Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
Well that is a massive amount of bitcoin that he won and I think before he achieved that amount as a reward for sure he also experiences massive losses.
We have heard different stories of big winnings that happen using crypto and I think this will help to spread the awareness of cryptocurrency and bitcoin and perhaps many gamblers will also be inspired to hear the winning of Drake that has been wagered a massive amount.
How lucky he is and I hope there are more gamblers like him who value cryptocurrencies.

This is a good strategy to push crypto gambling to mainstream channels. Thanks to a famous celebrity betting with bitcoin publicly, many popular sites had to promote crypto gambling and Stake even if indirectly.

I don't know where the original idea of Drake sharing his bet on social media came from, but it must be said it was a smart one and the results are evident for anyone who check it on google.

Don't get it personally my friend but I don't understand why do people thanks to celebrities for betting with cryptocurrency publicly. Do you get some shares from that?  Grin

It's not really the share of the winning but if you're a supporter or part of the industry or community you want more people to know about this industry because we can only move forward if many people will use, adopt and invest in Cryptocurrency and promotion of its usage is a big factor, if you understand marketing you should know this.

I think that bet was just to attract other bettors to follow him and I'm sure a lot of them did just like that as sheep effect can be huge sometimes , especially if a superstar promotes it. Personally, I will never follow someone known regarding bets because they can afford to lose and also they're doing for entertaining and maybe for the bookies but wagering with BTC in that amount it's just wow and I'm sure he has a lot of cryptocurrencies if he made that bet.

Overall , it was a great promo for both BTC , Super Bowl and even bookies as well and a bad one of gamblers haha.

Definitely, if he won that huge amount, he maybe had big losses as well. But not many gamblers will show their losses, usually, they only post when they win big. It is true that it can attract more bettors especially to the bookie that he used. But as a gambler, don't chase what Drake's got, because not many can follow such luck and also he can very well afford to bet big because he has that amount to begin with. So even if he lost the bet, it maybe nothing for him but for regular bettors, it is already their lifetime savings.

I don't care if drake lose or not. let's just hope that a celebrity did bet 1.3 million dollars value in crypto that it will bring good news to all butcoin users. I would see this as a step to promote bitcoin and hope that because of this promotion even if they did do it for purpose ot not could bring many more people to use bitcoin and hope that it could also profit us when the demand increases due to new people that are attracted with the celebrity using crypto. After all, it's drake decision to bet that kind of amount and there's nothing we can do after all we have our own desire like getting double the money you have or for fun or just a gambling addict.
^ If Jake is a crypto lover or a BTC enthusiast, there is a chance that he will keep his winning and hold it for the long term that could also benefit us but do you think he will do that? I think he will spend it or convert it into cash quickly so that he will buy what he needs.
The use of BTC is sometimes misinterpreted by others, it would be good if Jake will hold his BTC and did not sell it and that is will really help in increasing the demand but if not, it will create an impact when he will going to sell.
Whose that Jake you are talking into?  Cheesy
Doesnt matter on how Drake would be converting his coins, whether he would decide to staying up those balance into crypto form or would be converted to fiat. Its his money then its his choice.
Thing here is that we do get some good exposure about gambling with crypto and to those fans then they would really be having that curiosity
which is a good or plus to have.

When celebrities bet with cryptocurrency or use crypto for any purchases publicly, they are promoting it to their audience that is composed by potential bitcoin adopters. That is: people who don't use bitcoin yet, but could eventually start using it, if correctly incentivized by the personalities they follow and respect. And when bitcoin adoption increases, every holders are benefited, since the demand is going to increase together with bitcoin's price. So that is why many crypto enthusiasts are glad for celebrities advertising crypto through online betting on their social medias.

Although not directly benefited by celebrities' bets by receiving shares of their winnings, we are indirectly benefited by increasements in cryptocurrencies' prices.

