Peace be with you!
I feel so bother and that is why I decided to ask this question.

We keep talking about gambling addiction and how bad it is to become addicted, does it mean that addicted gamblers lose money all the time? Do you means those guys doesn't win anything at all? Can they not be lucky to win jackpots?

On this board, we are always referring addiction as a terrible thing but does it mean that those addicted gamblers doesn't win money, are they only bounded to losses upon losses?
Gambling addiction doesn't really need to be losing or winning as that is only the part of gambling itself but what really gamblers lose is their precious time and of course their self as they only think of gambling the urge to gamble never stops and they will find whether good or bad ways ways just to satisfy their addiction.

Addiction tends to suggest that somebody has lost control of their emotions and been dragged so far into a habit that they are not thinking clearly. If somebody is playing casino games, there is a high chance that they will only lose money, because every single game is engineered to give an advantage to the house - these big casinos rely on it to fund everything they do. Even if we were to look at other games, like poker or sports betting where in theory someone could gain a profitable advantage, if people are addicted then they might be playing too much. If you play tired, without breaks, possibly under the influence or are acting out of desperation - it can lead you to make the wrong moves even if you are otherwise very skillful.

Gamblers losing money will make them come back all the time to take back the losses. That's what they do as being told every time by gamblers, they chase their loss and to win the money back, they keep wagering in hopes of hitting the jackpot of their lives. But even when they get the big win, most if not all are already addicted to the thrills.
A businessman creates a business like a casino, which is created so that everyone who plays there feels comfortable and safe so that they will come back again and again. Which makes them addicted when they win the game and want to get more and more than the previous one. This is very difficult for most gamblers to control. If they experience defeat at gambling, they continue playing and hope that in the future they will get what they want or be lucky. This is something very fatal how they chase previous losses and they just experience loss after loss all the time.

Yes, they can be quite lucky, and I have already seen them losing big money many times on gambling sessions through videos posted on Youtube. The problem is that they never stop playing, even when they make considerable sums of money, so it's just a matter of time until they end losing everything once again. On long run, the losses accumulated end becoming unrecoverable, despite them winning some jackpots between the losses.

Some lucky gamblers even achieve chasing losses and recovering all their money, reaching profit once again. If they were smart to stop playing on that time, they could quit in profit and put the money into good use, however, they get greedy (due to being addicted) and continue playing until entering a new wave of losses, which they try chasing again. However, the more they reach this stage, less likely it's going to be that they achieve chasing losses successfuly, because they are reaching closer to the long term, that is where the casino has the advantage due to the house edge factor.

These gamblers also make some money back from rakeback feature, although it's pretty possible they also use it to continue gambling until the last penny is gone...

Addicted gamblers also win, sometimes huge amount of money. But, the money lost so far are often higher than the money won  through gambling. In most cases, this money are not accounted for because these gamblers spend recklessly and still return back to gambling because they know there is more from where that came from. This lifestyle is as good as not winning anything at all.

Gambling addiction is not all about losing money. Addicted gamblers often invest a lot of time in gambling and this often affects other aspects of their lives negatively. I have seen cases where marriages get broken, jobs lost and relationships get strained all because of excessive gambling.  Whether gamblers are earning from being addicted or not, addiction is not a healthy lifestyle.

Addicts just like the regular gamblers and responsible gamblers also win and lose. However the difference lies in a lot of of factors like how much time is spent on gambling activities, how often then win, how much they risk in their stakes with respect to their earnings and even how serious they take their analysis. The fact is that gambling addicts spend more time during Gambling activities compared to responsible gamblers.
In addition, addicts tend to stake more during Gambling activities and also relatively tend to lose more stakes during Gambling activities. If you come to think of it , successful gamblers are often tagged as successful because of their numerous number of wins compared to their losses. In fact gambling addicts on the other hand are tagged as addicts because they lose more often than they make wins.

