I'm already looking forward to the match between PSV and Ajax in Philips Stadion in four days. Currently, we are watching a great competition between them to take the lead and maintain it. PSV still haven't lost their lead after capturing it from Ajax. They both won their last league matches and now there is a big match like this. There is only one point between them now in the standings. And by the way, PSV couldn't have been able to beat them in this stadium since September 2018. Taking this into account, it will be a match that is open for any kind of result. I feel like Ajax won't lose.

PSV is still at the top of the points table with 46 points from 19 matches. Ajax is in second place on the table with 1 point less. Every season we see these two teams fighting for the title. I am looking forward to January 23rd. The match between PSV and Ajax will be played on the 23rd. I think the team that wins this match is going to win the title. Ajax won their home match 5-0 against PSV. Will PSV be able to avenge the previous embarrassing defeat?

The fierce battle between PSV and Ajax is going on at full speed. PSV beat Groningen by the only goal they scored in the 10th minute of the match. And Ajax finished Utrecht away by the three goals they scored in the first half already. PSV keep their lead by one point ahead of Ajax now. But Feyenoord are in a really bad condition. They played a tough match against Vitesse home last and lost it by 1-0 too. And this caused the interval between Ajax and them to increase to six points. Maybe they won't even enter the competition again but it is early to say so.

It will certainly be an exciting game, for both teams it is about important points, PSV has a home advantage but can PSV stop the goal machine Ajax? I don't think the game will end 5:0 for Ajax like last time, but I hope it won't be a boring 0:0 draw, but I can't imagine that there won't be a goal in this game.

For the sake of completeness, the games of the 20th round:

Ajax leads 3:0 shortly before the end and puts PSV in front and under pressure. PSV is also overtaken in the table and can only pass Ajax again with a win.

Bitter for Feyenoord because they lost yesterday, so Ajax and PSV can extend the lead, but PSV must first win.
Ajax and PSV have managed to maintain their performance in the league so far, Ajax and PSV victory yesterday automatically didn't make any significant changes in the edivisie standings on week 19, the additional three points obtained by PSV still keep them in first place and are followed by Ajax is in second place with a difference of 1 point, the competition between Ajax and PSV is quite tight, because if PSV slips once, it will automatically make Ajax coup their position at the top of the standings.

That's why I'm already looking forward to the next match. Should Ajax win against PSV as clearly as they did last time (5:0), the table will actually be very surprising. The goal difference of both teams.

Ajax. 59:4
PSV: 47.24

This crazy statistic was also picked up and analysed on an Austrian site in German, very interesting that Ajax is "only" second with such a goal difference.

Three wonderful goals from Ajax, keeping clean sheets in the process.
Psv will follow suit, three goals expected from that fixture, hopefully it turns out to be that way.
A good start is good for their mentality and the full squad.

PSV did the necessary and won the game and is now leader before the match on Sunday 23.1 against Ajax, the game could be a small preliminary decision even if the season is still long.

Also for the 3rd place it could get tighter again, very good if the season stays exciting and no team can break away.

What a disappointing night it was for Feyenoord! They played a really tough home game against Vitesse and lost the game by 0-1. They conceded the goal in the 69th minute. And actually, they found the equalizer in only four minutes but it was disallowed by VAR decision due to handball. And they couldn't equalize the score in the remaining minutes. This caused them to get away even more from Ajax in the league standings. Because Ajax destroyed Utrecht by three goals they scored in the first half. And today, PSV are going to play an away game against Groningen. I think that PSV won't make a mistake and they'll take the lead back from Ajax.

Feyenoord didn't take the chance today and lost the difficult match against Vitesse, if PSV and Ajax win tomorrow Feyenoord could lose the connection to the top. Vitesse, on the other hand, could even fight for 3rd place with a good spring season.

tomorrow the 19th matchday in the dutch eredivisie begins - it looks like there will be a three-way fight for the title
since ajax has maintained its squad over the winter, amsterdam is still my favorite for the championship
there is also a nice cartoon about ajax, which has also regained its international strength Grin

Three teams currently have competition in winning the Eredivisie league trophy, PSV, Ajax and Feyenoord are teams that have a big chance to champions at the end of the season, I personally see that the competition that is happening seems to be getting tougher, moreover there are two teams right now still have a schedule for matches in european competition ajax and Feyenoord, I think PSV, which has now been eliminated in the european league, will certainly have more advantages to be able to focus on the league and in my opinion, this season's Eredivisie champion will likely belong to PSV.

We haven't seen any match to be played for three weeks in the Eredivisie. PSV are the current leader with 43 points and Ajax follow them right behind by one point. And Feyenoord are three points behind Ajax. And it seems like especially Ajax and Feyenoord have tough matches ahead. PSV have an easier opponent and I believe that they will beat Groningen. But if their closest followers lose points, there can be an opportunity for PSV to open the gap more.

Exactly after the long winter break, we are fresh again for the spring season, the following games are waiting for us:

On paper PSV have the easier game of the three leaders, Feyenoord can advance once tomorrow and join Ajax and PSV in the short term, but Vitesse must first be beaten.

I can see that there are still nearly two weeks for the next games in the Eredivisie. And according to the current look of the standings, especially PSV and Ajax are fighting really hard for the lead. PSV still maintain their lead as they didn't make loss of points in their last game against G.A. Eagles. Of course, Feyenoord also shouldn't be considered as out of the race. Maybe the interval is 4 points with the first two but they are still having good results. At the same time, their next game is against Vitesse which can make things really difficult for them.
there is still about 10 days for them to prepare themselves again after this holiday.
PSV will benefit a bit after this holiday because they will be against a relatively easier team compared to ajax which they will indeed be against Utrecht.
Even though in the last 4 matches Utrech still haven't been able to win but I think they are still a strong enough opponent to face

Yesterday, all 3 leader teams completed their tasks successfully and confidently. So they all had a perfect start to the winter break. What more could a fan ask for? Ajax has a very good defence this year and with Tadic and Haller also very good goal scorers who are always good for goals. Does Ajax have any reinforcements planned for the winter thanks to the champions league millions?

Ajax and Feyenoord each have a match today. Ajax are hosting Sittard tonight. I expect a huge win from Ajax against their too weak opponent like they did most of the time against them in the recent times. It wouldn't make me surprised if they win by at least four goals. But Feyenoord have a much tougher match ahead. They are playing away against Heerenveen. Feyenoord couldn't beat them in their last two away head-to-head matches. Maybe they could stumble again.
ajax like it or not they have to be able to win again in this match because apart from reducing the margin from PSV they also have to at least secure their points so as not to be overtaken by Feyenord.
On the other hand, even though today's match against Feyenord was quite difficult, but these two teams (Ajax and Feyenord) I feel that I will be able to win the match before this holiday break.
PSV on the other hand will also have an easy match tomorrow and I feel they will still be at the top of the table now

It seems Ajax will have a tough time winning the Eredivisie trophy this season. PSV are currently leading on the standings while they are 1 point ahead of Ajax, and judging from their present performance, PSV are likely to win this season title. Although, they are at the middle of the season, and have more 17 matches to be played. However, Ajax have a home match to play today against Sittard, Ajax will definitely win this match because Sittard have a weak squad which won't be able to withstand Ajax.
