Yes, it will last for five years and more years because users here will not be gone unless this forum will be dying. The flows of the market are already known by almost investors and who get a token. They are not loosing their hopes.

In my opinion alts can last for a long time because crypto will be used by more people in the future, the problem is not all alts right now will survive as there's a lot of project that can't deliver and will die slowly. If you have a lot of coin then you should check again and only hold some that has strong fundamental. 
five years in the future could be even more than that. altcoin still has a long journey even from the moment this could be a new beginning of a new one. many a good support for altcoin and certainly this will create value and demand for altcoin will be more good in a few know the future.
Altcoin that can last for 5 years is altcoin that has the potential and a lot of fans and has a strong and strong team that will survive, such as ethereum, ripple and litecoin. I believe that this altcoin will last longer.

It depends on what virtual money you have, and I think there are many projects that will disappear within 5 years. Then there must be a large majority of the holders disappointing. It is inevitable that no one can always choose to be right, and luck is part of the currency circle.
I believe there are coins maybe even existing today, maybe coming to the market in the future, that will stay exactly as have fiat currencies stayed. It all depends on the project and who can answer all the needs of the market with their money. so far crypto has been highly volatile and mostly not backed up by anything. Some are backed up by fiat currencies. The future ones will be backed up with permanent assets, which will give the needed stability for it. If they also solve it in a right way technically, then they have a possibility to see fiat currencies fading.
Popular coins will do survive and can last until crypto is on. I'm not sure about the others though. Crypto is the future and we can't deny that technolgy keeps improving and improving. Just make sure that you invest in good coins.
I can't guarantee that all altcoin will live for five years. But the top 20 crypto-currencies I believe will survive forever.

I am also sure that altcoins will be used in 5 years. Moreover, I foresee that the cryptocurrencies will live for many years. This century will become the ear of digital money that can replace fiat (partially).

Altcoins I think will last for several years because of the blockchain technology concept involved,they have come to salvage mankind from the centralized control of the powerful in the society. Altcoins make payment transactions to go smoothly from one person to another in a faster time.
For the next 5 (five) years, I do not yet have a strong analytical knowledge so I have not been able to confirm whether to survive or not. However, my advice, if you currently have a lot of coins that you hold, for now you better resist. At least about the future of altcoin, you better just enjoy it.

Yes. Coins that have working products will last since they have customers that keep the projects running.
Coins that are basically worthless will be less likely to do the same thing.
I think that maybe one of the altcoins will be able to replace bitcoin in its properties and advertising company. But until that happens, I can tell you that most likely Ethereum will exist in 5 years. The remaining coins in the future, I can not even imagine.

I think cryptocurrency will be able to survive more than the year you have stated then alt will also survive. I think that if you are holding alts which does not belong on the top 100 list then I think you need to start exhanging it with FIAT.
