Evil beware: We have waffles!
It is still unclear to me:
Can I use a wallet that starts with a 3? It was generated by Electrum.
This is a multisig address, correct?
I can't see why you couldn't mine to it, but it seems a bit of extra effort for a pool payout. I don't run Eligius, so don't take this as a definitive answer. I never tried to mine to a multisig address Cheesy
I am not sure if it is a multisig wallet.. I am not entirely sure what that means haha. But from what i've googled, I don't think it is a multi signature wallet...
As the name implies a multisig wallet requires 2 or more people to login and access it to approve transactions. Geared for Businesses when you do not want to allow just 1 person to have access to all of the money.

Electrum is capable of being a multisig wallet, and if your address starts with 3, you've made a multisig address. I'd advise you to make a new address, being sure it's NOT multisig, because if you don't know how to sign it, any coins that go to it are lost. Non multisig addresses begin with 1, testnet with 2, and P2SH/Multisig with 3. I can't recall the exact place in electrum settings, but it's well documented. Try to make a regular address before you mine Cheesy

The only one that I used, and loved IT!

Very easy to set up and stuff... Although I haven't used other pools.

Is there a way to get a notification when we actually hit a block? Like a website that will do an alert?

Pool pays 100% of mined rewards, including tx fees, to miners.

i used to mine eligius back in 2013-2015, but fell out of ASIC mining after the S5. at that time, i was getting payouts every 5-10 days.

A buddy was setting up a miner and wanted a pool last month. since nicehash was hacked the day before, i suggested eligius and helped him setup stratum using a segiwt '3...." address. after 3 weeks no payments, and i cant check the stats page

If its just a long time between payoutrs these days thats okay, but i dont want to have my hashes 'donated' if segwit wallet addresses are not considered valid for payout - and i cant find info on if thats the case or not within eligius FAQ

asking this again, since i saw whizkid reply to a few comments but missed my question.

If the mining began after the switch to the Eligius-Hu setup, and it's a valid address, it will be paid when the balance reaches the minimum threshold.

Eligius's pool-wide hash rate is relatively low (couple of petahash) and we've found one block in the past six months or so. Payouts can only happen when we find blocks.

Many thanks for the reply!
I will post this in this forum, to get Eligius on the + side of keeping tx fees.
So that miners, who are looking for a pool can make the right deciision and not just
choose Antpool or others, wich will keep tx fees for themselfs.

Hey wizkid057,
the fees for a block are getting high these days.
Will you pay out these fees or hold them for yourself?
So dear  miners at Eligius...
These question I ask to wizkid057 is importent to ALL Miners ac Eligius!
Will wizkid057 hold back block fees YES or nOT!
It's simple.
Please follow wizkid057 and his reply...

I'm not sure I understand your question, but I think you're asking if Eligius keeps transaction fees.

If so, the answer is no. The pool pays out the block reward and all transaction fees. If you're mining here, you should consider donating. It's been among the most honest pools in existence for a long time, and Wizkid don't get the credit or BTC that he deserves.

I haven't got a NMC address on Eligius maybe I have a "huge" amount saved NMC since 06/2014  Wink

My first NMC payment from Eligius was in 2013. I have always converted mine to BTC, 0.275btc so far.

how to track NMC revenues?
how are payments made?
Tell me please

From topic first page:

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How are NMC payouts done? Are there any NMC stats?
A. NMC payouts are done infrequently as time allows at the discretion of the pool operator.  Minimum payout is 0.1 NMC.  There are no stats for NMC.  Since NMC has been suffering a slow death, I'm not inclined to waste resources on coding for NMC stats.

Q. How much is 105% NMC PPS?
A. For every accepted share you submit to the pool you are rewarded (50/current_namecoin_difficulty)*1.05*work_difficulty NMC, where current_namecoin_difficulty is, obviously, the current namecoin block difficulty and work_difficulty is the difficulty of the work your miner is doing for Eligius (generally 4, 8, 16, 32, etc, depending on your hash rate).

Q. How do I set a payout address for NMC (or other configuration options)?
A. You use the My Eligius Control Panel to set your options.  You must use a bitcoin client or wallet provider capable of signing messages with the address you use as your Eligius username.  Instructions for doing this with Bitcoin-Qt are available here

Just played around with an old computer and found a balance on my old Eligius account. Anybody got an idea if they will ever be paid out?

I have got payments 3 times at 2017 (after missing stats) so I think  "old computer and found a balance" don't count for a payment.

I have read this topic for a loong time and people allways seems to find old accounts, computers etc. and claim money?

Miner is beeping so something is happening at servers.

"Old computer" means: Bookmark to my old mining account. When I look there at the balance, it is 0.14. So either the displayed balance is wrong, or I am missing something.
