Meanwhile that makes their current roster into this line up;
The replacement they got for the 4 and 5 is good, and hopefully, their new position two is an upgrade since he'll immediately be tested on the Snow Ruyi tournament together with a few of the best teams like Xtreme Gaming and Team Spirit.

I also saw Nigma Galaxy with a few replacements for the Snow Ruyi tournament, and I somehow think there's potential for their lineup to produce decent results.

Yeah, the CS2 EWC is now on the opening stage. Qualification matches are going to start within 24 hours.
Just started watching the qualifications for EWC in CS2 with The Mongolz leading G2 Esports 5-3 I believe is the second map.
Will have to watch the rest of the matches scheduled for today as there are alot of mismatches with heavy favorites playing today against lower tiered teams.
The Mongolz seem to be the only team that I had heard of competing against the higher tiered teams playing today.
Two great tournaments at the same time and I can't watch them all. Give us some updates on how it goes there with EWC in CS2.
Looks like G2 Esports are back!
After checking the results from the qualifiers yesterday they are in and going to face-off against Team Spirit in the quarter-finals starting tomorrow for this Esports World Cup tournament.
The rest of the teams who made it through are at the following link:
https://www.hltv.org/events/7732/esports-world-cup-2024
MOUZ are still not showing who they will be facing off with yet but they will be playing the last chance winner.

Also congratulations to @klidex for his result shown above and best of luck to everyone else with their bets in Epsorts for this EWC!

G2 are back indeed! Malds was a great addition to his team and he saw this yesterday in his performance when he was 3rd place in frags in both maps. Now , I don't think Snax was a great choice for G2 ...because he barely makes any frags and his play style is not suitable for this team but it's early to actually critique his performance with G2.

Also big day in Dota 2 where OG was sent home by PSG.Quest and I must say OG is far from that they used to be so nothing surprising here. Next series is a banger between Falcons and Gladiators in upper bracket and we might see 3 maps even if this new patch tends to have only 2-0 in Bo3 series.

That Xtreme Gaming Vengeful Spirit pick for mid vs. Falcons ruined my 4 legged correct score parlay. Maybe if they didn't pick Vengeful Spirit mid, they might have won game 3 and secured the next round upper bracket. Good thing Xtreme Gaming won two games against Aurora today that was and easy game for Xtreme gaming. They might be playing next round against BB since BB vs. Entity is 1-0 right now.
I'm watching Entity versus BetBoom. I have a bet with the match winner on this game and that's Entity gaming and I hope that they'd win.
Unfortunately, you are not lucky, friend. Entity is a good team, but beating BetBoom is very difficult. I was initially quite hesitant to place this bet, but in the end I placed a bet on the BetBoom team when the 3rd map match took place, even though after that Entity equalized, but I still believe in BetBoom will win this match and sure enough the final result is 1:2 Tongue
Yeah, that was a lost.  Embarrassed
But I am happy that you're able to win. On the 3rd map, it seems that Entity really had hard time on playing against BetBoom.

Some news, a roster change from Azure Ray. They have removed 3 players and their coach so that concludes 4 people got removed by the organization.

1. Former coach LaNm (Zhang Zhicheng) leaves the team;
2. Former Pos 2 Ori (Zeng Jiaoyang) leaves the team;
3. Former Pos 4 fy (Xu Linsen) leaves the team;
4. Former Pos 5 Tianming (Jiang An) becomes inactive.

These are the four folks that have been removed from the roster.

Meanwhile that makes their current roster into this line up;

EWC at Cs2 started today and I must say G2 looks fresh with their new line-up so maybe it's time once again for them to shine and actually win World Cup. Same goes for NaVi who is currently demolish Furia in both maps and probably won't stop until semi-finals or even the finals.

Now , back to dota 2 where Entity proved to be just a pub team without sinergy between players and if they won't improve in this category , nothing special will come for this team. I can also say that Fishman doesn't really understand the current meta because his hero pools is kinda low and he needs to improve a lot before TI happens if they want to make a great impression.

Another day , another problem with EWC production... . We had 1 hour delay on game Tundra vs OG because apparently Valve serves crashed beyond salvation and it was necessary for a full restoration. Then we had the long Technical Break on Falcons vs XG which kinda ruined XG momentum because they were coming after winning game 2 against Falcons and had great vision on how to draft but after 30 minutes break , they simply gave up mentally while drafting and ended up playing Venge on mid... .

