Did not watch that many games on this tournament but this one was by far the best so far that I watched. It sort feels fair that each team won one of those close long maps with Ancient rush. I am also sure TA does not agree with this statement, they looked gutted when match finished.

Liquid is just pushing as far as possible so that Matumbaman can't retire, they wanna milk him as much as possible Smiley

I’m not updated on Agent M retirement plan but is he staying if they did manage to be a champion on this TI? I really think they can manage to beat anyone on the top 4 remaining teams since they have the momentum. I believe they can do a revenge match against Aster and beat Tundra on lower bracket finals just to sweep Secret on the grand finals.  Cheesy

This is what I’m thinking for the possible outcome because Team Liquid is really on fire now since all them is doing there part during crucial time.

I read that he is happy retiring no matter what the result in TI is, so I think he is serious about retiring. It would be a great send-off if they would be able to win the TI. And it is a great journey as well. Coming from the Last Chance Qualifier and ending in the top 4 of TI is already a great achievement. Considering a few weeks ago they are not even qualified for TI yet and have to battle it out in LCQ. If they win this, it will be epic.

It would be nice if the two LCQ qualifiers meet in the Finals. Team Secret is quite strong right now and they are quite a favorite against Tundra. So, they may be the first to take the Finals. Team Liquid will have a harder path through but still doable. After their epic performance today, I am sure they will be hyped facing Aster on their next series. And that momentum may pushed them to take the Finals slot.

Agent M is one of my favorite carry and also my nightmare if I’m betting on the team against them. He still got the moves and definitely still on prime. I wonder what’s the deciding factor for him to decide that he will retire while he still on his prime with a great team mate.

I have a goosebumps on there recent much against TA and I really feel that they can beat all odds against base on there performance. They never lose hope no matter how hard there situation in the game. This is the quality that Team Spirit show before when they get there TI win. I will choose Liquid over Secret if they are the one will face on the Grand finals.

With 4 teams being known now, who do you guys favor in taking it all ? I do stick with Secret until the end. Grin
I'm also leaning on Team Secret, I like the way they're pulling out flex picks that surprisingly work in their favor and I don't think any team would have any answer against them. And it's interesting that their odds against Tundra next week are set at 50-50 by the bookies.

Yup, I think he mentioned that he doesn't enjoy the game anymore that's why he's set on retiring plus he already won TI before with Kuro back then.

Yeap , this was the best so far at TI and man , I've lost my voice in 1st and 3rd game with those massive comebacks  Shocked. With Liquid moving on facing Aster , we are having a retiring game right here with both Matu and Monet announcing their retirement so I'm expecting a huge game from both teams with Liquid having the upper hand and most likely will move to face either Secret or Tundra.

I will stick with Team Secret as well. They have never faltered yet. If they take down Tundra, they will be well rested going to the finals. Those coming from the lower bracket will have a harder time because they would go to the finals tired from the previous series.

What a first game between Liquid and Thunder Awaken, still not over with lead switching all the time. Liquid closer to taking it at the moment and they looked already beaten in first 20 minutes. Then again later on TA tried to end the game early before taking all outer defenses and Liquid just managed to defend it.

I need Liquid win for my ticket so I am hoping this will be enough for them to take it.

Aster kicking PSG out of the tournament much easier than I anticipated. I had Aster +1.5 but never thought it will be that easy.

It feels like I am watching the Finals of TI 11 already in this series. Up to the last minute, you will never know who will win in this series. Thunder Awaken in game 1 pushed through the tier 4 tower and the Ancient is exposed but Team Liquid did the impossible and pushed back. They even made a comeback, took the lead and was so near to finish the game in their favor but then again Thunder Awaken caught them off guard and wiped them without buy backs. And since the ancient was exposed earlier, it was free for the taking.

The same happened in Game 3. Team Liquid got the early lead with Lesh snowballing. But Thunder Awaken turned everything around and was able to take two lanes of barracks. They got the rosh, refresher on Enigma who has BKB. Meaning double BKB and Blackhole. And in unexpected turn of events, I do not know if it by luck of Liquid or a curse to South American teams, but those two blackhole was rendered useless when both blackholes were stopped by bashes. It should have been a clear wipeout if those blackholes were not interrupted. But it was and that was what Team Liquid needed to turn thing around and win the game. I was just watching but I am exhausted with how the lead turns back and forth and how many times Liquid defended their Ancient.

