I think Lorenof uses Pango to be a good initiator, always using his combo skills correctly which can help make the team stronger.

Based on the teams they've taken a map, G2.IG has a slight edge on this matchup, and I can't blame you for taking the over 2.5 maps in this series since they're both equally bad.

G2 vs LGD Gaming match on map 3 was really very interesting, almost G2 could beat LGD again, but I admit that Shiro and Echo are reliable players who are able to take advantage of every moment properly.

I can't believe what games I've just witnessed with Aurora vs Heroic!! A mega impressive comeback from Aurora being down 30k networth at some point! Not only they managed to make a comeback but they win with backdoor protection being ON which makes this comeback even more crazy. No wonder why there is a tale with " Never go late game with SEA teams because that is where they prosper and play their best dota " and it's true.

It looks like that we're going to have a tie breaker. Both chinese teams, G2 x IG and LGD gaming got 1-1 with their last series. So, based on their scores, they're on the same 3 ties and 2 losses. Whilst for Virtus.Pro, they're getting in to the next round.

On group B, there won't be any team that will be eliminated, win or lose. And that is because Azure Ray got 0-6 with all of their games that guarantees their elimination but they still have 1 game left against nouns. Moving forward to the group stages, that's where I'd probably start betting but it's kind of hard when the series' are still gonna be a best of 2.

Despite that Blacklist was already qualified for group stages, their first match against Entity doesn't seem to be interesting at all.

Those who have bet on them have totally lost their money even if they're going to tie the series for the map 2. Both of these teams are already advancing to group stages so, it seems that they're just having fun.

And this match of theirs is just giving them the vibes to have fun.

I'm starting to think the issue will stay until the end of the group stage because it's been two days in and maybe their production team isn't the same compared to what they've had in the previous ESL/Dreamleague tournaments.

We're on the last day of the groups, and it's best to avoid the teams only playing for the seeding.

The teams that I find worth taking for today are beastcoast and Aurora to win at least a map for 1.68, Virtus pro needs to sweep beastcoast to avoid playing in the deciders tomorrow, but I don't see it happening after VP only won one out of the four maps they played. Aurora is slightly favored against Heroic which makes me a bit confident even though Heroic is the hottest team in their group going 7/8.

Nouns to sweep at 2.4 are tempting as well, i've read a comment saying that the Chinese teams aren't keeping up with the meta and it's why the three of them are struggling this badly.

I think it goes with the server of Valve. I'm not sure if ESW have coordinated this with Valve or not but they should help them with the server specifically on their region, MENA with this kind of tournament. But I hope that it will be smooth for the upcoming days to come especially the main event.

I've watched the match of PSG.Quest and Aurora. Well played for the Quest, they've completely outsmarted and outplayed Aurora for 2 games. I've missed that bet but I'd probably avoid that.

Day 2 with a lot of issues once again all across the streams and they still didn't fix the flickering issues , nor the server issues , nor the lag issues ...basically they didn't fix anything. Like this tournament has the biggest budget of the year for Dota 2 and they are still unable to provide a clean experience for teams to actually play their game without having to mentally reset from time to time just because the production are making mistakes after mistakes... .

Hopefully everything will be solved for official groups where the real Dota 2 should happening because if they don't , the experience will be a bad one no matter how much money Esports World Cup can provide right ? Huh

Today I was late in placing a bet so I only got very small odds on the first map. Cry

But I consider this as a warm up because after that I returned my satisfaction on map 2.

In the second map it is very easy to predict because from the first map the final results of these teams are clearly visible.
I felt a little strange seeing LGD playing style and this team could have held a draw but the bad strategy of using Spirit Breaker on the second map and letting Natsumi use Ursa was a big mistake. (Easy for LGD) Cheesy

Wow, that's so close but yeah, this is gambling and 2 games per series is hard to beat to be honest compared to the best of 3 series that we don't have three options but only win or lose if we're up for that kind of bet. This is a long day for the first day of play-in, the games are still on going but they're about to end soon as most of them are into their 2nd games for the group A. As for the group B, 3 matches are still waiting.

Wah, these best of 2 I didn't expect to be this long and we'll have to go through with them even on the group stages. But that's fine, it's up to us whether we'd skip most of these games but this is what we like here. We get to watch good dota games and at the same time, win or lose it doesn't matter at all as long as we've enjoyed the game.

Yeah the games are pretty unpredictable when it comes to bo2 but after the play-in, well still have the group stage which is also bo2 so thats gonna be a long wait until we get to the playoff stage. I'd guess sticking with some selections that have the potential for straight 2-0 or draws would be the main strats

This is what's risky with best of 2 series'. I've lost both of these bets but if I just bet for draws, obviously I've won them both but that's fine. This is life, this is gambling. So far the streams of Esports World Cup are having lots of problems. We have delays , we have servers problems , we have brightness problems and the streams are shaking every 20 seconds...so hopefully they will fix all of these issues by the end of day 1 because it hurts your eyes just to watch the streams... . Besides this , we can clearly see top tier Dota 2 from all teams and it's really hard to chose a meta draft and I'm curious how the drafts will evolve from game to game Grin

Thanks rdbase, first game both won by G2.IG and Blacklist. I'm currently watching the Blacklist and Beastcoast's 2nd game and it looks like Blacklist is not at good position at their early game. These games are only a best of 2 series so, if the 2nd game will be lost then it's a draw and my bet losses. But I hope that these two bets of mine will continue to win their 2nd game's. G2.IG and Entity's 2nd game, early game's good for G2.IG.

It seems that my bet with Blacklist looks gonna have a bad ending but as long as the game hasn't ended yet, the game's on.

Hopefully what happened to Blacklist International in the TI qualifier won't happen here in Riyadh, where they might be eliminated in the Play-In stage or end up in the lower bracket. Hopefully, this time they make it to the upper bracket since there's a big prize if they can secure the upper bracket. But I have doubt that Blacklist International will make it to the upper bracket. Gabbi is not good at Pos3. This is the problem what I see of blacklist. Well still good luck to them.
