Is this is paid publicity? I'm just curious, but regardless, I still like the fact that a celebrity is not afraid of risking huge money using a crypto sportsbook. Stake is already popular in the crypto space, but with this publicity, for sure they will be more popular, and it will not end there as the whole crypto gambling world will benefit from this kind of publicity.

I am also interested in this and especially wonder how much such PR costs. But most likely the details (if this is PR and not a regular bet) we will not know soon. I think that like all major bookmakers, Stake has a VIP program to attract celebrities and there are many different bonuses for such actions as "show your bet on social networks". Therefore, most likely this is a real bet, but he received some bonuses for his activity.

but the thing that I fear the most is the mainstream media blotting this news out because they don't like crypto in it or maybe they might spin it around and make people think that crypto is a bad influence as it's used for gambling.

Fiat is use for gambling too as well as purchasing illegal items and widely use for bribes of politician because of its value. I don't why
Cryptocurrency used in gambling will gonna give negative impact on crypto image in general while fiat widely used same like this. If there's a demand for using it then it will be good promotion in general. There will be some minor negative effect since we have different perspectives but the good thing showing in news was you can use and trust crypto even in huge amount gambling.

Could be half. There's no possibility they will leak how much Stake offered Drake so that he won't be spending that much. Maybe half will be shouldered by Stake if it loses and the other will be Drake's risk which is okay because he is a fan. That may have included the payment for hyping it up.  Grin
If he wins, he takes it all. That's just a little money for a big advertisement and a long term business pump on the upcoming sports events. Stake.com did well on this one and I am sure it will be fruitful long term.
Yeah, things were well executed. But I don't know why they choose such a tactical betting options. Choosing the odds on match winning is quite Ok. Further he had made bets on Odell Beckham Jr touch down anytime and the next one receiving 62.5 yards. However they managed to give a win, but it indirectly means the payment for Stake's promotion.

We don't know this is something planned and executed one or happened without any plans, but I find Drake to be so courageous in spending. Also I'm not cent percent sure that it is planned, because he have already spend big on sports betting.

Well, it did paid off and Drake made a fortune betting on Rams with that much money. This will definitely be a big advertisement for crypto use but the thing that I fear the most is the mainstream media blotting this news out because they don't like crypto in it or maybe they might spin it around and make people think that crypto is a bad influence as it's used for gambling.

Just like that, Drake made a millions as he bet on Rams. I wonder if he only bet on Stake and not with the other site. Also, congrats to those who place their bet, I was able place mine and now I’m happy with the result. Looking forward for the next Million bet of Drake, maybe in NBA next.
Since he was a richer person now, it can be possible that he would bet on other gambling sites to see a chance to win again. Or as a host at Stake, he still uses Stake as a medium for betting and does not move to other sites.

So you're also placing a bet with him? If so, I congratulate you on winning and hope that you can enjoy your winnings.

Maybe I'll take a gamble with Drake too and who knows, I'll also be one of the lucky ones to get a win.

This is great for publicity for cryptocurrencies and since he has lost of money in the past I hope he wins this big bet he has made. When a public figure,a celebrity talks about Bitcoin in any way surely that is something to at least spark some interests from the people who follow him.The more of such persons the better for Bitcoin even though they are making publicity to Bitcoin in gambling which is not seen with a good eye from many people for me as long as it is talked about Bitcoin is a victory for Bitcoin no matter what circumnstances.

Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general are truly a blessing to the entire world of finance which include the gambling sector, bitcoin has made a lot of things which include moving money around more easier than it used to be, and to make it even more exciting, it's comes with good anonymity.
So when I see celebrities promoting bitcoin, I am not entirely surprised, bitcoin has brought alot of freedom to the entertainment world, now celebrities can join or participate in stuffs which ordinary people do and no one will know its them, except they choose to show it like as it is now in the case of Drake.
Thumbs up to him though, did anyone know if he won the bet or not?

I'm looking at the bet slip and it show that his bet is on Beckham to run he'd run 62.5 receiving yards.

Did Beckham got 62.5 receiving yards?

But yeah if he bet straight up with the Rams, he won his bet.

And then Beckham scoring a touchdown as well. So it's a big win for Drake, but need someone to confirm his bet on the receiving yards for Odell.
He has placed three bets. One is on the winning. He won the bet as Rams won the match. The next one is the Odell Beckham Jr over 62.5 receiving yards, and this is a lost bet. The last one is the Odell Beckham anytime touch down, which is a win for him.

