEW with MetaMask, a hardware wallet and browser extensions like MetaCert makes it reasonably safe, I guess.

I still use Myetherwallet but with precaution. I don't use my private key to open my wallet instead I use JSON file to whenever I use it in my transaction. I also use Metamask for my other wallet if I trade in decentralize trading platform like ForkDelta.

Yes I am one who is still using MEW. It's not totally safe from hacker but its up to you how to manage or how you use MEW to aware hackers. Its good to know if something like hardware wallet will use for the safety of our coins.

Im still totally fine with using mew. With the required security precautions Mew is a very secure and easy to use wallet in my opinion. I will continue using it. So far I didnt have any problems with it.

myethereum wallet is used as a wallet for paid bounty campaigns and also for investments ICO in the form of ethereum. I only use MEW for that matter. If I do hold and invest long-term outside of the ethereum platform i use the wallet on market only
I don't know of my ethereum wallet and one should be careful with the spelling. As simple as the spelling, just a misplaced spelling might cost a fortune.

I have heard a lot of news about hackers hacking into accounts. I'm really afraid my money was stolen by them. So I bought a Nano Ledger. It's a cool wallet, and its security is great. My friend has used it for 2 years and has never been hacked. So I trust Ledger and I think you should buy yourself one.

Since in my first time here in crypto I already used myetherwallet as my altcoins wallet so it's been a long year of service to me without any trouble that I encounter, I still believe and trust mew to hold my tokens.

I am still using MEW. The reason is 1) I am using a hardware wallet (no chance for my private key to be hacked). 2) I am using the legit chrome extension of MEW, which is a offline version of MEW (not affected by the recent hack).

That's a good point. I think those are the extra steps everyone needs to take to stay safe. The hardware wallet being the most important.
Yes of course intul now I am using my hardware wallet because it is so safe to use . Hackers dont have chances to hack my account because I have secured it already.

I never use My ether wallet after hacking last months. i used ledger nano s to holding my coins right now. I advise you, if you want to use MEW, please connect it using Ledger or trezor or at least with meta mask.

until now I still use myetherwallet/Mew. If it's been previously compromised mew mew just another change order that assets owned will be safe. with mew therefore previously compromised should not be used anymore

I use MEW as well as a hardware wallet, Meta-mask and several paper wallets.  I just prefer to keep air-drop coins on MEW or Meta-Mask.  Any coins that i want to keep secure or HODL long i keep in my cold hardware wallet off-line.

Yes, This is my combination too. MEW+Meta Mask is safe in my opinion since you are not entering your private key frequently. Meaning your private key is safe, also you can generate  your wallet inside meta mask, this is very safe too.

I agree with you that there are people who switch with other wallet because they are now scared to loss their profit from hacking. But for me, mew is very safe you just need to be aware when going in mew sites because there are phishing sites that will surely hack and make your coins or tokens loss. I am still a user of mew, it is very useful for me in trading or making some transactions.

MEW is still my favourite. Almost all kind of wallets can be hacked one way or the other. A little caution is what can keep you safe.
