In the next few hours Ajax will play against Sittard, on paper of course Ajax will win and I have no doubts about that. But even so, I personally don't have a strong prediction of how big the winning score will be for Ajax in this match, considering that Sittard is trying hard to get out of the relegation zone, but at the same time Ajax are competing with PSV at the top of the standings. Obviously, in this match there is no chance for Sittard to score a goal, but is it possible for Ajax to win by 5 goals or more, this is a very good chance to get points and gain a lot of goals.

I also see it very relaxed for Ajax, even if they have now fallen behind PSV, but overall it is a very close race for first place between Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord. Nobody expected that before the season, Ajax has a very good defence as you wrote, even in the Champions League group stage they only conceded 5 goals. With Liverpool and Bayern they are the only team to have won all group stage matches. On 23 January will be a very important game for both.
I'm enjoying the high level of competition for the lead among top three teams in the league now. Feyenoord are a little away from PSV and Ajax after losing to Ajax by 2-0 the last time though. But the gap is not big in the end. As long as Feyenoord and PSV keep their performance up until the end of the season, Ajax won't be able to pull away from them clearly. And I wouldn't reject a different team than Ajax to become the champions.

Ajax already played against strong teams like Real and Chelsea in 2019, with good results, do you remember that? The current squad is more mature (same goes for the bench) and even more a unit compared to the 2018/2019 squad. Ajax defence is one of the strongest part of their team they have two potentially world class centre backs in Timber & Martinez. Blind is class as always and Mazroui is a technically gifted right back who was there in 2019. Only weak point we have is our goalkeeper he's playing well so far but need a better keeper. Hopefully Onana gets to play regularly before the round of 16. In today's match against Fortuna Sittard, I expect a win.

Feyenoord are a little out of the fierce competition for the league title now but they are still not far away of course. But they got a big hit by 2-0 against Ajax in their last game which must be devastating for them. But I don't expect them to give up on their title chance that easy as their general performance level is very good. And on this week, I see that PSV, Ajax and Feyenoord all have easy games. I think that all of them will end this week without loss of points.

I agree with you that it hasn't been this exciting for a long time, and probably none of us would have thought that Feyenoord could keep up. None of the three teams can afford many slip-ups against smaller teams in the spring, otherwise the gap could become too big again and the chances of winning the title will be reduced.

This year we are having a very good Eredivisie with the top three teams being divided by just 4 points and this is great for the fans but even better for the people who bet on these teams.Sure they may lose one time but most of the games these teams now are forced to win if they want to win the Eredivisie so for me this is a golden opportunity when placing different parlays on weekend,we can make sure to add Ajax and PSV to them and sometimes even Feyenoord.I think that most of the major European Leagues are in such situation and we should take profit by making winning parlays on weekends.

You say we could have had any result, but that is not quite true given how strong Ajax currently plays. Yes they did lose a game recently in the league, but they were still the dominant team for almost the whole match. They have just not been fully concentrated for a couple of moments and conceded the goals. Usually they are focussed enough to take those games home.
My favorite team for this year, PSV were on the top stand. It's good if they can maintain until the end of half session next week and win versus Go Head Eagles at home. but on the other side, Ajax won't PSV let go far away from them, of course, Ajax will desperately get the win versus Fortuna Sittard in Amsterdam Arena. PSV did their homework and are now very well positioned at the top of the table together with Ajax. I am pretty sure they will be pushing each other for optimal performances in the coming weeks after Christmas. This will be a close race for rank 1 until the very end I guess.

By the end of January (23rd9 it will be showtime between PSV Einhoven and Ajax Amsterdam. I guess lots of people are looking forward to that game if until then it stays as close as it is now. It will be a home game for PSV. That could already be a little bit of a decider depending on the situation in the table then.

I enjoyed the match. It was quite a bad day for Feyenoord, Senesi scored an own goal in the first half. And they couldn't equalize the match, while Ajax ended up getting a penalty kick in the second half, which Tadic probably scored. Although, in squad strength, Ajax are much stronger than Feyenoord. Ajax is obviously much better team than Feyenoord and PSV, and they just need to be close to top, and handle all the difference in matches between those three, since I hardly believe that Feyenoord and PSV will take any points from duels with Ajax
PSV is on top at the moment, which is great for them, but Twente and AZ are in great form, and could see themselves above Feyenoord in the end