Statistically speaking, there are chances a person who is addicted to gambling could win some money during one of his sessions, that is true, but you also need to keep in mind the gambling addict do not care about what he has been able to win in a single session, they will always come back and likely lose that small win he had from the casino, there is where the problem lies, you know.
For example, a person who has a crippling gambling addiction could loss inna single win around 800$, but in the next day, he got lucky and got a win of over 1000$. what do you think he is going to do? stop and enjoy his win? Absolutely not, he will come back in the next day with those thousand dollars and will convince himself he has managed to find his charm or he has managed to find some technique to continue to win. Before he even realizes, he will be penniless again and will continue to gamble even further, accumulating losses, that is the problem with gambling addicts: they cannot stop and in their mind do not desire to stop after a reasonable win.

Addicted gamblers can wins in gambling but they still don't knows how often they can wins because that depends on their luck. If they are lucky, they can wins even many times but the casino will not lets the gamblers wins so much money. If gamblers can't controls themselves in gambling, they will becomes addicted to gambling and that will cause them loses much money. Even if he can wins, his losses will be bigger than his wins so he must understands that he can only playing gambling for fun. If addicted gamblers wins much money, they will not stops from gambling and will keeps playing gambling. Maybe they will come back to casino and continues playing gambling and hopes they can wins for more. It's a normal if they feels like that and even we also feels like that but we will still difficult to wins in gambling.

Gambling addicts do win money from gambling, they are not exempted from winning too just as non-gambling addicts. We might be shocked to know that gambling addicts could be getting much wins than those of us that gamble responsibly but those wins don't show in their lives because they without hesitation gamble back those wins instead of using the money to build something development to their life. It is for this that addiction is said to be a terrible attitude.

Gambling addiction is so terrible that people won't know or even believe that as a gambler you have ever won some good amount of money before because they are not seeing any signs around you that depict that due to how mesmerizing addiction must have gotten a better part of the person.

If a gambling addict can spend all of his hard earned salary at ones within a gambling session how much more will he not squander money won from gambling back into same gambling it was gotten from?

Good examples are streamers who have lost huge amounts in gambling. You can see that they're winning good every now and then, but they don't consider it as something positive, thus continuing to gambling which ends up to them losing it all. If they just realize that they already made money for the day, they wouldn't be too deep into losses at all.

The streamer example you gave, I don't think they are even to be considered as addicts because they are in it to win more members to follow them and that is strictly for business. They are also not in the same level with gambler who is an addict because they are paid to stream unlike the gambler that won't have any fall back bankroll when he loses his capital. Hence, on the last part, streamer don't discontinue even when they realize that they have made money, they continue to see that they show intending members how to take the right steps in betting a particular game.

Streamers are not meant to be in the picture as it's not regarded a form of addiction. Streamers as you already said, Gozie, are in for the business and are just marketers who work for the casino. Rumor has it that they get funded by the casino to wager while streaming. Back to the discussion, I'd say that addicts always lose, nothing else. It's a dreaded form of gambling and not all addicts make it to 5 minutes in the game before all their money gets exhausted.

I've read of an addict that goes all in immediately he gets to the casino. So, gambling addicts find themselves always losing. That doesn't mean they don't win, it's normal for every gambler to win money, but what mostly matters is whether the gambler went on or stopped after winning. If the player doesn't stop, he'd most definitely lose out all his funds again. Hence, gambling addicts belong to the group of players who don't actually stop regardless of how much they've won in the game. The result always ends up in losses, as they don't get tired of the game. That's what addiction is about, they can't stop playing.

They do win money, some of them are actually that lucky, these gamblers who are addicted don not loose money all the time, they only behave in a way that sometimes doesn't present them to be in control of their habit and that's is why it has always been referred to like a problem and not the fact that they win money or not, they actually do win money but they most times don't get to make good use of the money and that gets to put them in the situation where they are been considered bankrupt and since they seem to lack control over the habit, they eventually result to unhealthy habits to fund their gambling habit which in turn make many others consider them bad.

