It was absolutely horrible to watch Team Talon play. It was like a public page where everyone doesn't understand what their team is doing. It was like their Discord was broken or they were all fighting. And BB looked bad. It was very boring matches where players couldn't hit each other with abilities. I watched a streamer who simply said that all the matches were not at the level of the International. It is unclear how such weaklings turned out to be.

Two teams already said ended their journey to this The International 2024.
  • Talon Esports
  • Team Zero

You can add Nouns onto your list there.

I honestly thought Nouns would be way better than this. They were terrible on the group stage but managed to win 2-0 against Team Spirit for the seeding decider which led me to think they were not even serious on the group stage.

They lost to GG on the upper bracket and yeah I still had my doubts that they will not lose on the lower bracket. I mean it was unexpected that they were able to win 2-0 against Team Spirit but today they are horrible against Betboom lol

What kind of surprised will we get for the lower bracket again huh Team Falcons to get knocked out?  Cool

Two teams already said ended their journey to this The International 2024. My two bets lost for the match winner of 1w and Team Zero, I bet for Team Zero but 1w won. And at the same time, my bet for under 2.5 maps for Talon and BetBoom lost too. So, in conclusion, these are the two teams so far that have been eliminated and there will be another two at the end of this day.

Anyone following League of Legends tournaments? There was the LCK finale series today between Gen.G Esports and Hanwha Life Esports today. HLE won the series by 3-2 in a legendary way even though Gen.G were the favourite side.  Smiley
I only tuned in until the fourth map and thought Gen G would take it in the fifth. There's also FlyQuest beating Team Liquid in the LCS grand finals the other day, the underdogs are hitting hard this weekend.  Cheesy

Zeka was called as the MVP of the series. I definitely think the same. He played a huge role in every win. I can say he really carried his team in the last games.
Viper played a big role as well whenever the team fights are looking bad, he somehow pops off and starts killing the rest of Gen G.

Gen.G completed the group stage much better actually. They lost only once. As for the playoffs, they were still great. They even beat HLE once by 3-1 in the upper bracket final. But this just made HLE more ambitious as they beat T1 first and took revenge on Gen.G in the grand final stage.  Wink

Just woke up in time to catch the ending of the first map of Team Falcons against Tundra.
From the looks of it with a 24-17 score the Falcons seem to be taking the win off this map.
Cloud 9 taking the victory over Aurora and Team Liquid beat Xtreme gaming in the earlier matches of the day.
With the looks of the scores right now for all of the matches that have been played today, looks like we're going to end this day with all 2-0.

Next is Nouns up against Gaimin Gladiators in the last of the upper bracket matches of day three to the playoffs in The Internationals tournament.
Nouns is impressive, first they've taken Team Spirit with 2-0. Now, they're down to 1 game to end this series against GG with a 1-0 as of the moment.

Just watching Team Spirit vs Nouns and they are getting smashed right now.
Spirit were still 1.35x after losing map 1 against them but now they are 1.75x down 6-11.
They must of been heavy favorites to win this match in the TI with such odds going into map 2.
I am a Team Spirit fan and they were the ones to choose who will they pick up as their opponent and they've chosen nouns.

They have probably thought that they can go easy 2-0 against them but then, the opposite has happened. And yes, nouns sent Team spirit in the lower bracket for winning 2-0 against them.

Tomorrow, it's going to be Team Spirit and G2 x IG while later it's going to be nouns and GG.

The bookies had them at 1.07 before the match started, overconfidence probably got to them after going flawless in the groups since their coach even said they gave a lot of room for Nouns.

The upper bracket starts in a few hours and I didn't expect we're heading into the playoffs when there's usually a day or two break in between after the groups.

I already have a ticket on the first playoffs match to go over 2.5 maps, the H2H favors Xtreme Gaming, but i'm counting on Team Liquid to put up a fight.

we have a lot of heroes that are garbage in this meta rotaion. ( omni who everyone counts on him but almost no team can make it work ).
You haven't watched the freaking match for second map of Team Falcons and BetBoom Team. Team Falcons has got the omniknight played by sneyking. They're about to lose the match but damn, for me sneyking was the MVP on that game with that omniknight. From early game, to midgame and late game. He's just too good playing that hero and I advice you to watch that. I am really impressed by that game and his performance there.

