If the US begins genuine lethal weaponry supplies to Ukraine, we should not be shy about supporting the militia, including with weapons, and to give the president the right to send military units on to Ukrainian territory,” Emelyanov told journalists.

It´s a reminder that Russia is ready and prepared to act if the mob chooses to escalate the situation.

Poroshenko issued an order to start a large armed "special operation". No details are given. The excuse is Volnovaha.

Yesterday, in a vote that largely slid under the radar, the House of Representatives passed a resolution urging Obama to send lethal aid to Ukraine, providing offensive, not just "defensive" weapons to the Ukraine army - the same insolvent, hyperinflating Ukraine which, with a Caa3/CC credit rating, last week started preparations to issue sovereign debt with a US guarantee, in essence making it a part of the United States (something the US previously did as a favor to Egypt before the Muslim Brotherhood puppet regime was swept from power by the local army). ...

That already happened when US appo9inted the Ukrainian government and President, and when one of the radicals in the government threatened Kolomojskij with the US forces.

According to the latest UN numbers, over 6000 people perished in the US-instigated civil war in Ukraine.

Congress Demands War in Ukraine!

Just weeks after a European-brokered ceasefire greatly reduced the violence in Ukraine, the US House of Representatives today takes a big step toward re-igniting -- and expanding -- the bloody civil war.

A Resolution, "Calling on the President to provide Ukraine with military assistance to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity," stealthily made its way to the House Floor today without having been debated in the relevant House Committees and without even being given a bill number before appearing on the Floor!

Now Kolomoisky sacked by Poroshenko, the former's private army is on alert to attack government buildings, hundreds protest in Kiev asking for Yatsenyuk's head, that finance minister, the Chicago born lady will probably become PM, the junta still shells Donbass towns, and what the Americans want: send more weapons. Only continuing conflict would save the Americans' puppets in Kiev in short term.

The State Duma intends to once again authorize Putin to send troops to Ukraine
What's the sense? Previous authorization is still in force since the summer of 2008, no additional legislative actions required.

Maybe they want to update it. Maybe to authorize more troops to be sent?  Huh Roll Eyes

The State Duma intends to once again authorize Putin to send troops to Ukraine

Translated from Russian by J.Hawk

“The Russian Parliament ought to once again give the President of the Russian Federation to use armed force in Ukraine if the US decides to send sizable arms supplies to that country.” This announcement was made by the First Deputy Chairman of the “Just Russia” faction, Mikhail Emelyanov.

The US House of Representatives adopted a resolution on Tuesday recommending the US president to approve arms supplies to Ukraine. The resolution calls on the president to “use the authority provided by Congress to furnish Ukraine with lethal defensive weapons.” According to the authors of the resolution, this measure would “increase the Ukrainian nation’s ability to defend its sovereignty.” The authors of the resolution also exclusively blame Russia for the deaths suffered during the conflict in Eastern Ukraine. At the same time, they ignore the fact that a significant portion of the refugees is in Russia.....

Ukrainian forces continue their massive provocations. There were several artillery barrages near village Shirokino today. OCSE convoy came under fire in one case, in the other a film crew of the Russian REN TV channel.

MOSCOW, March 24. /TASS/. A group of observers of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and Russian journalists have come under fire near the village of Shirokino in eastern Ukraine, the defense ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk republic reported Tuesday.

"When the OSCE joint monitoring mission was moving in the inhabited locality of Shirokino to control the regime of ceasefire, the convoy came under fire from the Ukrainian armed forces," the Donetsk news agency quoted an army spokesman as saying.

"A group of Russian journalists also came under fire," the agency said.

DPR militia leader: US already supplying lethal weapons to Ukraine

KIEV, March 24. /TASS/. The United States is already supplying weapons to the Ukrainian armed forces, the head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, has said.

"The United States is already supplying weapons there. For instance, in Debaltsevo we saw US ammunition. That’s a lethal weapon," he told a news briefing. "NATO planes land at the airports of Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia and Kharkiv every day."

Obama's War on Russia
by Stephen Lendman

http://www.thepeoplesvoice.org/TPV3/Voices.php/2015/03/23/obama-s-war-on-russia#more36508

Quote
Obama's lunatic neocon infested administration declared war on Russia. Its lawless Ukraine policy alone shows it.

It's raging politically through vicious propaganda, economically through illegal sanctions, and militarily by US-dominated NATO's relentless push east.

It's surrounding Russia with menacing bases. They risk sparks able to ignite conflict. Lunatics making policy in Washington may start WW III. It's no exaggeration calling today the most perilous time in world history. Global peace hangs by a thread. Things ominously resemble events preceding WW I and II.

Others wiser than this writer explained those ignoring the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them.

America does it one reckless war of aggression after another - permanent ones against invented enemies wrecking any chance for world peace.

It's anathema in Washington. Living by the sword is official state policy. So is eliminating all sovereign independent governments - especially major rivals China and Russia.

Controlling Ukraine is a stepping-stone toward bigger fish to fry. US-dominated NATO heads toward direct involvement in its conflict.

...

Russian lower house State Duma National Liberation Movement leader Evgeny Fedorov believes Washington instituted coup d'etat tactics.

"Let's be honest," he said. "Americans have made the first strike. They began the state coup" against Russia.

"The war has begun. The state coup has begun. There is no turning back. It is impossible to end the war after starting it."

