They seem biased to me. A friend of mine who's doing an ICO told me that they paid 10ETH for 5 quality ratings and that's that! I noticed that some ICOs with good project, team, and good social media presence are struggling with getting good reviews.

With all that said, should it still be a factor to look at when investing in ICO?

Maybe not anymore, because many examples of ico with a good rating even only end with a scam.
Although there may be really good projects, but maybe we can find out in other ways.
And maybe this kind of situation makes us not confident enough to get involved in a large amount of ico.

Thank you for sharing the inside information. If the true is like you say that the score can be bribed, then there is no need to believe these ICO scoring websites at all.

ICO Rating sites a few years ago i feel very good quality and reliable. Because at that time the ICOS strategy was very little like now and the reliability was very high. But at present ICO rating sites i do not believe in this because some campaigns can still trick you into believing in ICO Ratings sites. So we must check a lot of information.

I do not believe. but that doesn't mean I've never seen an ICO rating site. I have opened ICO Rating sites several times, such as TrackICO or ICOBanch. just to see if there are new projects or not. I think the current ICO rating site is not objective, they are like being paid to make positive reviews so that ICO projects are more attractive to investors.

Nothing beats doing your own research on the ICO's underlying business concept, its commercial potential and team behind it.
ICO ratings sites are generally well-intentioned paid-promotions but a useful place to find out about upcoming ICO's, in general.

My tip, if the ICO rating site has an "About Us" section and informs visitors of where their business in registered and who are the directors etc., then they are more trustworthy that "anonynmous" ICO promoters.

However, everyone, Caveat Emptor .. do as much research as you can on the ICO company.

* Caveat Emptor: the principle that the buyer alone is responsible for checking the quality and suitability of goods before a purchase is made.

We must continue to analyze and research ICo very well to get proper consideration and analysis. Here, we can see that we cannot take ICO ratings as the only way to decide on choosing an ICO. The ICO rating site helps us analyze ICOs. However, that will not guarantee that the ICO is legitimate and there is no fraud.

I looked at the ICO Rating site to be pretty good at providing information about ICO ratings. That way we become easier in knowing the weight of the ICO that we follow. However, I also do not just race against information from the site, because the site is still not legally recognized from crypto, so it cannot be a sure reference.

I never believed in the ICO rating. because all that can be manipulated, I believe more in my observations. there are many projects that have good ratings but become scam project. and I think only fools make ICO rating as a reference for investing, without learning about the project.

I do not fully believe, as I know the ICO Rating website only helps in providing information, it does not come from institutions or official sources that overshadow all ICOs in crypto. So that the data provided is also not yet fully perfect, valid and not at all times update. Even so, I think that the ICO Rating site has been quite helpful for those of us who want to get information.

the site rating did not give objective results. Maybe if you still confused by analyzing yourself this can be used to search for the ICO. but it's better to try to analyze it yourself in order to get the results as expected. a lot happened to bad rating sites have ICO but in fact, can succeed and deliver big profit.

Personally, I do not trust ico evaluation sites because many of them are not shy about selling these estimates and therefore they can not be trusted.

I will not trust all ICO rating sites , but I also trust some , but even how much rating  a site can give or evaluate but , this is not a hundred percent that, the ICO they rated can be trusted fully , it is only a guidance or just a promotion also of ICO project, so it all depends really on that ICO being launched.

Rating sites are for filtering of the projects, they help to select some more popular and good ideas, but you should not invest without research. Among rating sites I can recommend IcoGuide.com, they have more or less realistic reviews.

indeed the rating also affects the good or not of an ico, but now when I want to choose an ico don't just judge from the rating because lately some scam ico have a good rating on an ico site.

True! I don't trust rating sites. I just use them to see if there are really interesting ICO's that are forthcoming.
I ask a lot in their Telegram community to do my own research.

ICO site rating I think it helps us in determining the selection of the ICO project. However, not all websites can trust rating of ICO. You have to be careful, when selecting projects the better you perform checks resetting. You could see from the look of the website and look at the team and the team manager must be experienced.