If that series was the Finals, I am fully satisfied. But it is not so I am expecting more from this tournament.

Astralis - Heroic matchup is going to be really important. Because the winner is qualifying for BLAST Premier Fall Final.

Astralis have been the most surprising team of this qualification tournament. While I was waiting for them to be eliminated by Vitality they even got past them also. Actually there were clear weaknesses in their performance but somehow Vitality lost to them anyway. I wonder if Vitality players had some concentration problems. On the other hand, HEROIC seem to be more determined than them to be the winner of the tournament. Astralis will face a real challenge this time and it feels like they will fail also. HEROIC are better than Astralis on most of the maps too:

Astralis won the Vitality match. Honestly, I was surprised that they lost when vitality was so good. Zywoo did his best but they played badly as a team. Astralis won with better team play and made it to the finals.
In north america tournament evil geniuses played fluxo. The score was 1-1 and it went to the decider map. I think EG will win the decider and eliminate their opponent.
Astralis vs Heroic today and both teams are from Denmark. A Denmark or Copenhagen derby? Going to be an interesting match. As you said, Astralis upset the tide and beat Vitality. This was after they lost a spot to go to Rio Major so it was a nice result. At least, it shows they clearly intend to change from that low. Also, inferno was the best map for both Astralis and Heroic. It was like you weren't a Denmark team without at best at inferno. Odd is completely for Heroic win and I don't think that was fair. 1.4 for Heroic vs 2.9 to 3.4.

Just a question, why is beastcoast not in the stage? On c_smile is on stage. Funny comment from caster while on game, "C smile is all alone. Alone on the stage and in the game."

I think Beastcoast members except for C_smile were having symptoms of covid, hence why he's with teddy bears and stuff on the TI stage, same scenario with RNG.

I suspected that much but I just want to confirm it here. Is Covid protocol over there too lux that a few players are getting covid? It is hard to win if you are far apart from your team.

This TI, outplaying is not enough. It's the draft that matters. Lots of times Beastcoast managed to outplay LGD and clean them out on teamfights but Ame still managed to get the best of Bc because they lack the physical defense (Halberd, AC, Shiva) against a Sven that is basically 7-slotted even though they are ahead of the game.

Once Sven got his timing, he is basically one stun one hitting most of the beastcoast heroes. They are just paper to Sven. MOst of the time, the one that got a better draft win. I think I am yet to see a countered draft and win.

Team Liquid sent home OG on their series. They won convincingly on both maps, 2-0. It is a sweep this time. Team Liquid is not letting Matu retire yet and they are squishing every DOTA game they can get for Matu. They will have their next series against Thunder Awaken in about 3 hours. They secured top 6 and will now fight for the top 4.

PSG.LGD and Beastcoast right now. Currently 1-1 and game 3 is a nail biter. Beastcoast showing that they can go toe to toe against what the world considers as number 1 team right now. The Elder Titan pick somewhat disrupted LGD's draft, because I think they intended that Sven to just go shard and hide behind Lesh or another carry. They are forced to give the Sven to Ame against a Batrider and it's not pretty to look at. Good thing is, they are still somewhat able to salvage lots of team fights that should have been one-sided in favor of Beastcoast.

My +1.5 Beastcoast pick for today is looking great. 2.63 odds is not too shabby!

EDIT: Oh well, after I submitted this post, Ame just cleaned 3 cores from BC. Way to jinx my own predictions Grin

Actually game one was very smooth not until they manage to have lousy drafting with the BC it is not ideal draft because they pick void and get countered with the Axe of Fate bian and also with the last game they give the IO Sven and Lesh to the LGD actually I bet with the BC too because there's a potential also have a good odds but yeah LGD deserve to win and lose my bet at the same time lol.

Yeap. Beastcost did won a map on PSG and I didn't expect it but PSG made a comeback if we keep it real because BC could have won map 2 as well and it was all over for PSG at that point. However, teamfight execution from PSG was flawless and that's how they managed to win game 2 but also game 3. Shocked

It is already a win on your bet since it is +1.5. Beastcoast just need a win in order for you to win. Congrats.