It was a joke about receiving shares (hope you are not upset about it). Now, I understand its Indirect benefit but they can do this by not only promoting their placed bets but just writing cool facts and advantages of crypto sphere on their twitter or instagram.
It's ok mate, there is no reason to be upset because of a joke. Wink

Well, they could promote facts and advantages of crypto adoption, but I guess it wouldn't have the same impact of inciting the audience's greedy and desire for money. Being honest, that is a much more shocking and noticiable kind of marketing, which is also echoed by gossip and news sites. So, this kind of propaganda spreads much faster and reach further on the internet.

Drake will surely can manage the loss and I don't think it was just purely a bet on his side, there's a different story I guess on why he did that. Maybe to advertise the casino as well or that's not all his money at all in the first place, there are some evidence that he's with Stake after all for advertisements.
Are you saying Stake endorse Drake? Or what did you mean by Drake is with Stake after all for advertisement? I wish to know more about this. Or may be you mean that it can be an agenda not disposed to the public so that people can know Stake as a gambling platform that is providing deposit and withdrawal service in crypto. I guess this later will be what it is, as for me, $1.3 million is too much for gambling but can be a means to advertise.
I would guess that if it was a paid advertisement, it wouldn't be this subtle. It would probably be shared from his main instagram account and he would do a shoutout to Stake in a text form with hashtags and all of that. It is clear to me that he just found Stake because it is one of the biggest crypto casinos in the world.

If you are searching "crypto sportsbook" or "crypto casino" on google, you can see there are thousands of posts talking about how stake is one of the top ones and that is where Drake probably found it. Maybe they talked with stake on if he could do that and he wanted to make sure, but he probably doesn't get any money in return aside from his bet winnings.

That's how influence of a celebrity works well in terms of promoting products of games while they are also all in in that game. I guess this is where sometimes they can cover their losses from their failed betting but I think this should atill considered as losses because instead that their talent fee by promoting the site was been set as a principal amount for their betting rather than take it home and use it for other means. However, this is just all my speculations, I'm still glad that bitcoin today was being endorsed by celebrities.
We dont know if there are behind negotiations in between stake and drake about this promotion neither he do have some fee or totally just his will on making out some flexing on his bet
but was not intentionally making out some promotion or exposure.
If Drake does get some sort of fee then it was just a bonus but just like on what others been saying that this is a win-win situation yet it does give out
that kind of promotion not only for stake but in overall bitcoin/crypto's existence.

I think the same, for regular people like us such a huge mount of money would be a tragedy to lose no matter how it happened, but for someone as famous as him this is not a problem as he can recover that money relatively quickly, not only that if we consider the publicity that he got out of all of this we could even say that he already got what he wanted as people were talking about him during that weekend and as such he got good publicity out of all of this.

I don't understand why we should care about these whales betting a big amount.

Advertisement purposes or not, we do have our own mind to know what's our capability.

Let's just enjoy the fun watching these personalities doing crazy bets we can't obviously afford.

Fortunately, Drake wins and bag big profits. I also believed, same as you, that he doesn't own all of those bets. What I mean, it's like a corporation bet or I'm not sure if my term is right where there are few people who like to ride on the same bet.

It's clear that it's part of a promotion and I like the status of Stake being now more popular. The same action is also done by other gambling sites.

That's a negative thing, just because he is gambling millions doesn't mean he would go broke, what if the guy is winning? and what if the guy can afford the amount he is gambling? I know Mayweather is also gambling million of dollars, but look where he is now, he still financially free and been making money from his boxing promotions.
There are many of these celebrities that are losing millions in gambling and with just a few bets, they can recover those millions of losses.

And if they are not able to recover from their losses through gambling, they can just simply recover it through their contracts and projects that would be easy for them.

Which will make them millions again and the cycle goes on. But AFAIK with Drake, this guy is invested with many things.

No need to know the exact answer but rather, you can create speculation for that since it's not a big deal after all.

The Stake platform is already known as a crypto-betting site. With Drake being involved, it might push more awareness about the platform.

Up to you if you want to consider other things as "fishy".