These addicted gamblers could actually be winner who probably win game often but they do reinvest the money back because they tend to believe they are most definitely goin to make back the whole fund on their next game and due to the fact that they are addicted, they always have this urge to gamble and they try to satisfy it by almost every means possible which sometimes includes using funds that may not be theirs as well.

The main reason why gamblers still play is clearly because of the hope of winning. so gamblers will not always experience defeat in gambling. some random wins are common. it's just that addicted gamblers have no control over their gambling, so instead of looking for safe bets, they will gamble until they get their targeted winnings. that's what makes them experience defeat more often than victory.

Gambling addiction is quite dangerous, it does not only relate to the gambler himself. but also the people around the gambler. including family and friends who can suffer the effects of their bad addiction.
gamblers see the chances of winning as they wish. and that's what makes it very difficult for them to stop before they lose everything.

Yes, addicted gamblers lose money frequently because they are always finding it difficult to stop gambling whenever they are losing, which is always making them lose frequently. When gambling, you are supposed to know when you should stop gambling, when you are losing, you should know when to stop, and when you are winning, you should also know when to stop. Don’t say you won’t stop gambling just because you are winning, the winning won’t continue.

Do you means those guys doesn't win anything at all? Can they not be lucky to win jackpots?
Addicted gamblers do win, but if the amount won and lost is calculated, then you will come to discover that the amount lost is more than the amount they have won. The mindset addicted gamblers always have is that if they don’t stop gambling, time will come when they will be able to hit the jackpot.

That's why it's important to control ourselves so we don't overdo it. Sometimes people are never satisfied with our winnings at gambling so they continue the game trying to get more, even though they should have stopped gambling but instead they continue, that's the wrong choice, definitely not. will be successful because gambling is not like that. You have to know when to gamble and stop gambling. If you can do that, it means that person can control himself properly.

Everyone must have been like that, never feeling satisfied with their winnings and achievements in gambling, even though victory will not come a second time in one moment, but people prefer to continue gambling so they lose and go bankrupt and even become addicted to gambling which ultimately makes them continue to be curious. and continues to play even unconsciously experiencing defeat every day without caring how much money he has lost from his savings, this is like seeing my friend because it's almost like that, but he has changed his game to be more calm and relaxed, he doesn't want to achieve high wins for him now is to win with whatever profit is enough to enjoy it.

Some addicted gamblers actually win money from what they're doing, but they're so into gambling that they don't consider these 'wins' as wins at all because they are locked into winning the jackpot at all times. If they are not hyperfocused in winning the big bucks, they would realize that there are days wherein they are doing good which may even make them 'feel good' in gambling because it's not always losses after all.

Talking about the badness of gambling addiction does not mean that a gambling addict never wins when placing a bet, because I am sure that if we play every once in a while we will definitely win as well as gambling addicts, gambling addicts are the behavior of an irresponsible gambler who thinks that gambling is a a place to earn a living so that every day they will gamble and are even willing to lose everything even though they are actually aware that if they continue to play they will continue to suffer losses.

Gambling addicts might have more chances to win big since they gamble more. However, it shouldn't be an excuse to gamble more than you can afford to lose. Gambling is practically a game of luck, so these people also win, and some also win big. But the problem with them is that even when they win big, they still gamble off the money. This is the reason why many gamblers who win big become broke after some time. This is because instead of investing the money, it will still go back to betting. It is noteworthy to include that gambling addiction is not a terrible condition but a behavioral disorder that can be handled if it is given the right approach.

It is not that addicted gamblers don't win huge amount of money, they do but due to addiction they don't use the money to invest or for an important purpose but they gamble all their wins in one night or two.

Addicted gambler and a responsible gambler is bound to losses upon losses, because we loss more than the getting profit, which is why it is very bad to be addicted. This is because when you are addicted, you will not be able to control your losses which is connected to your emotions , which is the only difference between an addicted gambler and a responsible gambler. You should also know that money will not always be there for you to gamble which makes it unethical to be addicted, because at a point you might become a pest on people around you.
