And of course Tundra won 2:0 against OG, to kill our tickets before they properly started. Did not watch this one cause it was in the middle of the night for me bit 2:0 is again quite unexpected for me.

Lower bracket is now full of top teams, will be interesting to see who survives.

Another wild day in SEA TI. Cheesy

All upsets were 2-0, with no mercy at all. Good thing I controlled myself from betting today because I felt like the trend continues. I just broke my curse after my Entity win over RNG yesterday. I hope Last Qualifier Liquid will make an upset too over Aster to complete a whole upper-bracket upset.

The only team I might bet on today is Liquid if it losses to Aster. I felt like RNG could've won if they were in a room together with better communication. Entity nearly lost it many times and it took them nearly 2 hours to finally break RNG's base. But maybe that victory raised their morale for their games today. But I'm happy I watched it live online the longest DOTA 2 game in TI.

I was wrong, it is painful to see them leave this early, but Boom was surprisingly resilient in keeping their ticket alive. They just keep on denying the odds. Others are right when they said is Boom is strong against top teams and they prove it today.
Boom's lineup was just better overall and Team Spirit's draft was lacking in counter initiation so they're just trying to avoid 5v5 team fights most of the game until the high-ground siege.

I felt bad for EG for choosing Thunder Awaken only to be trashed by the SA team.
I also didn't expect EG to lose but they played somewhat sloppy getting caught in a bad position multiple times by TA's supports which slowly destroyed their lead and momentum.

Who's feeling sad about the lost of RNG?
Losing a very long game feels bad for sure and it sucks that covid made their situation worse since they're cruising at the start of the groups.

Not sure there is any need to feel sorry for the guy, anyone who made the top levels of DOTA is a rich man.     I guess its more then money, there is the competitive spirit of course I realize but still man is doing just fine, hope he finds a similar passion and is happy 'retired'

Another uncrowned king is going to retire for Dota 2, and it is Somnus. Too sad that they didn't end well for this TI and sad to see him go, he posted this on his weibo account.

Although their last game was interesting and hyped against Entity but that's burnt them out and having contracted with the covid virus, it's truly hard to proceed to the next stage.
Yes, its sad that well known names and a great player do retire on pro scene.
Lets attached up some links for that https://afkgaming.com/dota2/news/somnus-seemingly-announces-his-retirement-from-pro-dota-2-after-ti11-exit

He posted, "My youth is destined to have regrets and hard feelings, right? Thank you all for your concern and encouragement. My youth is over.”

Since LGD times, i do always being impressed on how Somnus plays strong on his role.He might not able to
get some TI but he's been respected and known by the entire dota 2 community.

I like your OG pick and I will play it also, those odds look a bit too good. Safer tip is of course OG +1.5 @1.38 which does not pay that much but should be free money

Not so sure about Liquid, they should win but I am leaning towards taking Aster +1.5 @1.47. After all the surprises today, underdogs look way better to me.

The odds for Aster +1.5 is pretty close to Liquid to win so I guess I'll take that one as well. I probably would've gone for over 2.5 maps but the last two upper bracket ended up with 2 maps so I kinda ditch that idea

Later on I am taking EG and LGD to win 2:0. Good odds and I can't believe we would loose either of them in this stage of the tournament.

Totally unsure about LGD 2-0 though because Boom won their last game against Team Spirit so I thought taking +1.5 on Boom @1.58 is not really a bad idea I guess

Today is just another wild day in TI as heavy favorites EG and LGD got dropped to the lower bracket by TA and Secret.

I kinda get that Team Secret is way better than what they used to be and there is a good chance that they could win against PSG.LGD but I honestly have no clue on why EG lost though. EG was on top of the group stage and they were pretty impressive so I wouldnt even have the slightest doubt about them not winning against a SA region team

This is just your yearly EG on TI. Beast in groupstages, and mediocre on the main stage. How many seasons have we proved this anyway? 4? 5? Can't even remember. They always fall prey to other relatively 'weaker' teams in the main stage, and I kinda expected it, hence I never tried to bet on them even if the odds look crazily good on their favor. Typical EG TI curse, and it will continue for ages until one of them leaves the team.

Complexity and BIG were huge surprises today and I bet that many people lost their bets because of them. Complexity lost to Sharks which were at the 167th position in the world rankings. It was even a 2-0 defeat. I don't know what's wrong with Complexity now because they were successful in a much bigger tournament recently. They were fighting hard against even top tier teams. BLAST Premier is one of the most prestigious tournaments and it is the end of the road for them.

BIG are also out now due to losing 2-1 to Sangal. Sangal are one of the teams on the rise for months actually but they were still not a better team than BIG anyway. BIG had very special players and even syrsoN was enough to make a big difference. But BIG were still not able to leave their bad days behind and there was still gaps in their performance as a team. Sangal did a great work here by beating a team near top 10. I wonder when BIG will be able to bring back their old days. After this elimination I guess their ranking would drop a little more.

