Yes, it works if you have a huge bankroll. And by huge, i'm saying 1:10000000. That much. You have to be covered for a HUGE losing streak. But if you have 10 bitcoin and a satoshi base bet, and you bet on let's say... fastdice for a week, you could make more than a bitcoin! Cheesy

when I use a martingale, it only works in the beginning and then if it is play too long always lose

May be strategy martingale it works,
 but not works forever
I just sometimes use this strategy

yes maybe actually did work, but because I am greedy and play too long so very bad.

if the site that you are using for this method is in fact provably fair, then it should not matter how long you play. there really should not be any difference between 20 rolls and 200000 rolls as long as it is fair you are going to lose using martingale method.
it is only your chance that let you win and lose after a longer time.

i never said it is a good idea to martingale..Huh i am saying that why is there a limit ? why ? because if a player bets 50000 coins and won and he would never come back again, and so the casino is fucked .
how to avoid that ? how to make the user play more and lose because of house edge ? LIMIT THE BET ,so simple.

Fine then, we both agree that it is not a good idea to use martingale.  The max profit is set based on the site bankroll and on Kelly formula, and yup it is there to reduce risk to the house. But as I said in my first reply to your post, it is not targeted specifically to martingale gamblers and indeed there is no need for the house to do something to "counter martingale".

the theoretically yes it works with two conditions which one of it is infinite bankroll and the second one would be infinite bet amount.

and fact is that it is not possible to have an infinite bankroll and even if you have an "infinite" bankroll it will still not be possible to win by using it because all site has its own maximum win/ maximum payout which at the peak point your martingale will not be working because it exceed the maximum eligible amount

Bet limit it's only an indication on how much the house is willing to lose in on roll. At the end, it won't matter if it's by martingale or any other strategy.

Nope, but if you honestly believe that martingale is a winning strategy in the long term, you could use a lower base bet. The 200000 clam max profit on JD allows you to double your bet 44 times at max.
And btw, do you have 1500 bitcoin and are willing to risk losing them? If not, it is not an issue for you.
we are not discussing our own financial issues here, please recheck the point i have placed in the previous posts.
all sites have a limit to avoid losing tons when high rollers gamble.

CMIIW, your point was that the max profit was there to prevent players from using martingale. And now you know the max profit on JD is so high that players can double their bet 44 times at most. So are you worried about having 45 losses in a row on a trusted provably fair site? If so, you have to agree it is a bad idea to do martingale. If not, you and others should go make JD bankrupt.

It is not. But if you believe the max profit is the only thing stopping you from winning, you can play on JD which has a min bet of 0.00000001 clam and a max profit of over 200000 clam (=1100 btc).
ok what if a user start martingaling at 100 coins ?can he recover after losing 3 bets even if he knows that he is going to win the next one ?
no he cant because doog dosent wants to lose .

I've never heard anyone claim that casinos set their maximums to prevent martingale. Only that martingale is prevented by maximum bets (i.e., all keyboards have keys, but not all keys are part of keyboards).
yes they do set that to prevent martingale,as the player might have a chance of losing lower than 1 in 100 gazillion times.
atleast all the online shit has it ,PD has 20 coins limit JD has it too.

Casinos love martingale players. It's also a myth that minimums and maximum bets are there to prevent Martingale.

Minimums are there because casinos consider bets that are too small to be a waste of time considering overhead, and maximum bets are there because the variance is too high for the casino to handle.

Nah, they have it because they dont have infinite amounts of money, in the long term martingale will fail anyways even if you play with 1 satoshi bet and if you play with such low amount of base betting you would need to play 200 million bets to get 1 btc profit, it would take you so long that is not worth it

Actually i did hear a lot of people saying casinos put max bets because of martingale. Obviously any casino has to have a limit because they dont have infinite money, in online casinos with bitcoin, maximum bets do not prevent martingale or make it worse, it's the same, it does not really matter if the casino has 1 bitcoin max bet or 100 bitcoin max bet

From my observations on this thread, most of the martingale gamblers do not care much about EV or probability analysis, but perhaps will only accept "martingale doesn't work" after busting themselves. Tongue

If martingale really worked & was 100% effective all of the time then there would be no casinos because they'd all be bankrupt. Sure it may work in patches & make the game slightly in your favour but there are no guaranteed strategies to beat casinos all of the time.

Just enjoy gambling, don't try & be too clever or you will lose everything.

If it is not working why there are so many people still using this as their strategy? I think artingale is useful but not in a long run, after you win some you should probably stop it for a while and later continue it or if you dont want you can start again tomorrow, it is better

maybe because they are much luckier than those who says its not working and also they know how to stop while using martingale strategy unlike me the don't stop until i lose Cheesy its just a matter of moderation and luck of course. just today i've tried martingaling on MD and luckily made a 10% profit then stopped, tomorrow is another day Cheesy
