I really, really look forward to the EFL Carabao Cup today. Every time Wolves and Newcastle, for instance, are playing, I watch them. And can they play into the next round or not? Always amazing how different those clubs are. How to deal with these knockout games? Especially at the beginning of the season I believe there is that "excitement" from competition. It will be interesting to know who the surprises among the losers could be. And of course, hopefully the football will be exciting, and we will have good results for the third round of the draw.

Some Premier League coaches are already passing through a terrible time trying to cope with the damage that the international break did to some of their players and also ensure adequate team rotation, but it has been a struggle to find the balance. These new competition kicking off will surely affect that balance that these managers have fought so hard to try to achieve in the team.

It will be a crucial moment to see how they handle team change and player condition. I really wish they maintain this trend while providing quality clubs with a chance to bring out the best in some of them. These games will be very interesting as the season unwinds, and one sees how the team adapted to the challenges that lay ahead.
