Addiction to gambling is mostly about your inability to control yourself, not about the number of times you win or lose from gambling. Somebody can win a lot and still be addicted to gambling because they are not satisfied with whatever amount they win, and they keep going back to gambling without even giving themselves a break,  while someone who loses, can be addicted to gambling because they do not know how to tell themselves to stop even when they are losing amounts of money that they cannot afford to loose.

Yes, you are totally correct and no matter how much they loss or win doesn't make them not to be an addict, and even those who are not even an addict still lose money, gambling is a game of luck and chance, it doesn't matter if you are addict or not.

So as far as gambling is concern, you can either lose or win, no matter how you gamble and it's not everytime someone win or lose in gambling, that is why its called gambling, sometimes you win and sometimes you loss but no matter how we gamble, it's very essential to gamble with what we can afford as you said and it won't affect us too.

I feel so bother and that is why I decided to ask this question.

We keep talking about gambling addiction and how bad it is to become addicted, does it mean that addicted gamblers lose money all the time? Do you means those guys doesn't win anything at all? Can they not be lucky to win jackpots?

On this board, we are always referring addiction as a terrible thing but does it mean that those addicted gamblers doesn't win money, are they only bounded to losses upon losses?
Don’t get the word addiction twisted.
In most cases addicted gamblers are the losers in gambling and mostly the ones who chase after their loses and making it seem their lives depend on a particular win.
From my personal observations, I’ve come to realize that, when a gambler makes consistent losses without taking any redress, then his tend to be addressed as an addicted gambler but when the reverse is the case and there are winnings, I mean remarkable winnings, irrespective of how frequent and often such a gambler gambles, he or she might be addressed as a professional gambler.

Now answering your questions directly, an addicted gambler is one who gambles frequently without making any obvious wins and tends to chase after their losses.

Another question is: Is it really necessary for an addicted person to always win? After all, everyone understands perfectly well that this is impossible. But those who need games will play regardless of the results, whether they win or not. The process of the game itself is more important for him; even if the player wins, he continues until he loses all the winning money.
To me this is where to know how responsible someone could be because to me I don't see any reason while someone could play untill he loses all their winning. Already as you said, it's good to play and win but after winning at least the person should have distanced the casino if that person wants to maintain a healthy gambling safety or being responsible gambler. Gambling is something that is opening and freely accessible by everyone but the ability for one to consciously have that rethink of knowing when to stop and how to play makes them a responsible person in gambling.

They also earn money from their gambling, but because they are addicted to gambling, in the end they just gamble all their money every day without stopping, that is a problem, because casinos have a house edge which makes the gambler's chance of winning slimmer and that will cause a greater percentage of gamblers to lose. Because gambling is not just about gambling every day, but also gamblers need to consider taking a break from their gambling activities - because wise gamblers are those who can manage their finances well and not gamble excessively and they understand when to stop.

Yes, the topic of gambling addiction is very widely discussed in this thread, but no one claims that all players, without exception, are addicted to gambling. The fact is that only a small number of gamblers experience addiction problems, but each addiction is a "high-profile case". Gamblers without addiction are not visible, unlike addicts, so there may be a false feeling that almost all players are heavily addicted. But in fact, there are quite a lot of players who win and are quite happy in gambling.

Yes, they will always lose money even if there are instances that they win something big, at the end of the day, it will all go back to gambling and they will just lose that money to it. I mean the logic is that they're called an addict for a reason, big wins basically to this people are just a way to further abuse their gambling habit, so technically they don't lose all the time but as they are already an addict, the money would still be losing and that they're not getting anything at the end.

There are many stories of such cases. A man wins hundreds of thousands dollars in poker and loses it all the same day to slots or roulette. The thing is with addicted gamblers is that they won't stop until they lose everything. If they have money - they gamble, like they don't understand what else can you do with it.

So, the answer to the question in the OP: No, addicted gamblers don't only lose money all the time, but being chronic losers as they are, they lose all their winning all the time. That's true.

Any person who once comes to a casino is faced with losses. And, of course, losing means losing money. However, people who are addicted to games tend to gamble more often, which suggests that their chances of losing more money are higher.

Agree, especially if a person didn't handle well the money they've won, it will easily go back to gambling that's why it's highly advisable that once you win in gambling, take some rest, treat yourself  and use the money in the most worth it way like buying importante stuffs, put it in your savings or investment because many people believe that the money comes from gambling activity is easy to run out and lose it because you got it in the easiest way.
Addicted person in gambling will playing gambling too often than other people and they will use more money too. They will not realizes about how much their money that they use to playing gambling because their focus is only playing gambling. Although they can wins, they will use that money plus the wins money to keeps playing gambling and will not thinks to stops the games even if they can wins more money. Those who addicted to gambling will abuse their gambling habit because gambling is their priority and they will still playing gambling every day. That can makes addicted people in gambling lose their money more than other people because they don't thinks about how they will stops their gambling activity and enjoy the wins money. They needs to realizes about their addiction and trying to asks for helps to cure the addiction in gambling.

Addiction is so far from Winning. Addiction is one thing and Winning is another thing. Miracily some new gambler won the board but it's not a way to win. For luck, he won the match. It's natural they will win jackpots, or not. It depends on his fate.

Why isn't addiction a terrible thing? Surely addiction is so terrible thing that destroys many gamblers' lives with their family life. I saw many gamblers hanging their own life till to death for a long time suffering from debt.

