For joining bounty campaign and airdrop project you not available for using your eth address on coinbase because is not support for receiving payment for your campaign joining, better use your erc20 wallet from myetherwallet or metamask. If you keep use coinbase eth wallet you can forget with your payment reward.

Try with trust wallet if you more enjoy and simple using mobile phone. And for desktop i recommended you using metamask. Myetherwallet also good and you can import your wallet to trust wallet or metamask if you want.

To make the work more easier for you I will like to list few decentralized wallet on here, they are more secured and better
1. Coinomi wallet
2. Trust wallet
3. Myether wallet
4. Monarch wallet
5. Exodus wallet
6. Bitpay wallet
7. Copay wallet
8. Atomic wallet

Good luck
So many to pick from. I currently use Trust, Monarch Atomic, Eidoo and Imtoken and no issue with anyone of them. Added advantage of these wallets is that they can store assets from other blockchains apart from Ethereum/ERC20.
nah, I think there are very many mentioned but for now I still use myetherwallet to store all the altercircles I have because I think myetherwallet is still safe for me to use. if you want to use something else it doesn't matter, you just have to be careful when storing your assets.

Hi,
Sorry I am new to the Crypto world.
Trying to find out more details on the ERC20 Wallet Address and how Do I get one.
Is the ERC20 Wallet Address the same as the Etherium wallet address which I can get on coinbase.com?

Thanks

To be honest, since you're still new to the whole thing, i won't advice you to use coinbase wallet as not every erc20 token standard is supported by the exchange which if in any case you transfer a coin not supported, you might end up loosing that coin. And about wanting to know more on Erc20 token standard, a simple Google Search will help. I'll as well suggest atomic wallet for you. The wallet is the most complete one in the whole market as it consist lots of functionalities. Head on to Atomicwallet.io To download the wallet app for your any type of device you are using

For Ethereum address you need to create a wallet. You can use wallet on exchanges, especially when you are new at crypto. But remember, you can´t receive ERC-20 tokens to the wallet on the exchange because in most cases they do not support these tokens. If you would like receive ERC-20 token you need to create a wallet with a private key, especially the best site for it is: MyEtherWallet website. Cool

It seems to me there is nothing more convenient than the metamask extension. An interface that allows you to easily access and create clippings of the ERC-20 format.
In this case, you do not need to remember the password for each wallet, it will be the same for entering the extension. By the way, you can unload the private key of each wallet to create a backup.

You can create an ERC20 wallet on the myetherwallet site because beginners understand more about making a wallet on Myetherwallet because there are many threads that discuss how to create a wallet in the Bitcointalk Forum. If you use a smartphone you can import your private key in the Imtoken application because you can easily monitor it when you make a transaction or if there is a notification when the token is out or the token is in ...hope you can understand.

metamask is fine as a wallet ... beware of fake extensions ... and you must have some eth to receive tokens

A lot of people have truly found themselves using phishing sites of MetaMask. This was possible because they had no one to tell them the real site, to avoid being victims of a scam.
To make that easier, it would have been good you provide the real site, which is below:

Trust wallet is nice and very secure, it supports swapping of cryptocurrency. Imtoken 2.0 is good as long as ERC20 is concerned I have been using it since 2018. While I use Metamask majorly for interacting with DEX to avoid importing my private keys on DEX.

Coinbase.com only supports ETH and a few projects running on the platform, if you are a bounty hunter and you want to store ERC20 tokens then I recommend not using the wallets there because you will lose those tokens. Use Myetherwallet and create an address there, you can store all erc20 tokens

You can use Myetherwallet.com. It's accept ERC20 tokens. Coinbase.com Eth wallet only accept Ethereum or accept erc20 tokens. If you use it then you lose your tokens. You can also use Trust wallet, it's good for newbie.

Use myetherwallet.com instead.

These are the supported coins on Coinbase.

https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/getting-started/general-crypto-education/supported-cryptocurrencies.html

You can also choose to use hardware wallet like Ledger nano s or Ledger nano X, they're better than any other wallet.

Is the ERC20 Wallet Address the same as the Etherium wallet address which I can get on coinbase.com?
Erc20 tokens use Ethereum wallet address but they don't count as Ethereum, they are tokens.

I don't like suggesting myetherwallet to newbies because of my ugly experience with it. Also, it can easily be cloned and the moon's will be phished. I rather suggest the mobile wallets, trust wallet or imtoken which is secure, easy to use and less complicated than MEW
You won't be phishing victims if you have bookmarked the website. That's the only solution to avoid the phishing websites and also with how you browse the internet. If you use search engines wrongly and you are accessing your wallet through it, there's a big chance you'll fall for a phishing site.

That is why I have suggested other wallets too which is the best for me. But for MEW it's where mostly started so that's why I have suggested it, luckily there are other wallets that everyone can use these days but to me MEW is easy to use.

erc20 wallet is the same as ethereum wallet but the ethereum wallet that you get at coinbase.com cannot accept erc20 tokens because in exchange each token will have a different wallet. Do not send any tokens to the address you get at coinbase.com. if you want to store lots of tokens you should use myetherwallet

ERC20 wallet addresses are indeed numerous.
I  wouldn't recommend you coinbase wallet, because it is a centralized wallet and also because not all erc-20 tokens are supported on its platform.

As a newbie, i recommend you imtoken wallet or trust wallet, they are easy and unique in their own way and also have simple ways to protect those accounts.

All you need to do is securely save/backup your 12 seed phrase

Not every Ethereum address can store ERC20 tokens, but every ERC20 address can receive Ethereum!
Wrong, every ETH address can receive ERC20 token but the problem with ETH address from an exchange or custodial wallet is that, they only create the address for ETH. If you send any token, you will not have access to your fund.
An address which is generated from private key or a wallet which you have control over like with passphrase, can only be used for any ERC20 token.
You are right. I agree with your opinion. I support Myetherwallet with metamask connection. It will be more secured and easy to operating system.