The only great thing I can say so far about this TI is the PGL production who is working flawlessly without any real problems and that is a huge GG for Dota 2 pro scene.
Hehehe. At least with this, you can appreciate this year's TI. I think that Valve has already given the rights to PGL for all of their upcoming sponsored tournaments.

EDIT : Liquid manage to take 1st map because of Medusa pos 4 :O
I've won this bet and they have won the series.

What did I just watch with the 2nd map of 1Win and Cloud9? watson played as invoker position one!

That's crazy and I think it's the first time that I've seen that happen on a TI match. But it was a good one, they've got monkey king as their mid.

It really worked against their opponent and it was a disaster to be honest. I guess that we'd see more invos in the pub now.

I really cannot enjoy this TI and that's because of the format. Everyone still has a chance to win and some teams prefer to not show strategies and stuff and they end up losing a lot in groups and then out of nowhere they start beating super teams. ( ex BB who was awful in group stages is currently beating Liquid without any chance for Liquid to actually play Dota ).

Then we have betting where this is the most random Dota TI ever where trows are happening every freaking game ...we have a lot of heroes that are garbage in this meta rotaion. ( omni who everyone counts on him but almost no team can make it work ).

Has anyone any bets in the group stage of TI for day 2 yet?
I've watched some of the games yesterday, there were a bunch of them but got a 1-2 score for my bets.

Another match currently going live right now are Heroic and Gaimin Gladiators.
Oh man, I hate this match. I bet for 2-0 GG on this game but it went 1-1. While I have lost that bet because it went the other way and Heroic won. I'm happy to see them that they're able to win 1 match against GG. That was heck of the game especially the 2nd map. Heroic was really winning the game and I thought that GG will turn the game upside down and will have a come back but they didn't.

I personally don't have any bets on TI yet because the games are pure lottery and you know why is it this way ? Because Valve decided to make a group stage where anyone can qualify further so no matter what place you get in the groups , you are still playing further in tournament. That's why , it's better to stay away from groups and just learn the meta and the style of teams as that might the only factor who could help us when we bet later on.
I understand you take but the adrenaline and excitement wants me to bet more as this it TI and it only happens once a year. Sum it up with the 2 games per series and that's really hard matches to bet on.

I must also say this is one of the worst TI ever created and hope Valve will take notice of this and never repeat this horrible mistake.
I can't conclude that yet but I'd say that it's not as hyped as the past ones. First, the prize pool isn't that much and secondly, the compendium didn't do what it is intended for. Still, this is still going to be a long tournament so it's possible that it could change your mind.

Turning to some CounterStrike from yesterday's ESL Pro League.
Did anyone happen to see the huge upset of Sangal vs Faze? They were 6.00x to win the match.

If not here are the highlights of this monumental collapse by the top tier CS2 team:

I've been first blood. GG won 2-0 against 1W, I thought that 1win will be able to tie the series but GG was outstanding. This is the GG form that I am expecting but that's fine on my end if I lose this bet for choosing draw.

Don't the Gaimin Gladiators usually step up their performance during these International tournaments?
I remember seeing their name last year in almost every matchup they were and resulting in victorious.
So from the looks of it they have started off hot coming into this one too.
Yes, they're always been that good but last year was probably their momentum but maybe it is still for this year. They've won easy 2-0 against 1win for which this team have been doing good for the past tournaments recently.

I love how Dark Zero is playing at TI and they beat Falcons in 1st map with style and precise timings that made their strategy work perfectly! Now , they are trying the same thing on map 2 by baiting Bristle as offlaner and ended up as hard support. I had some feeling that Dark Zero will be the Dark Horse of this TI and by the way they are playing I won't be surprised to see them reaching top 6. Grin
I like that map 1 and they've beaten Team Falcons. But on the map 2, I know that they have an odd line up but it's composed of a bristleback support to add minus armor which is the purpose of their line up. Team Falcons did them dirty on map 2.
