News about this huge tournament called the Esports World Cup by the ones who brought the Riyadh Masters to fruition.
Also, the Esports World Cup qualifiers are underway for CS2 with one slot per region.

In a few minutes, Imperial Esports will have a rematch against MIBR for the SA qualifier, it'll be interesting if they can break MIBR's 19-win streak or if MIBR can extend it to 20. Tongue

I don't think that there's still future for him on this scene and he should just step away or go live stream and do some coaching to the pub gamers that he'd be useful with. Or, he can do casting, actually there's so much more for a professional esports player to go on if he doesn't any space anymore on any team because of the recent issues that he's involved with.
That's true, he burned a bridge with what he did, and from what I know he still streams his pub games (on Kick). Maybe he secured a streaming deal of some sort with them.

Get ready this summer for some new action on the dota2 scene! Cool
Yeah, this is the biggest in the history so far CMIIW. I've posted this on the other thread but it seems that our fellow dota 2 folks have already seen that without reacting in here and there.  Grin

Anyway, I just want to mention about Taiga's situation now that he's got kicked out of his latest team Leviatan and was replaced by Xepher. And as we all know, it's about his latest issue about 322 (let's mention this term again) for the first blood bets and he's betting on his own against being first blooded by the enemies. Unless there's a team that will still trust him and won't do shit against them for doing some bets. It's just sad that he'd became a part of those gambling syndicate that rotates somewhere in EEU but this isn't just rotating there because it's a global issue.

Get ready this summer for some new action on the dota2 scene! Cool

Im still waiting for the day that they will announce prizepool on Riyadh master. In case you dont know, this Riyadh Master series are tournament with highest prizepool aside from TI and yeah this is the cornerstone for the Esports World Cup. Last year they had $15M on this tournament alone and imagine how high will it be this year.

Aside from this tournament on July, we are going to have ESL One Birmingham and another dreamleague for dota2 so thats alot of EPT points up for grabs in case a team wants to be part of the invited teams on Riyadh Master so there will be alot of action for sure

Your prayer has been granted. Congratulations to Xtreme Gaming for winning this Elite League and they're going to come home with the prize of the champion worth $300k.
After going down on the first map, they started forming better drafts against Team Falcons. Even though Team Falcons lost, they still made it spicy with the all chats, and it was a bit satisfying to see Xtreme Gaming have their revenge, like taking down the final boss.
It was actually one of the best grand finals that I've seen. We need more of these trashtalks in the chat to add spice to every game that they play. That wasn't personal and it's just all about pride and getting into their heads but will have to go out once the game ended. Many have counted for the falcons to win the finals but XG was good in their drafts and bans. One big contributor might be their coach, it's first time to see this name but looking at his profile "Maps" he has coached a lot of teams before and even Azure Ray.

Hopefully, they won't lose momentum in the upcoming tournament and have a potential rematch.
They've made the China Dota Community active again and also redeemed that Chinese Dotes is still one of the best regions and teams globally.

You know what I think +2.5 for XG was around 1.5 or something after the 1st map. Dang, it seems the bookies were also underestimating XG but due to their wins, I guess bookies are enjoying profit from all Falcons bettors huh. I mean its logical that most people picked Falcons given that they were so much better compared to the whole team that participated in Elite League

They even won with huge gold lead at the end of the 1st map but yeah Its Ame that really changed the whole team. This guy literally carried xG for sure
Yeah, I somewhat recall the odds close to that since Team Falcons -2.5 was like 2.80 while I tried to add -1.5 on my betslip. It is what it is, XG came prepared, and Team Falcons got outdrafted.

It's time to hold on to our bankrolls for next week as we'll have two ESL tournaments kicking off in the same week and on the weekend we'll have the LPL finals between BLG and TES. That series will be a banger and the last big match until MSI.

Thats what Im hoping they will pull on the final though, straight 3-0 for Falcons and no questions needed for this bet.
I had -1.5 on Team Falcons thinking it was the safest leg in my parlay. This loss might be a sign to go small or skip online matches in the future.  Tongue

Praying that Falcons won't win today ELITE League finals because that will simply kill Dota 2 pro scene for me.
Your prayer has been granted. Congratulations to Xtreme Gaming for winning this Elite League and they're going to come home with the prize of the champion worth $300k. I've watched the 4th game and it was too easy for Xtreme Gaming. That void pick of skitter didn't prosper and did a lot of mistake of timewalking in and then getting the static storm with aghanims and that's easy kill for the XG.
And since in the past match of these two teams, XG tipped Ammar and then Ammar did retaliate of saying 'ggez' and a smiley from both of them and malrine "Smiley". Now, that XG has won, they've trashtalked them in the chat saying the same thing and that seems to be an easy 3-1 for the XG. Congratulations to them once again and they will meet again on the upcoming ESL One Birmingham so, they'll have some actions in the chat once again in England after a week.