So, I can say to gamblers. Please keep yourself far from gambling.

Why do you look on addiction on from negative point of view. What about those who win millions and rings in World Series of Poker? These people are addicted to gambling. They are rich. They gamble for living and in total they are in profit from gambling addiction. Gambling addicted person isnt necessary a person who looses. A person who own a casino is a businessman and gambling addicted person also.

Gambling can be like drugs, because it stimulates the same hormone release as with the use of drugs. The gamblers brain release "Dopamine" when they hit something big and your body gets that "feel good" chemical that it urge for.

So, some people gets addicted to that rush and they start to gamble more recklessly to get that rush of chemicals. The gambler then lose more money, because they are hunting for that "big" win... thus losing more often.

It is true that when someone is addicted to gambling, they will gamble more often than other things, of course this will be very detrimental to them because what they spend cannot be paid for by the winnings they get on their bets. It is important for us to be able to control The gambling activities that we do do not have a negative impact on our financial condition and it would be better if we could limit the funds we use for gambling.
His situation will becomes worst when he is addicted to gambling because he never see what is really happens to him and he only wants to playing gambling without stops. He never calculate how much money he already lose or how much money he will use to continue playing gambling.
He can not control his gambling activity because in his mind is only wants to playing gambling. If he doesn't have people who cares to him, he will addicted to gambling without see the reality and will not have a chance to cure himself.
We can not imagine what will happens to people like that which addicted to gambling because he will lose everything he had, including lose his family. One thing that he must realizes that he needs to open his minds so he can see what happens to him.

Honestly speaking those who are addicted to gambling also hit the jackpot, but the issue is that they don't actually know when to stop, which is pretty bad because most time they are not satisfied with their win , or they are always trying to get back their losses by gambling regularly.

So just imagine gambling, without having a break or calling it a day , or someone who can't get gambling out of his mind. Such individual will definitely go through alot because the chances of he or she making losses maybe higher than making Profits. Which may lead to all such of negative effects.
one thing about gambling is that when you don't have a statistics or method you derived to participate in gambling neither monthly or weekly you will be derailed or be addicted to the extent that it will not be controllable, so from my observation and understanding for gambling and people who always be addicted is that they always be curious of gambling and they are more of inquisitive to make profit in gambling that's one of the factors that pushes gamblers to be addicted in gambling, I know very well that gambling is something you need to understand the procedures before,, because if you don't understand gambling you will be left without any achievement when you're addicted

I am not addicted, the reason why I said I was wondering why is because, people talk more about the ill effects of gambling addiction without acknowledging that gamblers who are addicted are also wining even while they remain addicted. Let's talks about different things too, as an addicted gambling, how often do you lose and how often do you win? ? No body have asked such question or does it not matter?
It doesn't matter IMHO.

Losing and winning are there when we gamble but to answer that, we mostly lose at most times.

So let's say that I had a good day this day, tomorrow and for the next day I think that losses are going to come more often to me before I win again.

Or it's vice versa, you really can't tell at all unless you are the one who experienced it.

You are completely wrong and as such, I disagree with you, winning or losing in gambling has nothing to do with whether the gambler is addicted or not, luck does not know who is addicted to gambling and who is not, both addicted and non addicted win accordingly and based on who encounters good luck and when.
Are you in any way saying that lucky is the major player who decides if a gambler will win or not? I believe luck has a role to play, but that's not in every game and not all the time.

There are times where one might feel too lucky and play any and any game due to how distracted they might be as a result of either losing too much or being eager to win big.

In such cases, do you still think luck can allow the person to win, or will the result of the game be otherwise? In sports betting, I really think prediction skill is one of the tools that determines the gambler's winning strength.

Gamblers lose money all the time.

Your experience in gambling; when you started gambling or being an addicted gambler makes no difference in that situation, as you will most likely lose money all the time as a gambler.

The bigger question is that, the few times you win, does it surpass your losses ?

Yep, any gambler has a chance to win the jackpot, including the addicts. Sure, addicts won't stop even if they win a big jackpot because playing gambling already becomes an important part of his daily life. Normal gamblers may stop for a while to enjoy the win, but the addicts probably continue to win a higher prize. Even, the addicts may try to use more money when they can win the game. They may assume using more money will make bigger chances for the next wins.

So just imagine gambling, without having a break or calling it a day , or someone who can't get gambling out of his mind.
Is it really possible to gamble a whole day without a rest/break?
Honestly, it is too much. Even it is possible, I can't imagine how much money to use for gambling a whole day.
We must know how to be a disciplined gambler, we know when to gamble and when to stop it. Personally, I have a certain time to gamble, I never do it all day because I have a lot of business even though it's on the weekend. I stick with my gambling schedule, it is the key to be a disciplined gambler for me.

4. They are much emotional when they loss

5. They continue gambling even when they are lossing

6. They can go extral mind looking for money to gamble with

7. They can sell their property just to gamble

The listed attributes are correct for addicted gamblers which is usually what is mostly and only talked about but do we fail to realize that those addicted gamblers are also winning their bets mostly all the time and still spend the winning at the casino without using the money for something good, why didn't you include that in your attributes? Should I guess it's because you don't even realize that those addicted gambler keeps winning. Those guys are winning too and sometimes the money won can be huge and they need help to be able to make good use if that money and not just waste it on gambling too.