It was a really big surprise to see that Sangal were able to eliminate BIG by 2-1.

I was among the people who thought that it would be a comfortable win for BIG. Because I remember their last head-to-head before this one. It ended by BIG's huge win and it happened in the same month also. But seemingly there is a big development in Sangal team now. I really liked them on Inferno especially. Vertigo was a quite competitive one but Sangal still managed to defeat them by an OT (19-16). Sangal's opponent is going to be HEROIC most probably. This even a tougher matchup and I assume HEROIC would be the winner. But Sangal still did better than Eternal Fire here that's for sure.

In addition to that ScrunK's clutch with M4A1-S on Dust2 was really impressive: https://clips.twitch.tv/SweetBovineSalamanderTriHard-5RlfGVfGRxoWz_pO?tt_content=url&tt_medium=clips_api

Sangal 2 BIG 1. Good win from Sangal They were very comfortable on the Inferno map. They actually had good momentum on the dust2 map, but Syrson wouldn't let that happen. Sangal team played a very silly game in the 24th round on the dust2 map. In the 1v3 position, Tabsen dropped the long player, the other two players decided to return to b, but they could not calculate the time and Big won this round, interesting game from the Sangal. A mistake was made that should not have been made in the pro match and this mistake made the map lost. BIG generally cannot do well on maps where they cannot use Syrson effectively, such as Vertigo and Inferno on small maps.
I thought Syrson played very well. He did more than his best. He only missed a couple of extra shots, but other than that he played perfectly. K1to was ineffective today as usual. If K1to could have contributed as a frag, big could have played better and won. Sangal played better as a team and won. If you give a comeback from 15-10, losing may be inevitable for you.

Sangal defeated big to reach the semifinals.  Both teams took the map they picked and extended the match to the decider map. The decider map was vertigo and sangal came back from 15-10 to win 16-19. They had a really good comeback and I can say that they played the overtime in a good way without any stress. Congratulations to Sangal and his team, good luck in the semifinals.

Today one of the biggest matches happen between the Boom vs the Team Spirit, the boom manage to remove the former TI Champion in this game and they got easily drafted with this lifestealer game the SEA crowd right now in the hype to make another history in this game I guess EG will have a good time here because they are already secured in the upper bracket and give the chance to Boom to make another fight and of course the Boom shows that they well deserve to be part of the game, also right now one of the saddest story is the LGD goes down in the lower bracket.

That was a really surprising outcome to me and i would guess that a lot of people have lost their bet here. It looked quite ok for Team Spirit for the first 20 minutes or so but then everything went into the direction of Boom and then the players of Team Spirit just were to nervous and felt to many pressure and could not turn the game around anymore.
This just proves again that the competition in the Dota pro scene is extremely high and that basically every team is able to beat even the biggest favorites. Also the best of 1 format in the first round also makes big upsets more likely then a best of 3 series. Boom now against PSG.LGD, i doubt that they can eliminate another favorite.

Expected a bit more from Team Spirit, did not think we would loose them on first day of knockout stages. Second biggest surprise after EG for me.
I did not expect it as well, but it is what it is. Boom is just giving their all to stay alive in this tournament.

The exit interview of Mira is so sad. The team has not recovered yet from Russia's attack, and they lose their confidence. That is maybe they are very shaky this year, especially in TI.

132K Gold lead for Entity at some point ...with a Game time of 107:02  Shocked The longest Dota 2 game in history of TI. Now , I don't think there is a counter draft to Zoo Draft , right ? I mean Underlord with Lesh and ES are kinda the entire hero pool that counters that draft and yet these 3 heroes were not enough...so I was thinking maybe Seer should have been instead of Lich ? Because he could have scale towards a carry-support in this game. Then we had AA from Entity with 2 Rapiers....like wow and wtf on the same time because we know AA is mega scary with dmg and aghs on it but also double edge item in an elimination game. For me this was the best game so far as a single mistake could have cost you the game. Shocked
Damn, sounds like I missed a historic one Smiley Never seen something like that so maybe this will be first time in my life to watch a replay of some Esports game, probably gonna skip over some parts, who has extra 107 minutes to loose, but I have to see that AA with double rapiers.

I missed that game as well. I was watching it but was not able to finish. Is that the longest game in TI history?

I watched the highlight and at some point, Underlord Fiend's Gate his whole team to break the ancient to force a win and they almost got it. They tried it multiple times but Entity was able to defend.

I guess the teddy bears do not want to go home yet but Entity sent them packing.

Eternal fire was eliminated from the cct south europe series after losing to websterz. The other team played very strange. I mean, it was like they were cheating and trying not to show it. It was always timing and like they knew. It seemed very strange to me that eternal fire lost to such a team. In 2 days the north europe matches start. They will do something different here.