It's been ongoing for years - throughout Putin's tenure and when Medvedev was president.

It began before Soviet Russia dissolved. It continues recklessly. It could explode in open warfare.

"War has its own laws," said Fedorov. "(W)e know how it will unfold…because this road has been taken a thousand times in our and world history."

...

Meanwhile in Donetsk, Ukrainian shellings are every increasing in frequency. In today's report from Peski in DNR it was said that one shell was of 155mm calibre, used by NATO (Soviet-type munition is 152mm) - the fact was reported to OCSE observers.
Firearm and sniper shooting are continuous and the DNR forces have nothing to respond with as they pulled their heavy artillery from the front-line in accordance to Minsk-2.

Sevastopol opens Catherine II monument despite ban by authorities
Jun 15, 2008

Catherine made Russia the dominant power in south-eastern Europe after her first Russo-Turkish War against the Ottoman Empire (1768–1774), which saw some of the greatest defeats in Turkish history, including the Battle of Chesma (5 July – 7 July 1770) and the Battle of Kagul (21 July 1770). The Russian victories allowed Catherine's government to obtain access to the Black Sea and to incorporate the vast steppes of present-day southern Ukraine, where the Russians founded the new cities of Odessa, Nikolayev, Yekaterinoslav, and Kherson.

Catherine annexed the Crimea in 1783, a mere nine years after the Crimean Khanate had gained independence from the Ottoman Empire as a result of her first war against the Turks. The Ottomans started a second Russo-Turkish War (1787–1792) during Catherine's reign. This war proved catastrophic for the Ottomans and ended with the Treaty of Jassy (1792), which legitimized the Russian claim to Crimea.

Russia Rebounds, Despite Sanctions

March 22, 2015

By Matthew A. Winkler for ==>>Bloomberg<<== (yes, Bloomberg not the Kremlin’s press office!)

Sanctions meant to punish Russia for snatching Crimea from Ukraine one year ago were supposed to hurt Russian business. And they did. Russian stocks, bonds and commodities had the worst performance in 2014 of those in any emerging market.

That was then. Now the picture is changing, with investors starting to favor Russia in 2015. The ruble, which became the world’s most volatile currency last year after President Vladimir Putin’s land grab, is stabilizing. The swings in its value narrowed this year more than any of the other 30 most-traded currencies....

I was gong to post about this Bloomberg publication, but you beat me to it. Smiley
This was expected. Destabilise a market, panic everyone and make them sell, buy low, profit. We see it in BTC trading all the time. I was buying Russian stock through equity funds when the turbulence was at the worst. Cheesy

On to more sombre news. It seems Kiev decided to go for an offensive. Donetsk and Gorlovka was shelled at 40 times last 24 hours, with 4 republican soldiers killed ion the attacks. Because the Donetsk republican army observed Minsk-2 agreement and puilled its own artilelry, they had nothing to respond with to these acts of aggression.

There are signs for a full-out mafia war breaking out in the centre of Kiev now between "oligarch" (read: bandit) Kolomojskij and another "oligarch" (read: bandit) Poroshenko. Kolomojskij's private punisher battalion "Dnepr-1" is in Kiev with armoured vehicles. It's all about who is going to control "Ukrnafta" gas and oil company.

NATO doing yet more provocations on Russia's border, while calling Russia "aggressive"

http://rt.com/news/242777-nato-russia-military-drills/

From the article:

Ha! Typical hypocrisy.

Georgia is next - with NATO trying to unravel the peace agreement there as well as in Ukraine.
http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2015/03/20/russia-attack-paul-craig-roberts-2/

On March 18 the Secretary General of NATO denounced the peace settlement between Russia and Georgia that ended Georgia’s military assault on South Ossetia. The NATO Secretary General said that NATO rejects the settlement because it “hampers ongoing efforts by the international community to strengthen security and stability in the region.” Look closely at this statement. It defines the “international community” as Washington’s NATO puppet states, and it defines strengthening security and stability as removing buffers between Russia and Georgia so that Washington can position military bases in Georgia directly on Russia’s border.

And not just Georgia... This article is by far the strongest from Paul Craig Roberts, a desperate call for the last scrapes intelligence from people...

If Saddam Hussein, Gaddafi, Assad, and the Taliban would not fold to Washington’s threats, why do the fools in Washington think Putin, who holds in his hands the largest nuclear arsenal in the world, will fold?

European governments, apparently, are incapable of any thought. Washington has set London and the capitals of every European country, as well as every American city, for destruction by Russian nuclear weapons. The stupid Europeans rush to destroy themselves in service to their Washington master.

Human intelligence has gone missing if after 14 years of US military aggression against eight countries the world does not understand that Washington is lost in arrogance and hubris and imagines itself the ruler of the universe who will tolerate no dissent from its will.

We know that the American, British, and European media are whores well paid to lie for their master. We know that the NATO commander and secretary general, if not the member countries, are lusting for war. We know that the American Dr. Strangeloves in the Pentagon and armaments industry cannot wait to test their ABMs and new weapons systems in which they always place excessive confidence. We know that the prime minister of Britain is a total cipher. But are the chancellor of Germany and the president of France ready for the destruction of their countries and of Europe? If the EU is of such value, why is the very existence of its populations put at risk in order to bow down and accept leadership from an insane Washington whose megalomania will destroy life on earth?

Meanwhile in DNR, three people died from mortar shelling and two from a tripwire mine explosion today.
