Does anyone want a newer DVC client?  Would it be possible to fork the bitcoin-qt 0.8.5 code and then copy over the receiver files?

We should base on the latest I0Coin code, because sooner or later we will run out of RAM unless we adopt the special measured the latest I0Coin showcases that put the "proof of merged mining" data on disk instead of eating up RAM like crazy for it.

The account file is at:
http://galaxies.mygamesonline.org/account_27.csv

There were 646 original receiver lines, so the average number of devcoins per share is 180,000,000 dvc / 646 = 278,638 dvc. Administrator pay is 84.0 shares, 13.0 percent of the total. The value at vircurex is 0.375 mcbtc/dvc, which works out to 0.104 btc. The bitstamp price of 128$, gives a share price of 13$.

People on that list will start getting those coins in round 27, starting at block 108,000. The procedure for generating the receiver files is at:
http://devtome.com/doku.php?id=devcoin#generating_the_files

The next bounties will go into round 28:

I published 50000 words on Devtome yesterday, I can't see myself on the round 27 or 28 list, should I be on one of those?   My username on Devtome is matt608 too (this is my first use of Devtome).  Just curious to make sure I'm in the system! Smiley

Do we need to do this, or is this only for certain people.

I am not qualified to answer this but I will anyways.

No you do not need to generate the receiver files. My guess is that Unthinkingbit includes that bit of info in his post as a a convenience slash reference to anyone interested in how generating the receiver files works.

Got a pool online. dvc.crypto-expert.com im currently mining on it

GetWork Only. 0 fees until i patch the devcoin daemon to support GBT as i cant find one out there. The fee will be 1% after my 1 week promotional period(1 week after i have stratum running on the pool) . id like to claim the bounty for it if possible.

EDIT: once i get stratum and a good enough hashrate would you guys be interested in PPS?

What is the total bitcoin revenue? What portion of that has been converted to devcoin and sent to the miners or developers on the share lists?

There are already several pools which merge mine devcoins. The point of the bounty is to make a pool popular enough to pay out at least 1 BTC worth of devcoins to miners or developers:
http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=devcoin_bounty_now#pool

To clear up some confusion, "The devcoins can be from merged mining and/or from earnings converted to devcoin". In other words you do not have to merge mine them, although that will make it easier to get part of the devcoins which have to be sent out.

Is there a way I can log into google analytics an look at the traffic to Devtome over the past several months?  I'm interested in seeing where it comes from, which keywords are sending search traffic to figure out what needs doing in terms of SEO and marketing to get more.  I'm now a devtome writer and have been employed to do SEO work before (search engine optimization) so I can be of assistance here.

Right now only three people have access to the analytics information. I only give access to devcoin admins who have a need to know it. Notabot is one, because he writes up the latest information to the devtome page at:
http://devtome.com/doku.php?id=devtome_analytics

if there is any extra information you want him to put on devtome, you can ask him. Otherwise, to access it directly you'd have to become an admin.

Cheers

I can't personally help with that.

But just looked at walking up right. I'll read it sometime, but I looked at the pictures, lol. Looks like it was a cool adventure.

It was a life changing experience, and a lot of fun too!  Is there anyone who can let me into google analytics?

I think it could be the case to:

- use 2/3 of every round rewards for development only: every project should be rewarded according to an agreement: e.g. the almoner will ask to make an offer to build a website, publicising the "contest". Once it is decided the provider of the service, a time of delivery will be established, if accomplished on time, the payment will be delivered.
- use 1/3 of every round to give dvc according to the number of words and the esposition of every article: a banner will be placed on every article, the reward will be used to increase the payment of the writers: the collected bitcoins on advertise will be used to buy back devcoin, creating an higher demand of dvc, increasing the value of dvc.

 Grin

#1 sounds like bounties

#2 sounds like Devcoin advertising and I think we have it already, the Bitcoin PR Buzz banner.

Hmm yeah appears to be something up, checking on it now.

I hope all our posts didn't disappear. If you look at the cached version it looks like it goes back like 2 weeks.
