Maybe it's because of the reduced direct invites, even though BOOM Esports has been getting a few top 5 finishes in some big tournaments. The same goes for the SEA region, they're generous to allocate two slots when Aurora is the only team that can keep up with the rest.

On the bright side, we'll likely see the three best China teams (G2.IG and Azure Ray) with XG already having an invite.

Instead of giving 2 slots to SA's team, they should just split one up and give it up to NA instead. I think NA teams are being leftout because they gave it to SA. Well this of course is my personal opinion on this but obviously Im happy that atleast Nigma make it to the  WEU qualifiers through direct invite. Phew I actually thought that they would have to go through open qualifiers as they havent really win anything lately or even placed up high on tournaments

Mouz biggest flukers of Cs2 ? They win a major , get that nr1 spot of Cs2 team and then out of nowhere , dropped a game against 9Z and last night G2 schooled them in best of 3 maps where I saw a face of G2 where they can reach finals as long as Stewie2k will have another great run. Right now , I'm watching VP and it looks like a comeback from VP should happened because BIG is a lucky team who don't really have massive talent within team.

Big surprise today with Heroic beating NaVi 2-0 send them back home to de_airport hahah

I watched TNC's match against Salvation gaming on the open qualifiers of Riyadh Masters in the SEA region. It seems from the round 32, they never had any problems at all or shown that they've struggle. Tomorrow, they'll be against the Yangon Galacticos, it's a tier 2 or 3 team and I think that this team might be able to stop them. But who knows, the recent match of TNC was good but I don't know why I am not impressed at all.

Maybe it's because that most of the teams that are on this open qualifiers aren't really strong at all. But on the closed qualifiers for which, either TNC or YG will be going, that's where the actual fights and hard matches are going to come. Most of the tier 1 and tier 2 teams in the SEA are there like Aurora and Talon. It will be composed of 8 teams. So, to give the list, here are the participating teams for the closed qualifiers.

  • Blacklist International
  • Aurora
  • Bleed Esports
  • IHC esports
  • Talon Esports
  • Execration
  • Neon Esports

And lastly, whoever wins with the best of 3 series of TNC and Yangon Galacticos.

Anyway, South America and China has two slots of qualifier available for them. Dang, I can understand that China generate lot of views if their teams get to TI and yeah teams on this regions are good but totally no hate on SA region but I just cant understand their reasoning on this

I wonder why there is no MENA, maybe because there's already Team Falcons? or it's still a young region and not that much competition there.
There's no MENA because it's Valve handing out the invites, and the MENA teams back then were always under the WEU region. It only became a thing after the third-party tournaments started allocating slots for that region.
I see and that's why Nigma is there, I just realized that it was ESL that had managed to MENA and not Valve. I am looking at teams and I think that there's not that much pressure on NA. I remember Dendi tried to get into the qualifiers there but they didn't managed to get in. IIRC, they've played in Ukraine and still participated on that region. Will he do the same thing again together with his team? Anyway, I am sure that everyone is going to agree that he's past his prime together with other great legends, they just need some pat on their backs.

Did your favorite team got in?
It's good to see Team Liquid in there, but I doubt they'll have what it takes to win it all. The best case I can imagine is probably them making it to the grand finals.  Tongue
They're strong but they always fall short on every tournament they join but yes, I am happy to see them as well there.

Well probably next year after this next Riyadh Master tournament, Valve no longer would be able to bat an eye on MENA region already. I mean this region is getting bigger nowadays so there is really no reason for Valve to skip them

But from what I remember FaZe clan had been struggling in the last past tournaments and are not in their best form anymore. From what I recall Team Liquid had been looking good as of late.
That's true and it's also why FaZe is currently ranked second in the HLTV rankings. Team Liquid somewhat improved their form only because they participated in the CCT Global Finals and that tournament only had a few good teams.

Well, they didn't got nerfed.

They still have proved themselves to be the kings this time.
The patch only gave them more options due to the new meta heroes becoming another problem. Also, they didn't allow Storm Spirit to end up in Gaimin Gladiator's hands throughout the series after that previous one-sided win from the upper final.

With DreamLeague finishing earlier today, we still have the IEM Dallas scheduled next. Looking at the matchup for Group A we could get a Vitality vs Mouz rematch while for Group B Team Spirit vs Navi could be an interesting matchup for the next round if Navi doesn't disappoint.

Looking forward to the next Intel Extreme Masters tournament but Dallas has been hit by storms during the past week.
Just hope this doesn't affect this event in any sort of way. It probably isn't in the same area but some other sporting events have been postponed due to the human death toll in the entire state.

Dang I havent been following cs2 for a while and aside from Team Vitality and MOUZ, idk what else to pick for BSFL question, probably FAZE huh for B 1st place. NAVI seems like a good pick for B 1st place as well, dang Im so confused with this bracket

Anyway I just noticed that we have tier2 dota2 tournament as well and Nigma is playing in it. Well I know that most teams are probably trying crazy heropool to make out the best practice out of this new patch but I just cant believe it that Nigma has won two games already lol
Same here. Just got back on a well deserved respite from spending time in CR over the memorial day weekend.
So just getting back into the mix of it all.

