in my mind, there are some altcoins that will last that long, people like Ethereum, MONERO and NEO seem built to stand that long but there are many other altcoins that will end up dying in the market before that time because people will start to discover that these coins are useless and people will start to know the coins.
Yes I think so. There are thousands of alts that was planning to operate in the next 5 years and there are upcoming coins who were trying to do the same. Also, if you check the demand, it is increasing every year. The number of investors increase every year as well. I am not sure about the amount they were investing but I am basing my conclusion base on alts popularity and demand.
five years in the future could be even more than that time altcoin will survive. currently, altcoin start is widely used for many transactions in various countries. This certainly makes the selling points that will be owned by altcoin will be higher. Thus altcoin will be able to survive long periods of time with those reasons so calm and hold the altcoin you have for the long term.

I have seen many diffferent reasons for the long lasting of the coins. We can find more and more and more people are interested in the market and buy in more. WIt more people and more money we can fing the market boom in the future.
I think that coins with no purpose will die out eventually if exchanges were regulated so that prices couldn't be manipulated when that will happen, it's hard to say. I look at use cases for products, token metrics, and do research. I look at infrastructure projects and the potential for everyday use at this time.

If your altcoin came from airdrops or any shitty campaign then id suggest you if the project is not that active then dump it because it wont survive. However if your holding major altcoin like in top 20 then continue to hold for it because it will last until the end.

in my opinion, if I am not sure about this because all altcoin will not last for 5 years. And I think bitcoin and Ethereum,
will last for 5 years surely even I want to coin everything to last forever.
Not the word can last, altcoin will be there as crypto currency still alive. New projects still coming and coming with an erc20 token. So dont take an altcoin as a shit to ve honest altcoins has the power to give a big profit. Having a cheap price when starting then when biggest investor comes in price will easily climb
