I bet on the 9th of May 2015 , their situation will be the same ( living standard i mean).

If they join Russia, then their living standards would definitely change for the better. Pensions and salaries will increase by many times, and they will qualify for generous welfare benefits such as the maternity capital.

And those money will come from?
Why would salaries increase just because they are not under Ukraine rule?

Will their productivity increase out of the blue? =)))))

Now really , this Russian propaganda about wages and pension is just disgusting.

It's unlikely that they will be joined. RF needs a reliable buffer state on the borders, to separate from NATO shills.

Then a semi-independent state similar to Abkhazia or South Ossetia can be created. Almost all the citizens will possess Russian passports, thereby making them eligible to the Russian salaries and benefits.

Many have already forgotten why people protested in Maidan. Now, the Russian Government – Vladimir Putin and his cronies – is hiding Victor Yanukovych and other contributors responsible for murdering people in Maidan, inadequate crackdown on protesters, kidnappings, organized assassinations, etc.

The main reason for protests was feeling of injustice – everyone understood that election was doctored, and the corruption in governmental agencies was incredibly high. The golden bread of Yanukovych, and his villa, full of stolen goods revealed everything. Still, there are even more telling facts. For example, the stamps of all electoral commissions, which were found in one of the headquarters of the Regions party at the end of February.

Currently, the members of the Regions party are rearing their heads in Doneck, supporting the activities of Russian saboteurs and collaborators. Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin claims that Victor Yanukovych is the legitimate president of Ukraine.

Actually, he never was a legitimately elected president. He was a fraud, who came to power illegally by making a parody of election. A fraud, who sold himself to Russia, which now attacked Ukraine. A thief and a murderer, who wants to trigger a civil war in Ukraine.

Freedom?
Freedom from the current government and ending in the trap of another !
That's not quite right.

There is no government, no constitutional order in the Ukraine. So-called government allows itself to use an army against civil people... So, their removal definitely will be a step to freedom.

Which side is winning now?

In a war the is no winning side. It's just a side that has less casualties than the other.

From my point of view they could all just end this and go to their home and have a drink. There are better thinks to do in Ukraine and more urgent than this.

Night gun battle reported in Mariupol. Apparently, shits hit the fan when federalists tried to enter police (or army) base to ask men stationed there to abandon it, which they refused. It is unclear what happened afterwards but shooting can be heard all over the place. RT mentiones one dead and twelve injured among the locals.

Quote
“Twelve people were injured. One of the attackers died,” Mariupol’s website stated quoting law enforcement officials. A group of several dozen protesters arrived at the base, located in the turbulent Donetsk region, on Wednesday evening. They called on the troops to abandon the base, but the soldiers didn't listen, the demonstrators said. Instead, the troops opened fire at the protesters, injuring at least four people. One of them took a bullet in his chest and is in serious condition, according to protesters.