Game 3 was thrilling. There is no big advantage in net worth on both sides until the wipeout from PSG.LGD happened. LGD never looked back since then and just continued the pressure on BC. They were very disciplined and even when they had the chance to push the ancient, they decided to push to instead and secure Mega creeps. They did not give beast coast a chance for a comeback. PSG.LGD secured the top 6. They will face Team Aster later after the OG vs Team Liquid series.

Who the heck are IKLA, they won it. Ukraine team, recognise none of them sorry.  Its requiring much caution when betting in these increasingly minor matches and tournament, seems the team play for practise more then advance perhaps.  Tired, maybe trying new strats not certain but glad I did not try to guess this match result personally.

Eternal Fire have won no matches on Mirage for months, that simple fact when known to the enemy makes the overall series harder to win when they are forced lose 1 of the map picks for some reason the team dislikes one of the most popularly chosen maps.

In the cct tournament, tricked managed to defeat spirit. Honestly, I didn't expect such a performance from tricked, and maybe the loss of a valuable team like spirit on a map of their choice led to the loss of this match. When I look at the scores, there is no player that stands out. In fact, I see that tricked players are worse in terms of score. I think it was lost with small mistakes.
Eternal fire brought the situation 1-1. But he is now 8-0 behind on the dust2 map.

Later this day, it will be a very hard match between Team Liquid and OG. Up until now I cannot gauge who of these two will remain victorious in the end. Liquid literally trashed OG back in the group stages, but OG somewhat bared their fangs against Team Liquid however it isn't sharp enough to do much damage against the said team. Liquid's play is still as composed and as organized as possible whereas OG relies on the explosiveness of bzm or Yuragi in the early game in order to make the mid game be in their favor.

OG +1.5 will be my pick, although I'm also inclined to get Liquid +1.5 since the latter is a more viable option than the former based on recent results. I might watch it live and take other lines but for now, I'm inclined to take OG just for YOLO.

I say the match between OG and Liquid is a toss-up and either team can win this. I like to bet on OG on this one but if I am going to play it safe, I go with over 2.5 maps. I am sure this match will go the distance since no one from this team wants to go home early especially Liquid since it is Matu's last TI. They would want to go as far as possible for Matu.

On the side of PSG.LGD vs Beastcoast, the logical choice is to get PSG.LGD as the series winner however Beastcoast is showing a lot of crazy dota recently that it's hard to just ignore what they can do. I'll probably just place a bet on Beastcoast to win the series with small amount. Getting some out-of-the-box picks sure seemed to be the theme of TI11.

I would still go for PSG.LGD experience though. It is already time-tested though they had a tough time lately. They started weak in the group stage and lost their first match in Main Event. But they always bounce back. It is just BO3 so I am not afraid that LGD will win this one. Anyway, on the off chance that BC wins, your small bet will still win since it will be x4.

Team Secret and Tundra just need a win to get into the Finals. Team Secret against Tundra will be an epic match but we still have to wait a week before we see them play.

Tundra's drafts are more on the comfort lane style compared to Secret's counter the enemy style. Both are extremely great in reading the map and making plays, and I think it's the draft that will matter on their fight next week. I'll go all in for Secret here given that Puppey has the experience and the brains to get the better drafts against Tundra.

If it is counterplay, then it will be in favor of Team Secret. They have Puppey who is a genius in drafting plus they have at least 6 days of rest and time to study all the possible picks of Tundra. Well, everything starts with a good draft, and sometimes you can win with just a perfect draft alone. And Puppey will surely take advantage of his superiority over Tundra.

Last 4 games for tomorrow before we have a break for close to a week (?) Idk if this is correct but whats with the 1 week break though

I was actually surprised too to see that it will have a 6-day break before proceeding to the Finals. I am aware that the playoffs and finals will take place in a different location, but I am not aware if the schedule was changed or not. Maybe somebody here will enlighten us about this one because the break is very anti-climactic.

Hopefully they will have an enclosed booth for the Players in Singapore Indoor Stadium so the issues in SunTec about the casters being heard by the players will be eliminated.
