After watching a well deserved F1 qualification session , it's time for me to start up my steam account and patch Dota 2 because I'm super curious how Ringmaster feels to play but also I'm very curious to find out why people are being mad at TI compendium. I know this compendium won't be like the previous ones but on the same time , a small percent of compendium will actually go towards TI prize-pool so people should be happy because Valve cameback to this decision after 2 years without any compendium before TI.  Cool
To be honest, I have never availed any compendium.  Tongue
While the part of it really goes to fund the TI prize but they don't give that much of the value that players spend for that. Many that purchases it are doing it for the sake of helping the fund to go up but if it's bang for the buck, many will disagree. Currently, the prize pool for TI has already reached $2.1M after the release of compendium, not bad though.

We could have another rematch between Team Spirit and Team Falcons after their intense upper final yesterday, Tundra made it close against Team Falcons in the first round, but I still think they'll have their number again. I'm sticking with Team Falcons to win instead of the over, they could quickly sweep Tundra and focus on the grand final.
You're right and congratulations to your bet. Team Falcons won 3-0, easy.

Going to another tournament, the CCT series 3, they're now on the playoffs. For sure that some of us here are familiar to the few teams and the unpopular teams with known players that are participating this tournament that has a $50k prize pool. Anyway, here's the playoffs and teams below and it's about to start in less than 3 hours.

Same here, we already knew it was coming once again after last year's TI, people are just overreacting when we already have the Crownfall event that's already better, it's packed with good content and minigames from the first act until the third plus it's free.

So don't know if they are on a run or have just tapped into a strategy of being just that good suddenly.
The previous Elite League probably pushed them to focus even further, I was also surprised they lasted this long.

Best advice one can give to these strange results of dota2 lately I have seen here thus far! Wink
Thanks, I only want to give a reminder since it sucks when your bankroll is dried up just before a big tournament.  Wink

I thought I misread the schedule yesterday, and it looks like the decider matches for the FISSURE tournament got pushed as the Ringmaster patch caused some issues.

Guess you completely missed my previous post before placing a bet on GG.
They lost their previous match while being heavy favorites too. And NOUNS beat them and another heavy favorite just the day before. So don't know if they are on a run or have just tapped into a strategy of being just that good suddenly.

Yep I completely missed that. If only I had known about it then I would not picked that absurd bet. Well its actually part of my stupidity to not check liquipedia before I bet. I normally would but yeah shit happened I guess

I agree, we should tread lightly for now and save most of it for TI, where most teams would bring out their full potential.

Its totally going to be way different on TI because thats literally the top place for dota2 pro player to showcase their ability so I kinda expect that there would be alot of over 2.5 maps on TI for sure. less than 2 weeks to go for TI  Smiley, save your balance guys

Anyway, another -1.5 for today. I just hope that GG wont flop this one

Its currently a good patch for GG so yeah I hope I made the right call today
Actually disregard my dumb bet lol. I didnt pay attention to the tournament though and I thought this was the 1st game for GG, turned out they lost against Nouns yesterday. I totally got no clue about this. If I had atleast spare a minute of my time to literally check this, I wont even make this bet. Dang
It seems that Spirit found a way out to work great as a team in this patch too because even if they had a shaky Riyadh when nothing really worked in their favor , they found a way to improve their style
Its not really surprising with Team Spirit. Happened last year as well, team Spirit suddenly played better when TI is coming. I bet they are motivated to win their 3rd TI this year which is why they are now much better

Im watching the game right now and it seems cloud9 could have a huge chance to close this up with 2-0 straight
When Cloud9's Pudge dc'd into the mid to late game I surely thought G2.IG had that in the bag because it's always a big disadvantage to play 4v5, but they overextended during their high-ground push attempt and the timers got long enough for Cloud9 to go for the throne.

This tournament is like a break for most of the teams that are going to participate in the The International 2024. We've got less than a month before that grand tournament comes and so a new patch has came and most teams have also a way to practicing their hero.

That's right and with the latest patch, there's a new hero now Ringmaster[1] but I don't think that this will be included before the TI happens but still, we've got now the 2024 compendium. It's now showtime and the most awaited time on how much fund will be gathered through this update.

