Honestly speaking those who are addicted to gambling also hit the jackpot, but the issue is that they don't actually know when to stop, which is pretty bad because most time they are not satisfied with their win , or they are always trying to get back their losses by gambling regularly.

So just imagine gambling, without having a break or calling it a day , or someone who can't get gambling out of his mind. Such individual will definitely go through alot because the chances of he or she making losses maybe higher than making Profits. Which may lead to all such of negative effects.

It seems to me that gambling addiction can have several stages like other addictions. For example, the easiest stage of gambling addiction is when a person becomes interested in gambling and it becomes a kind of hobby for him. He may not gamble for weeks or months, but sometimes allows himself to make a bet or play poker. In the more severe stage, the person gambles every week or two and they dominate over other recreational activities. In this stage, the gambler may limit themselves both financially and in their desires. The hardest stage is when a person cannot imagine his life without gambling. Nothing is more important to him than to find money and keep gambling. He does not care whether he wins or loses, he just wants the gambling process to continue. In my opinion, this stage can be referred to the dopamine trap from which only specialists can help to get out.  

Gambling addiction absolutely does not only have to with winning or lossing, any one can loss any one can win too, but however, there are attributes that are mainly associated with a gambling addict which are as follows

1. They can borrow money to gamble

2. They spend much time gambling

3. They can gamble with the amount they can't afford to lose

4. They are much emotional when they loss

5. They continue gambling even when they are lossing

6. They can go extral mind looking for money to gamble with

7. They can sell their property just to gamble

The truth is that addicted gamblers do actually win a lot then maybe after lose it all back and that's when the main effect that's class them as addicted gamblers kicks in which is the time they start losing control and vigorously start chasing after their loses which for sometimes can consume all their bankroll without them even actually knowing this till the whole harm is done and the feeling of regrets kicks in

Addicted gamblers will do anything to enjoy gambling because they don't care about their money at that time. and started spending huge amounts of money on gambling. at one point he does not even hesitate to sell his house. so gambling addiction is a very bad thing, the person who gets involved in it keeps losing. Regardless of the outcome at the end of the session, it is a fact that the money will eventually be used to fund their gambling habit for the next time, meaning that no matter how much you win if you are already in the addiction phase then over time the amount of winnings will definitely be used to fund your gambling habit, and I would say that the real victory in gambling is when you are able to cash out everything to enjoy and then quit gambling activities completely.

That will cause him use more money than the others and will makes him lose much money.
But if those gamblers can control himself in gambling, he will not lose much money because he will always limits his money that he used to gamble. He will understand that he must stay away from the addiction that can gives him many problems.
Those gamblers can bankrupt but the casino will gets his money and those gamblers will regrets it. We must prevents gambling using much money or too often so we don't have to lose much money and that is the key to stay away from the addiction.