Praying that Falcons won't win today ELITE League finals because that will simply kill Dota 2 pro scene for me. We had Spirit who simply dominated an entire year during pandemic and we said " Ok , this is nice " , then we had last year with Gaiming Gladiators who simply dominated all of 2023 in a manner that made most of the fans hate this team and also their players and I can't blame the Dota 2 fans because watching someone dominating in esports for an entire year is simply hard to digest but also to engage into Majors and tournaments knowing who is already going to win. Now , we started 2024 with Falcons dominating everything so far and if this year is a repeat of last year with Gaiming , I think we can fairly say that Valve knew that they were doing when they decided to let go on so many majors and tournament.

This is not esports for me ...this is just esports entertaining where everything seems scripted or the patch releases are heavily in favor of some certain teams which makes this game super unfair. Hopefully Xtreme Gaming will win this tournament and save Dota 2 pro scene.

Im sweating right now because Falcons just threw away 10k gold lead after they secured like 24k gold advantage. Thats huge but they are still in the lead but yeah I hope they pull the first map off. I kinda noticed that most of the time they will win everything when map 1 goes smoothly for them

Huge Huge playoff match tomorrow in LCK playoffs as HLE replay vs T1 in the finals

They sweeped T1 3-0 just a few days ago yet they are still 2x odds

I think its a very generous price for bettors to take HLE, might even rise to 2.1 before start/LIVE

Well well, i was wrong and T1 turn up much better today.
Maybe it was my anti T1 bias leaning towards HLE,

Well they are 2.2 odds tomorrow against Geng and thats a much better price than HLE today, surely chovy cant carry another series right ?? Shocked

Gaimin Gladitors started their journey with a 2-0 but Tundra Esports surprisingly lost against PSG.Quest but I am not saying that they're strong not to lose but Quest is also a strong team and they've proven that in the past tournaments. It's now PSG.Quest and XG while for the Gaimin Gladiators, it's not yet final but there's now a 1-1 score for Team Liquid and Azure Ray and whoever losses there will go to the lower bracket and will be against GG and the team that wins will face Falcons in the semi finals.
I forgot they always swap the teams that get knocked down to the lower bracket, and now it's more than possible for Gaimin Gladiators to go on a deep run unless Team Liquid prepares a better draft.
Yeah, and they're going to face each other again on the lower bracket. But before that happens, we've got the XG versus PSG.Quest and XG takes the game 1 and looks like they're going to win game 2 as well. So, with this, it's likely that Xtreme Gaming gets to move on to the next lower bracket phase while eliminated PSG.Quest. And whoever wins with Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators is going to be the team that will meet XG on the next phase. I'm saying the word "likely" because the game hasn't ended yet at 36 minutes but the entire base of PSG.Quest has already been destroyed and they're on the mega creeps already. So after this, 2 more matches one is with the GG and TL and then goes to the upper bracket of AR and Team Falcons. The end is near for this Elite league and I can't wait so that we move on to the ESL Birmingham.

I had high hopes for Liquid to finally win a tournament but once again they let us the fans down by being eliminated with a quick 2-1 from Azure Ray.
Well, they're like in the grand finals in the lower bracket. Remember when it's always been Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators in the finals?

Now, they're going to have that match. A do or die match on the lower bracket and that's crucial for both teams but it's always like GG always wins at the end.

Well not for G2.IG for sure and I didnt expect GG to beat the 2-0 up. I guess GG is back onto their playoff mode? they rarely dissapoint in playoff though but Im not really expecting them to be able to get to the final considering that the current upper bracket teams are pretty dominant

Anyway, got my bet on Falcons to win 2-0. If they dont troll then they should be able to take this 2-0 up
That's a question they have to prove for the next few series. I don't want to get my hopes up since we've seen Gaimin Gladiators always start strong in the playoffs before struggling in the next series.

Congrats on your Team Falcons map handicap bet. They might go on to win the tournament without dropping a map in the playoffs.  Tongue

Also fair to say that AR played way better than Liquid when it came to team fights , cordonation , execute spells into a team fights , using bkbs and other items so pretty much AR eclipsed Liquid in all the aspect of a Dota 2 game which is insane. Same goes for Falcons who are playing god like Dota 2 right now and I doubt anyone can stop them until a new big patch rolls out from Valve. Cool

It's interesting that two good teams are found in the lower bracket, Gaimin Gladiators and Tundra Esports, do you think that one of them will have a cinderella lower bracket story making it to the finals?
Gaimin Gladiators have a good road to the finals assuming they face XG, and I expect the opposite on Tundra as they could be the first team that can get eliminated from the playoffs.

Then again the Chinese teams are on a roll right now and I think they have the better chance at grabbing that final spot from the lower bracket.
G2.IG was the first to get out, there are still 2 teams left. XG and AR but they're always good and each tournament always has some chinese teams that are participating. I've read somewhere that the chinese fans community are complaining on how ESL has decided to let OG replace the spot of 1win for that tournament and they're saying instead of OG, it should be a chinese team but honestly, I don't get the point as the region is far from them and it doesn't make sense.  Grin

Impressive run winning seven matches in a row during this competition before Fluxo finally managed to win one later in the day.
Their current record for the challenger league is also impressive with only 2 losses out of 16 matches played. They're probably halfway through locking one of the top two spots for the Pro League S20.
