WHAT are we just seeing right now!, PSV is losing against NEC , nobody can expect this outcome, they also alowing 3 goals in one amtch, this is pure result of the international break, we see this so many times, a lot of teams return from the international break with their heads no focused and this kind of things happen all across the leagues.
PSV, who have maintained an unbeaten record of 26 league games this season, ended painfully when the record was broken by a team we didn't expect to do, after the international break, PSV fans who hoped their team could continue the positive trend but had to experience disappointment after NEC Nijmegen beat PSV with a score of 3-1 today,  The defeat to NEC Nijmegen did not affect PSV's position in the table but now they have cut the gap from second-placed Feyenoord to 10 points and with the defeat certainly throw away PSV's dream of being able to win the league this season without defeat Record.

Feyenoord's opportunity to continue to get closer to PSV is now wide open in my opinion, because with many games left, of course, it still provides an opportunity for Feyenoord to continue to press and disrupt PSV in winning trophies this season, Feyenoord's opportunity to further shorten the gap from PSV  can get when tomorrow they will face Fc Ultrecht in week 27 and I think Fc Utrecht is not a strong opponent for Feyenoord later, especially so far Feyenoord has a good winning record when facing Fc Utrecht in the league.

They lost game and it means that PSV won't have Invincibles season as it was their first loss this season. Who could have thought that Nijmegen will be team that ruined PSV perfect record. But as you say, it may be outcome of international break.
It's still not much threat for PSV title, in case of Feyenord win they will still keep 7 points lead. For me it's only sad that they won't be able get such rare achievement - season without a loss, who knows when they will have chance for it next time.

In any case, the fans won't want to remember this season, but are there any plans for next season, perhaps another change of coach?

PSV and Feyenoord will of course not do much during the summer break, apart from selectively strengthening their weak points, unless they sell out of players and coaches.

John van 't Schip actually made a superb start first but now Ajax are back in bad shape again. I won't be surprised at all if we see another change of manager as they have done very often lately. Ajax have nothing left other than the Eredivisie now, right? Then I don't think it matters if they make this change right now or after waiting for the end of the season.  Sad

Ajax lost some really important players after their best season with Erik ten Hag. I wonder if the same thing will happen to especially PSV. They have just totally dominated the whole season here.  Grin

No doubt all fans are looking forward for the end of this terrible season which they never want to remember because now things are going the worst day by day with their decline in quality and consistency hopefully we will have overhaul in next season which bring some positive changes even now most chances things are going to take time for having positive results, but surely they are able to do this all with their available sources.

Now they needed new blood which give them best performance and things came back as they were doing few season backs but is this all possible, or we are going to have another miserable season coming it's all about on their management which is now going to be important for their better future and things came back at the top level while PSV and Feyenoord are going to be dominant teams as they are going to improve quality which is surely going to help them for keeping things at this level.

I think Ajax fans are in the wait for the end of this season, nothing mroe to do, nothing to fight for, nothing to achieve, i think is one of the first time they are not gonna be nearby to anything in a lot of years.

Lets see the next market which players remains and who are the new faces, i can feel Ajax going to south america to catch new gems.
As an Ajax fan, you don't have much to laugh about at the moment, another weak and very disappointing season. How can you turn things around next season? The coach and Van der Sar have left or been replaced, a difficult situation and that will continue next year.

I agree, Ajax now only have a chance of finishing fourth, but they can't afford many more slip-ups. They have to win today in any case, I don't think AZ will lose against the team at the bottom of the table. If Ajax lose or only manage a draw, fourth place will soon no longer be realistic.

Well, it seems that getting the number 4 position will only be in a dream. ajax had many opportunities to show that they were finally recovered, but unfortunately after having a sequence of victories, they fell back into decline, when I look at this:

It's clear to me that ajax has entered its failure mode again. and it went into this failure mode at the right time because the league games are approaching the end and when we see that in 5 games ajax only managed to have just 1 victory, then we see that they wasted 12 points and if ajax had won in all games from the last 5 games would be in position number 3 at that moment or at least would be at the same point as the team in position 3. but unfortunately Ajax showed that they have not recovered and this season everything is already lost, position 5 is the more suitable for Ajax and next season the chances of finishing in that position 5 again is more realistic than dreaming of the title next season

PSV 1 - 0 Twente

PSV had a very complicated game against Twente who occupy position 3, in that game PSV dominated possession but failed to score many goals and were lucky to score 1 goal in the 90+6 minutes. Twente did well in defense, despite having lost, in my opinion they showed that they are a team that deserves to be in position 3 and that they can improve further next season. with this victory, PSV remains 10 points ahead of the team in position 2 and an interesting fact is that PSV only conceded just 13 goals in the league in 26 games and scored 81 goals and have not lost in any game since the league has started, I'm wondering: will PSV be champions without losing a game?  Grin

Ajax misery is still going on as currently they are trailing by 2–0 against Sparta Rotterdam with we are in 60th minute of the match and if we have no action from the Ajax most chances we will have no chance for them to have fourth spot because AZ Alkmaar is already won their away game by big margin, and now we have difference of points 9 which is surely not easy to cut in coming 8 rounds of the season.

Two goals in both halves are enough for the leading game by Sparta Rotterdam's Verschueren even we have good ball control and too many chances for the Ajax, but sadly they fail to give anything good in this game while now Sparta Rotterdam is going to end their winless streak after three matches in league.
The game ended in a draw 2-2 with Ajax having a red card in the ninetieth minute of the game and they had to equally share points with Sparta. Recalling back to how Ajax began the season, they did had a very poor performance but then it wasn't too long they picked up form again and it looked like they were very much back on their feet and we're ready to take back their position in the eredivisie.

