I think that Yanukovych have much more chances to become a version of happy end. Returns to the office, signs a decree on restoration of the constitutional order and performing a referendum. Then, two hours later voluntarily resigns and a legitimate transitional government will be formed.
There are rumors that Yanukovich will back into Ukraine at 20 April. This date was announced by polish FM related sources, and confirmed by Aksyonov.

I also read it on Russian channels, but consider the rumour unfounded, until the situation is on the way to improvement.

There is a storm of a military base in Donetsk by unknown persons. Both sides shoot into the air, while attackers yank at the gates and throw molotov cocktails.

I wonder if this is the provocation that there was talk about yesterday, where a group from Right Sector were to stage an attack against a military installation?

Putin will be in Donetsk in less than 2 weeks.

Not improbable. From what I heard on Donetsk open comm channel yesterday, people were wondering why there still was no help from Russia.

Reported and film crew of three from TV channel "Russia" got detained by military near Levkovka, not far from Harkov without any explanations. The last SMS from them was "We are detained" sent 18:37, after which their mobile phones went dead:

Their names are:
Evgenij Reshetnev - special reporter
Sergej Truskov - camera operator
Vadim Klivanov - technical engineer

Someone was stupid to pull the trigger:

Three people were injured after Ukrainian troops heading for Kramatorsk airfield in armored vehicles fired at a car attempting to block their way, RIA Novosti reports citing anti-government activists.

The incident took place near the village of Pchyolkino, south of Kramatorsk. The car was placed in the way of a convoy of an unknown number of vehicles, which then continued driving towards the airfield.

According to the activists, two people received leg injuries and a third one was shot in the shoulder. The wounded activists sought medical help.

Another huge set back for the Kiev regime. More than 100 Ukrainian soldiers currently being disarmed near Kramatorsk.

Also, 16 APCs, 500+ UKR soldiers sieged in Pcholkino near Kramatorsk by 1500 strong mob. Exits blocked.  Grin

I sometimes think that "Tsar Bomba" would be extremely useful now. Yep, it's terrible thought but sometimes it seems that it's a great solution of Jarosh & Tyagnibok problem... Just drop it on nazis and world will become peaceful place.

This one is a bit scary.
A report by Right Sector guy from the "Eastern Front", blaming Turchinov in not conducting an operation, but on the contrary pushing for surrender among the officers.
Complains that the natonalists get pushed around the most, that the officers are complete idiots and have no battle experience, unlike their own guys. Officers don't know how to take strategic points. Complains that the weapons they got are old and in bad condition, completely unlike those they got from Chechens and Georgians in Caucasus. Generals stole all resources for their summer houses.
And finally that part of the officers are for the "Moscovites", but that they'll deal with them during battle (backstabbing?).

@Paya: My thoughts too. They in Kiev are trying to save face by pushing it further into the mud.

247crypto post:
Ukrainian Mass media report that between 3 and 40 APCs have broken out of encircling in Kramatorsk and are fleeing, pursued by protesters in cards and quad-bikes.

Really?!  Grin APC being pursued by bikes?! and the spread of between 3 and 40? Another way of saying "we don't know how many if any at all" Smiley

Ok this is getting really ridiculous now. Why the hell would anyone want to publish something which -if it was true- should be kept as top secret?

A pathetic attempt at hiding the frustration. If I remember correctly, some 300 soldiers surrendered in total. The protesters took away the APCs and the truck. The soldiers were allowed to unload the ammunition and keep their small arms with them. The surrendered soldiers were given food, and then allowed to go back to their native towns and villages.