Just placed a bet on the match being played in this tournament as PSG look dominant and the odds looked right.
Don't usually bet on DOTA2 matches while they are in progress but to be honest there isn't really anything to bet on today.
What is the next major after these play-in qualifiers in this league?
You're right, FISSURE is currently on the semi finals as G2 x IG has already been qualified and it is from the upper bracket for this play in. There will only be two slots for the main event so they take the first one. And there are only three teams left, 1win is waiting for the finals and as of typing this, PSG.Quest against nouns are already being played and the standing is already 1-0 in favor of PSG.Quest. If the 2nd map will be for PSG then we'd see the slot finals for 1win and PSG.Quest later. There are some other tournaments that are being played but the participants are like tier 2-3 teams still, if you have some time to spend, it's fine to watch but avoid betting as 322 are possible with those lowkey tournaments.
What is with this tournament?
As I had mentioned I placed a bet on PSG-Quest yesterday when they were up a map. They ended up losing.
Took a risk but thought they could do it since it was 1-1 per team and the odds showed 1.45x at that point.
Also had Garmin Gladiators on there who were 1.17x odds.
So thought it was a lock for my all DOTA2 betslip.
Both lost horrendously.

So today, tried it again. Low odds teams but exact same results with NOUNS winning their match aswell who were playing PSG-Quest during that match the day before.

Unbelievable!

We've got less than a month before that grand tournament comes and so a new patch has came and most teams have also a way to practicing their hero. Prize on this tournament isn't that much but participation here is a good one for most of the teams that are invited and qualified during the play in. I have bet for GG on the losers' match against BetBoom and I thought that they are going to do better this time. I'm not sure if BetBoom is just stronger or GG just want an early exit but I don't believe with such. If a team loses, they're weaker than the other one but then they are now having a longer rest and preparation for the upcoming TI. We're nearing to the playoffs for the FISSURE.

Currently Spirit is playing against Falcons and we can clearly see that Spirit is indeed the better team in this series but we can also see that Falcons didn't really improve a lot in this patch and with TI being so close , I can't see them having enough time to actually be again a top 1-2 team.

If G2.IG manage to push Team Falcons to a third map, then their next match should have a good chance as well, I got this one close to even as the odds are slightly leaning on the under.

Luckily, I stayed away, I would've gone for their map handicaps too. Grin

That third map got close only because IG's lineup was good at taking down towers and a bit of backdoor threat from the Nature's Prophet carry.

Ikr, I should have stayed away from Falcons as well. I mean they are good but they played differently when they are on group stage. I probably would still bet on them on the playoff though

Anyway, another -1.5 for today. I just hope that GG wont flop this one

I knew it. Its always ended up badly for me whenever I picked -1.5. Either on dota2 or cs2, its always ended up not as expected

Falcons lost less than 21 minutes on the 1st map are sick. 3rd map was pretty close too, 70 minutes

But then look at the other match ups and the heavy favorites lost too. Team Falcons for example.
Happened aswell in CS2 in Blast Premier Fall series. Lesser ranked teams eliminated the more well known teams such as NiP and Heroic.

Now thinking it was because of the Super Moon last night. As you know bettors are quite superstitious.

Well done for Nouns and then after they've reverse swept PSG.Quest, they're able to straightly win against 1win for 3 straight games and it didn't have to reach 5th map.

Qualifying to the FISSURE tournament is probably way easier than playing in it. Group A consist of GG, Tundra and Betboom alongside Nouns so thats a pretty hard group for them especially with only two qualify to the next round and we all know one of it would be either GG or Tundra
4 teams all in all for both group A and B. Group B is also a tough one, so 2 teams proceeding and 2 teams will get eliminated for both groups.
As for the group B, the group is consists of tough teams too;

  • Team Spirit
  • Team Falcons
  • Cloud 9
  • G2 x IG

Nouns completed the reverse sweep and I didn't expect they'd take down 1win too when they're starting to look like one of the best teams in the EEU region after Team Spirit and BetBoom.

With most of the matches lately from play-in, to the main tournament. All I see is this new meta about sniper support. It's easy to play with that hero but the impact of it at the early game is so strong but in the mid to late game, if no item is found then that hero as a support is totally useless.

Ever since Fly joined Nouns, they are now way better

They even managed to qualify to TI through the qualifiers though so yeah while 1win is probably like top 3 best EEU region team, Nouns is the best NA team right now

Anyway, FISSURE has started. I forgot to bet on the opening game so I'll just bet on the next game instead

Looking at the schedule we got TI that's two and a half weeks away, if you're referring to FISSURE's next major tournament i'd say around 2025 based on the tournaments they've organized.

If the 2nd map will be for PSG then we'd see the slot finals for 1win and PSG.Quest later.