Hopefully the last series between Spirit and Liquid will go smooth , without any tech pauses or any other problems and maybe it is time for Liquid to show us that god like mode Dota 2 from group stages because there were some insane drafts from 33 and Blitzz that truly makes Liquid unique in draft mode.  Shocked

Wow! Good breakdown on the Riyadh Masters @passwordnow thanks for that man! Grin
No problem.  Wink

So Blacklist are out but still get part of the prize money right?
Yes, all of the teams that are out already of the Riyadh Masters will still get prize money. Most of the major tournaments have the prize even for the last places.

Thought I read somewhere that their CEO was looking to disband their current roster.
It's very likely but let's see if it will happen. The org is in losses for this roster that they've made for two years for this team.

But if they won something for placing 15-16 along with MOUZ, doesn't that save them from getting their team disbanded?
Nope, their expenses is more than that prize money.

Atleast we still have the CounterStrike matches to keep us invested in this EWC tournament there.

So they are the ones who took out Blacklist?
Blacklist did good on that match, to be honest, but it's not only Team Spirit that kicked them out but also the other teams. The bad thing about bo2 is the point system.

The most crucial game and match of Blacklist was with Gaimin Gladiators. And it was during their map 1.

Blacklist was about to win the game but it became a base race and GG was able to win that race to destroy the throne.

They are up against Team Liquid today so we will see if they have the metal to get through to the next stage.
Team Liquid is most likely gonna lose against Team Spirit.

Was hearing Team Spirit were doing bad in this tournament a couple of days ago when I was checking out the sports chat that I frequent.
But according to these two matches they won:
TEAM SPIRIT vs LGD - TI FINAL REMATCH - EWC x RIYADH MASTERS 2024 DOTA 2

BLACKLIST vs TEAM SPIRIT - AMAZING GAME - EWC x RIYADH MASTERS 2024 DOTA 2

So they are the ones who took out Blacklist?

Only several hours left, i'm excited for the playoff matches later since it's all the good teams facing off and the only one-sided odds we have is the Falcons vs. Xtreme Gaming series.

I'm not sure if the prize they won was enough to cover what the org spent throughout their stay in Dota when it can cost thousands to maintain a stacked team. I remember watching a clip from Kuku's stream where he tried to estimate the cost and the numbers are so high (he said around $200k) that i'm amazed by teams who are willing to stay in the scene for this long while not qualifying.

As I was checking what the matchups looked like earlier today and saw there weren't any matches being played and they will continue on tomorrow.

No games for today, we have to wait until tomorrow so there's 1 day off for all the teams. And what's interesting when the games for Riyadh Masters goes back, it will start with the upper bracket. After that, whoever loses will have to face those teams that are in the lower bracket and that will determine their stay if they will continue or they're totally out of the tournament. Those that have been out recently, both SA team, Heroic and beastcoast finished at 13th-14th place going home with $70k. Blacklist and MOUZ ended 15th-16th and takes home $40k prize money, the rest teams are $25k and $15k.

Quite satisfied with the results, Tundra performed quite well and he will be the strongest challenger at the moment, but Team Liquid also cannot be underestimated, he performed well too and might become a rival strong for Tundra.
I also had Team Liquid to sweep that series and they made it so sweaty against Mouz in the second map because they had a slightly weaker lineup in the early stages of the game. Mouz should've won, but they choked so badly that they couldn't end the game despite having the tempo on their side.

Personally I didn't expect BetBoom to have such bad games here and I would have placed them to qualify for upper bracket before the tournament began.
I had the same expectations thinking they'd finish at least the top four, and so far they've had an overall underwhelming performance after splitting maps against weaker teams like Mouz together with the costly 0-2 losses from Xtreme Gaming and Team Liquid.

It looks like group A won't have tie breakers for elimination but it might have them for who is gonna win the group between Falcons and Spirit.
I don't think that's still needed. Both teams have already qualified to the next round and they're both in top 1 and top 2 respectively. Heroic and Blacklist International have already both eliminated to this group stage.

However , Group B is where the things might go wild with as PSG , BetBoom and Beastcoast are all fighting for their chance to remain in this tournament but they are all fighting for lower bracket qualification.  Embarrassed Personally I didn't expect BetBoom to have such bad games here and I would have placed them to qualify for upper bracket before the tournament began.
PSG Quest has already bid farewell as they are the first team to get eliminated for this group B. Beastcoast is currently against XG and currently on 1-0. If XG wins again on the map 2, then beastcoast shall be eliminated on this round.
