Again, not complaining as I am getting paid, just checking on if maybe I am getting round 27 counted 2x instead of my round 28 work.

I just copied and pasted my words, I didn't even count ALL of them yet, and I'm at 50,125 for round 28 and I only got 32 counted, then that got cut in half...

If you want to copy and paste to see yourself, here:

So I only got 17,000 words counted? How is this possible? Is there a negator or just a multiplier?

I wrote at least 50,000 words... and got this
FinShaggy,1Cz5aivRFToakTozfch7iZXSY2YBwd9qQZ,17-Word Count(http://devtome.com/doku.php?id=wiki:user:FinShaggy)

And I was writing stuff that is at least good enough to be college essays. Many people think that I am writing these for school (I've been sharing pieces on other places to get people excited about my book), but I am just doing it to write a book.

I am not complaining, just wondering if this is right.

Your base payout was 32. Multiplier was 0.534xxxx. This brought you to 17.

For clarification, you have 121,453 words. Your cumulative payout was 89. This is what led to 32.

32? Where is 32?

And does this mean I wrote 121,000 words and NONE of it is carrying over to next round? And I get paid 17 shares for all of it?

I'm really confused.

121,453 rounds down to 121,000. This is 121 shares. You've already been paid for 89 of those shares. 121 - 89 = 32 unpaid. Your multiplier was 0.534x. 0.534*32 = 17. Therefore you have 17 shares.

In other words, in the last round you wrote a total of 32,000-32,999 words.

Ok, that makes more sense. But I'm still confused about 2 things.
1 I'm pretty positive I wrote over 50,000 words this round
2 how I wrote multiple articles that get praise outside this site, but aren't worth their weight in Devcoins.

It's not a big deal, I've got enough words now to go earn money on Amazon soon, but I just don't think it makes much sense.

I'm still going to write here, as it is the only coin besides bitcoin that I believe in, but this really bums me out.

Especially since I think I wrote more than 50,000 words. I'm google word counting now.

Where can the multiplier be viewed?

Unthinkingbit linked the multipliers yesterday. Everything you need is right here:

I'm not sure but does CoinBucks count towards the three share bounty for non-mining businesses?  If yes I will make a formal post so that Unthinkingbit can add it to the bounty list.

I didn't see a post about someone buying CoinBucks. If or when there is, then post that they got the 3 share bounty, and that the poster gets the 2 share bounty.

My devtome user: mrc is not present in any list from github (csv or py).
Have I done something wrong?

Thanks for catching that, I forgot to add you to the list. I ran devtome manually for you, added you to the devtome 28 list, updated the devtome earnings post, and sent you 23 devcoins to test the address.

Minimum Effort/Maximum effect
About Devtome I think it would be a good idea to add a polling system and a forum into the site so we can all congregate there.

A polling system with historical data can be very useful to  funnel all ideas and suggestions into a listable stack, with ratings on ideas to move them up or down the priority list. We are a little disorganized at the moment it is good to have a forum of our own to develop a concensus to build these ideas.

On the devtome site it would be good for people to create some movement within the devcoin community to rate works, authors, groups more fairly is to pay to rate.  If you like their work you give them 100 if not 1 devcoin maybe more for the author who created a great series of works.

This way we promote and encourage the community to continue writing, it also makes it easy to find constructive comments, if it is only 1 Devcoin consider it, but read the ones with more given. The amount given would be listed on Devtome; The total given to particular works and to authors and groups but the Devcoins would go to the address provided by the author or authors.

It would even be nice to attach bounties to the ideas and suggestions given, maybe a scripted transaction that accepts coins for a bounty signalling to others the importance of the project besides the rating system for polling, it may be important but how much will it take to incentivise someone to do it? If the bounty is met it gets released to the winner(s).