I also didn't know there was an ongoing online tournament for Dota and they even got a few good teams.
There is, and that's the FISSURE Universe. 8 teams are participating this tournament, not that much of a prize but this is a good tournament for these teams to test the new patch and if they have some experiments to be done.

If Nigma Galaxy can beat OG during the playoffs it's probably their tournament to win.
Fortunately, both of them are already waiting at the upper bracket in the playoffs but they are not on the same bracket. They're both waiting for the decider matches to come to determine their opponents.

Just in: Valve just announced the 6 teams that got a direct invite in the The International 2024.

Did your favorite team got in?

The regional qualifiers are gonna happen soon and these are the slots for each of them.
WEU - 2 slots
EU - 1 slot
China - 2 slots (it means that three China teams are going to participate on this TI and Valve does really love this region.)
SEA - 2 slots
NA - 1 slot
SA - 2 slot

I wonder why there is no MENA, maybe because there's already Team Falcons? or it's still a young region and not that much competition there.

Those four teams are already on my prediction list for the BSFL question, but we might have to change our prediction if Mouz doesn't survive in the lower bracket today.

They sure their opponent's heroes and that's why they have to stop that for their own advantage.

While it's true that this patch, many have thought that they will be nerfed but it's the other way around. They're able to think more of it and how they can use that against GG.

GG to GG and GG to Team Falcons, LOL!

I understand most of the players if they're calling it Dota 3. It was the same when we've got new patch about the shrine and tormentor.

We all will adap it soon but this time, there are a lot of things to discover. This is for the sake of meta and those that are strong, we will see if they remain strong for this new patch and update.

What is funny on this patch is about magnus reverse reverse polarity, to which hero its ultimate will be comboed with? puck maybe?

We are just 50% of the Crownfall event so expect a lot more changes until the event ends and just yesterday Valve had 2 patches for Dota where they balanced some spells , they changed some spells damage from some heroes but also improved qualify of ranked games.

I'm also loving the fact that Falcons finally got nerfed because without a strength meta heroes

this team is kinda awful in all categories even if they have insane mechanical skills...that won't help them in current meta.
Fans don't hate them because they're strong, they hate them because they're trashtalkers but no doubt they're in their prime now.

Meanwhile, two games on lower bracket tomorrow. Totally leaning towards BB and AR. I'll just go with straight winner and not mess this one up, I just hope my confidence wont knock my sock off this time
I think that AR got this and if they win the series against Heroic, they're going to face their co-Chinese team, XG.
-snip

Well they did but I was unhappy that Roobet actually nulified my one of my bets on my parlay. Im not sure if this is the case on all other bookies but what the heck was this

BB's bet was not marked as a win because AR 'forfeited' by default? thats insane, it should have been marked as a win. Not that it really going to change that much of my profit but its just silly
It should have been a win when BB's opponent forfeited the game. Actually, it was the admins of the game that forfeited the game and made BB win.

And it wasn't AR that forfeited the game, it was Aurora Esports. I'm not sure about the rules of most bookies about forfeited games because it's based on their rules or biases. But IMHO, it should be a win for BB since the series ended up with a 2-1.

Another final with Falcons winning 3-0 but this time it was against Gaiming Gladiators who didn't manage to win a single map besides the fact that they picked Wraith King in 2 maps ( the most broken hero of current patch ) and yet couldn't win. I'm personally tired of Falcons already and hopefully they will not continue this streak because the fans were unhappy today with current situation of Dota 2 and how only 3 teams manage to reach finals and only one of them is winning...so yea , Dota 2 should be a game of variety and not dedicated for just 1 team when they make a new patch.

Recently, Dota 2 released a huge update 7.36 that changed the game incredibly much.
Many jokingly call it Dota 3, or say that it was possible to designate this update as 7.40: it is so large-scale.

Each such update greatly changes the balance, and I am sure that the bookmakers are reviewing the odds on the teams, because not every gaming team will be able to easily adapt to the changes that have occurred.

Its insane, how they can just change the game this much, if this happened in any other MOBA everyone would lose their minds,
However its a regular thing in dota now, its gets more complicated just when u think u understand it  Grin
Yeah, it's just a regular patch for Dota 2. Valve knows how to make things crazy when it's already crazy and there's always been the meme about that Dota 2 is still in beta version. LOL funny. So, as this relates to Valve and this patch has been making rounds on the web, I'll try to play a couple of heroes and will find out what's interesting on it because we have no option but this is going to be a permanent update for this patch unless there will be new release for some bug fix. Going back with Valve, have you seen this rumor[1]?

[1] Rumour: Microsoft is preparing an offer of $16B for Valve

I hope that Gaben won't allow this to happen, I know that Gaben and his gang needs to make money but Microsoft touching Valve and surely will the other games will be, this is going to be effin f for the entire Dota 2, CS2 and other communities that are handled by Valve.