Later they had very nice results which made them appeared very productive and I taught it's a new era for them and that they were most definitely going to get to the top four and hopefully get to secure a champions league spot for next season but then in their las five game they have proven otherwise in their performance and they no longer look productive to me because I don't like the results I'm seeing and it's not even looking like they will make it to the Europa according to the eredivisie standard of ranking their team for the next season.

Ajax has lost one and won one then drew the remaining in their last five games and they are not looking like they are in their better form at this time, they may just be trying to maintain a position around the fifth and sixth position which actually isn't going to get them anywhere away from the eredivisie, they are most definitely going to stay within the eredivisie and may not participate in elite leagues next season of they don't improve their performance before the end of the season.

With this slip Ajax now has to make do with fifth place, and will therefore not be represented internationally, one of Ajax's weakest seasons in recent decades, but there can be no excuses, there should be enough money...

Feyenoord continued to follow their rival by defeating Heerenveen 3-2 away.Although it will last until the last weeks, it should not be forgotten that there is still 10 points difference with their rival PSV.If PSV enters the last 4 weeks like this, they will declare their championship. There are 8 weeks left in the league and there is no reason for the point difference to close, but I don't think PSV will lose points. At least they will complete this season as champions. They continued their leadership by taking an important 3 points by defeating Twente, one of the form teams of this season, 1-0.If PSV had lost points in this match, then they could have been stressed. This win against Twente will further reduce the hopes of their opponents. The winning goal coming in the last minutes was the breaking moment of the match.

They ended up rescuing a draw but still the same, you cant be this shit, i still cant believe how bad they are this season, and not wake up no matter the circunstance. Now they are 8 points behind AZ and with less and less games remaining, by far the worst season i remember for them.
This season is terrible nightmare for Ajax, they eliminated from UEFA cups early, now they continue to be joke in Eredivisie. Now they have get spot in next season Conference league somehow and then there is lot of work for them to do in summer.
Meanwhile PSV achieved crazy difficult win against Twente, scoring only goal on 97th minute. Champions mentality.

I dont know if i can call that a recovery, just because they win a few matches against very weak teams. A team like Ajax needs to be at least in the top 3 and we cross the middle of the season and they still cant reach the fourth position , so yes is a recovery but not a real one, Ajax fans surely a truly dissapionted.

I can't call it like they have recovered either.  Sad  Ajax haven't just been able to find themselves since the Erik ten Hag time period ended. They have changed 5 coaches in only 2 years since then.  Shocked

This is just serious and worrying for Ajax unfortunately. John van 't Schip has done better than the last coach Maurice Steijn so far. But on the other hand it is still ambiguous if he is really the one for Ajax. To be able to see a similar success to Erik ten Hag's we need to observe his football and their results much longer.

To tell the truth, I really want to see Ajax recovering like many people. They were the face of the Eredivisie for a really long time but they are lost for quite much time.

I was really optimistic about their chances for the third or fourth spot, but suddenly they are back in terrible which is surely going to have big impact on their end of this season as well because in last six games in Eredivisie they are having only one win which is surely the worst thing for them and now AZ Alkmaar is also back in good which is allowing them to stay at the fourth spot which is also good for them but Ajax surely try his best for ending at the fourth which is not easy but possible.

Ajax which is having most defeats in this season 7 and also conceded most goals at the top level with 45 is also giving how terrible they are in this season, and they needed to be overhauled of their strategy with selling of players also needed to be had on some level which not hurt their performance and progress into their league as well.

time doesn't take long to pass, there are only a few games left for the league to finish, in the case of ajax from what I said, ajax only has 9 games left, in those 9 games ajax will play against 2 very strong teams, I'm talking about twente and feyenoord who In my opinion, Ajax has a greater chance of losing in these 2 games. With this, Ajax would have 7 games to win and finish in 4th position, a task that will be very difficult to achieve if AZ is not losing, but AZ will have very difficult games in the remaining games that they have left until the end of the league. , so in my opinion ajax still has a chance of finishing in position 4. but unfortunately ajax has no chance of finishing in position 3, 2 and 1. this season ajax will not be able to achieve anything relevant and I suspect that in the season last time will also be difficult for ajax

I say this because this current Ajax squad is not strong enough to be able to fight for the title next season and I don't know if Ajax management has the money to make some important signings in this transfer window that will open in a few months, if the Ajax doesn't have a plan that consists of signing good players, so next season Ajax will be fighting just to stay in position 4 or positions lower than position 4, which is terrible for Ajax, which was a team that constantly dominated the league. Talking about PSV, well anyone can see that PSV will be champions this season, they had a very good season, they performed well and continue to maintain their good performance, and in this way they will be champions

And if the PSV management keeps most of the good players and the coach, then I see PSV and Feyenoord competing with each other next season to see which of these 2 teams will become champions, and a scenario that has a greater chance of happening in the next season. My opinion, because I don't see Ajax with this current squad being able to fight for the title next season. Twente also had a good season and in my opinion they deserve to finish in third place, I hope that next season they will get stronger and be able to fight for the title

For Ajax it was a good round and Ajax could make up a few points on the next place, but whether fourth place still works out, AZ would have to have a weak phase. Of course the Ajax fans are very disappointed but this season is unfortunately the way it is.

PSV can't be caught anyway, Feyenoord will almost certainly secure second place..
