Its much better to get listed on a small exchange with zero volume, then on a scammy exchange with fake volume and 2 btc listing fee.

If possible to relist on altilly as fuzzybear mentions, that would be a good option. And there are a lot of small exchanges that would be very reasonable.

Stellar trading (especially now that it has an ETH pairing - who did that?) is not to be underestimated. Smiley

Dan, is there a way to deposit and withdraw DVCs in the interstellar? Unfortunately, I've been looking everywhere and I had no luck, yet.  Undecided

A representative from WhiteBIT is offering a flexible cooperation in order to help us list Devcoin in their platform.

This is the concrete offer in their own language:

If the problem with the budget.

What are you current budgets? Maybe we can work according it right now.

And after we will be able to reach our goals we can increase your budget and marketing activities

I asked them to kindly provide us with some numbers so that we can have an idea of budget. Gathering funds for the minimum budget would be a goal. Btw, I'm still very cautious about listing Devcoin on third party exchanges, since we had way too much bad experiences in the past.

For the reasons above, I ask for your help, all information about WhiteBIT that you can contribute here will be greatly appreciated.

Go go Devcoin!

I'll do some reading into this exchange. I've never heard of them before now but with so many exchanges popping up, that doesn't really mean much. I'm looking forward to seeing how much they want in terms of budget, as I think that will help make a more informed decision (a lot of their coins are very low volume right now).

We have got an specific proposal from WhiteBIT, for a budget of 2 BTC:

Quote
From Eugene | WhiteBIT.com:

TRADING PAIRS & LIQUIDITY:
⁃ 3 trading pairs of choice
   Crypto: BTC, ETH
   Stable: USDT, TUSD, USDC, PAX
   Fiat: USD, EUR, RUB, UAH
⁃ Zero-fee accounts for 3-months

MARKETING & PR
- Announcements on our social media;
- Targeted email campaign (for the entire duration of the marketing activities);
- Banner on the main page (14 days);
- Remarketing for 1,5 million unique users;
Upon Request:
- Digital Marketing in Cointelegraph, Forbes, Bloomberg, CoinDesk, Hackernoon, Investing.com, etc;
- Separate full articles and brand mentions in Media (bitcoin.news, themerkle.com, etc);

ACTIVITIES:
-Lower fee trading for the community (for 2 weeks after the listing);
- SMART Staking plan (https://whitebit.com/smart-staking);
- AMA-session in WhiteBIT’s telegram community;
- Trading competition on whitebit.com;

SUPPORT & CONSULTANCY:
- Personal account manager for you;
- 24/7 Support for your community;
- Listing on Tier 1 and Tier 2 exchanges.

The listing fee for all the above-mentioned services is 2 BTC.

Go go Devcoin!

- develCuy

A couple things off the top of my head:

1) What are these "zero-fee" accounts? Are they saying new accounts will pay no fees for 3 months or that there are no trading fees with DVC for 3 months?

2) Marketing for "1.5 million unique users": I just don't see their volume showing they have nearly this many users.

3) Their "smart staking" plan makes me worry about their viability. They're "guaranteeing" things like 18% interest on USDT for locking it for 180 days... with a max of 100k per account.

As a good Bitcointalk citizen, I would like to help this project to become alive and be on track and bring back it's glorious day in the market. This kind of project needs our support because nowadays a good project is very rare to find.

But it was delisted from altilly with the reason that there was little to no trade volume...

Was that really the case?

The ltc/dvc pair were pretty active compared to most coins listed on altilly. I am pretty sure devcoin had more volume then most of their coins when it got delisted without warnings.

Just look at the exchange now. 23 of 29 ltc pairs have 0 trades last 24h. 94 of the btc pairs have 0 trades last 24h.

That was me. Smiley I bought a lot at a great price (in LTC) compared to BTC (1 satoshi) offerings.

I bought more than you.  Just saying, being number is what counts.   Grin

But yeah, no reason to delist it given it has pretty regular volume.

They said that it's usually more than lack of volume, but they didn't want to disclose it publicly. As far as I know they said they'd speak only with CEO or lead dev with regards to (de)listing.
But I don't know if anybody actually spoke with them after they made that clarification? Maybe @FuzzyBear exchanged some private messages with them?

Nope I had no PM contact with them re delisting, when i asked every time i was told it was through lack of volume, but agreed I thought it was a little strange as yes trade volume on ltc pair seemed higher than others...

Actually i'll start with this link to previous post: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.29680751 (2018) topic of exchanges was discussed and a lot of work was put in back then so worth bringing those learning points up.

So Devcoin is currently listed on FreiExchange here: https://freiexchange.com/market/DVC/BTC

and it was listed with BTC, LTC, USDT and a whole host of other coins on https://www.altilly.com/

But it was delisted from altilly with the reason that there was little to no trade volume. Should not be much work for them to add the coin back but would probably need to chat with the exchange owners to make this happen. They do now have a listing fee also, in the past I got dvc added for free as they were early starting exchange.

With this experience it is only worth an exchange listing dvc if there is any volume.. that means buying as well as selling dvc... and consistently, not just one or two trades and then nothing for weeks and months. The fact that dvc on altilly had pairing with ltc and others and that their exchange is open to trade in fractions of a satoshi against the coin means that as dvc is pegged at 0.00000001 on FRC with over 0.6 btc needed to buy up all the cheapest dvc just to start a buy side support, we need a listing like altilly and not like freiexchange.

The fact that dvc had a listing on altilly and lost it through lack of trading volume was and is so disappointing but in truth probably reflects the market for dvc, very few want to buy it even at such low prices and very few looking to offload any real large amounts unless the price goes up...

Any of those mentioned exchanges that have a listing fee over 0.5btc you can forget about for now as simply where are you getting these funds from? We tried to rally or see if the community would donate but it a lot to ask and no one came forward last time.

Also is this the best use of the BTC to list on an exchange when dvc was listed and has been de-listed what is stopping it being delisted and then that btc is gone and wasted. Might be better to use that btc to rally the current price listing on freiexchange.

I have been here before, and found te best way to get listed is to find a small exchange that is starting up and get dvc listed for free like on altilly after speaking with the people that run it. This is a much better way to get listed and cost nothing as they looking to try adding new coins but you run the risk as the exchange is new and possible scam etc so you have to do the leg work and get to know the people running the exchange and open a dialog up with them.

If I could list devcoin on a new exchange I would choose TradeOgre. No kyc. Ltc and btc markets. Look at Coin Listing at the bottom of the page to fill out application.

Just to have definitions documented somewhere and for later reference:

1. Devcoin token: An asset issued by @knotwork on the Stellar platform: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.35842820
2. Devcoin coin: The original Devcoin, fork of Bitcoin with own blockchain and wallet
3. Devcoin tokens are backed 1:1 by Devcoin coins: https://peakd.com/devcoin/@satoshi0x/how-to-buy-sell-dvc-using-stellar
4. "Burning" coins (note the quotes), as inherited from Bitcoin, there is no way to really burn Devcoin coins, there are only workarounds: https://medium.com/@alcio/how-to-destroy-bitcoins-255bb6f2142e
5. Strategy for releasing Devcoin tokens:
Asset scarcity. Devcoin has already released a huge amount of coins that we can hardly control scarcity at this point. For that reason it is good to create a new asset like the coins, that we can manage better with all the hard learned lessons that came failure after failure. In short, I stay with the idea of releasing new Devcoin tokens bit by bit, rather than releasing millions of them at once or letting things in auto-mode.