Drake Supports Stake.com than Sportsbet  Grin
This does not mean anything, both gambling sites have campaign on this forum and both are reputable, he can choose anyone he likes, even he can decide to choose other gambling sites that have campaign on this forum, that is what I will be most happy about, but not 1xbit which is a scam gambling site.

Yet it is still important as it shows Celebrities Using stake in open than Sportsbet , but of course I don't compare them both as they are truly trustworthy and well known for their attitude towards players from this forum and out.

And thanks for mentioning the last gambling site in which really not worth a trust and will only take that big amount if being wagered  in their site .

holy crap Stake managed to get Drake for a Super Bowl ad, that must've been an expensive deal  Shocked  when was the last time that a mega high profile celebrity (unrelated to sports) promoted a crypto sportsbook on his personal ig a day before one of the most watched sporting events in the world? mental... and he posted several pics too, repetition is key in marketing. As for the bets, i'm also on the Rams bandwagon (:

I think it wasn't his first time and I really don't know if Stake had an influence on the post (I wouldn't be surprised if they do though). Drake also posted about winning $300k from Roulette about 3 weeks ago, If I'm not mistaken it was on stake as well.
This doesnt only talks about Sportsbetting on Stake but also on Roulletes too which do end up on having that cap of $20k..
He do made out bets like $200k for a single bet.
https://www.gamblingnews.com/news/new-viral-video-confirms-drake-enjoys-playing-online-roulette/

So he's already known as a heavy gambler even on past gambling activities he's already fond of doing that.

This is a good strategy to push crypto gambling to mainstream channels. Thanks to a famous celebrity betting with bitcoin publicly, many popular sites had to promote crypto gambling and Stake even if indirectly.

I don't know where the original idea of Drake sharing his bet on social media came from, but it must be said it was a smart one and the results are evident for anyone who check it on google.

Well it is certainly a way to increase popularity among the wider audience, it could also be a big contra when it comes to regulators. Not that I am saying it would make sense if the regulators used it as a reason against cryptocurrencies in general, but we all know how they are going to argue against crypto. And gambling might be one reason they are going to lead into the field against cryptocurrencies or at least for harsh regulation. Whatever though, I guess wagering $1.3 million doesn't even mean that much for Drake. Wink

yeah, it could be that he just loves to bet for his favorite team. but seeing how high rollers gamble on gambling sites, I don't think him betting that much money equals being "too confident on who is going to win", for all we know that is how he normally bet on sports betting.

Drake has a history of betting huge amounts of money and he is also losing a lot of bets in the past, it's pretty normal for him, we all know that excessive gambling can become a downfall of these celebrities who are very much into gambling, the income can stop but their addiction to betting will not, he can still sustain it because he can still make a lot of money but if he is not a celebrity crowd drawer no more he'll regret all the money he loses from gambling.

I also believe that he may have won that amount, but of course, he will not post his losses.
I don't think stake has something to do with his post, if he is a regular player on the site, sometimes it is just normal for them to post something like that.
But if stake knows about Drake being their regular patron, they may reach him for potential collaboration. Who knows?
Other celebrities who are into gambling may follow where he is betting, as they are now confident that stake can handle such amount.

It's been a big trend on social media since the Canadian shared his bet slips containing how much he staked on the super bowl in bitcoin. And how much he will receive in bitcoin if the Rams defeat the Cincinnati Bengals in Los Angeles, which is about $2.29 million in bitcoin.
The bet slip shows that he placed a bet in CAD and not with any cryptocurrencies, you can do that with stake where you are able to deposit with CAD or BRL using your bank account and it is going to be a huge advertisement for stake and not for Bitcoin as a whole. The entire cryptocurrency related sites will get a boosted advertisement as more people will jump in if they see that you can wage without much limit.

But, what matters is how more celebrities with big fan Bases promote bitcoin. It's such a better way of increasing the usage of bitcoin in Betting Firms.
Yup, it's not just all about the win that he had shared and as well as the exposure for bitcoin betting but it's the actual exposure for the cryptocurrencies, for bitcoin mainly. If these celebrities would always share something related to cryptocurrencies and most likely about bitcoin. More people are going to encourage and believe that there's nothing with bitcoin and it's just the same with fiat that we've been using in our day to day living which is a positive occurrence.
