Team Liquid and Vitality ruined a lot of bets today. All of the favorites to win the matches today all lose.

That 15-7 lead that went to overtime that eventually resulted in a loss must be very painful. I was sure in pain watching it. They just needed a round, but they could not close it. Choke was real.

So that 2-0 win of Team Liquid against C9 in the group stage is not a fluke. They prove that they can really win against a stronger team. From round of 12 to the Grand Finals, what a cinderella story we got here. I think they are in a roll and could actually win the championship. What do you think guys?

Pressure got into them. You can tell how tense they were when the camera pans into them. M0nesy is hitting a lot of great shots but that isn't enough when the rest of your team is at a loss on what they're doing. He also missed some crucial shots as well that could have helped them extend their lead against Vitality. Pretty painful to watch it closed down like that a G2 fan. Imagine feeling excited with just 1 round away from winning and then all of a sudden, one full buy and a couple of rounds later G2 is struggling to find kills and penetrate the site.

G2 pretty much choke on this map eventhough they had few rounds lead already.
bloody G2 ffs! from 7-3 to 8-16 in the first map, and then from 15-7 to 15-15 in the 2nd... choke! dogshit tier csgo right there  Angry

they ruined my winning streak today, i'm still in profit though thanks to the football matches, but still, this one hurts

I was so optimistic that G2 might win the game and before the start of the overtime, I decided to take them to win on the 3rd one. I guess I was silly or dumb though. I was expecting G2 to bounce back especially after losing all those potential rounds on the overtime but I guess Vitality is just way better compared to bloody choke G2  Roll Eyes

Vitality put an end to G2's dream by a reassuring 2-0 win.

I was really surprised to see G2 eliminating NaVi and I understood why bookmakers showed them as the favourite against Vitality also. But it was still going to be a very challenging matchup for G2. It was really the case and Vitality were very impressive. First a solid win on Mirage and the final blow on Inferno by OT. m0NESY's took a huge responsibility on Inferno with 33 kills in total but it was still not enough for his team to equalize the series. Vitality played much more effectively as a team.

Now we have Vitality - Liquid in the grand final. Even though I see Vitality as the clear favourite they still need to play very carefully. Liquid are stronger than ever now and eliminating a tough opponent like Cloud9 must have boosted their morale even more. Concentration is key at this point. Vitality has 1.45 odd for the win and I'll add it to my parlay.

i saw MAD Lions moneyline @1.6 earlier today and i thought it was really good value but i didn't pull the trigger (too busy with football), now it's gone down to 1.4, and i still think it's too generous
I'd also take those odds on Mad Lions if I had the chance but for now, i'll just sit back and wait after drafts.
i don't feel like tempting faith after missing out on those odds earlier today so, that's enough for me today, gonna take it slow tonight and simply watch a few games. Let's see what Saigon Buffalo have in store for us.  EDIT*  just saw that Fnatic lost in the first match today. Wow

match just started and there's already a tech pause lol ESL pro league and Worlds are LAN events but there's been a shit ton of technical pauses, wth??  Grin

We are heading to the overtime though. I took the same bet as well and G2 pretty much choke on this map eventhough they had few rounds lead already. It was so close to win though and yikes, G2 just had to put a sweat for few more rounds on this bet huh

I was about to take a winner bet for the 3rd map if G2 ended up winning this
There goes our over tickets, from 15-7 to 16-19 after OT, an impressive comeback from Vitality to hold round after round and the momentum just kept on going. After that series, Vitality would probably come out as the favorites in the grand finals.

So, the semifinals are set C9 vs Liquid and G2 vs Vitality. Which teams do you think will come out at the top?

The first finalist is already determined which is Liquid. It was really impressive to see them defeating Cloud9 one more time in an even more critical matchup by 2-1. Actually Liquid could have finished the job on Ancient already after ending the first half 12-3 ahead. However Cloud9's superb 13-1 CT performance kept their hopes alive temporarily. YEKINDAR was again impressive and had a big role in the win on Dust2 by 26 frags also. It's been a dream journey for Liquid but let's see if they will make it to the championship.

Their opponent in the finale is almost determined as Vitality are close to winning by 2-0. When I saw the odds first I was also surprised and decided to give a chance to Vitality @2.17. They have been showing a really incredible performance against G2 so far. After eliminating NaVi bookmakers showed G2 as a very clear favourite but it was too prejudiced. They shouldn't have underestimated Vitality as they are one of the best teams these days.

I think it's going to be Cloud9 - G2 in the grand final.

Guess this is not happening as Liquid won against cloud9. Kinda unexpected especially after Cloud9 was running hot since the group stage but this is going to be interesting grandfinal though

Well, Liquid are going to the Pro League S16 grand final. Nice to see NA in the big stage again. I can see them giving G2/Vitality a run for their money, especially in a Best of 5

the only good game today would be Saigon Buffalo vs Mad Lions since I think the Saigon Buffalos are good enough to get a win against Mad Lions if they get a solid draft.

Vita - G2, this one smells like it's gonna go to the distance, so
I'm also going for the over 2.5 since it already happened in their last meeting.

on a different note, looks like it's going to be a boring Day 3 in Worlds 2022 Play-ins, matches will be very one-sided
I agree most of the odds are so one-sided as we're heading into the last two days of the group stage and for me the only good game today would be Saigon Buffalo vs Mad Lions since I think the Saigon Buffalos are good enough to get a win against Mad Lions if they get a solid draft.

So, the semifinals are set C9 vs Liquid and G2 vs Vitality. Which teams do you think will come out at the top?

Should be Cloud9 if nothing goes wrong against Liquid. I mean they seems to be running hot in this tournament though so far. G2 has been doing fairly well against Navi but it was pretty close and Vitality hasnt lose a single game yet though so it will be tough against them. I'd go for both Vitality and Cloud9 on the semifinals though then take it from there on the final game
I think it's going to be Cloud9 - G2 in the grand final. Vitality are a one man army, if G2 can keep Zywoo in check then it's game over unless Spinx pops off and helps zywoo cos the other three (dupreeh, magisk and apex) are useless lol  Cloud9 should beat Liquid tbh

Cloud9 are also highly rated odds when they could lose, I think at the very least it could go into 3 maps vs Liquid who having been doing great recently.   Yea I dont quite get why C9 can lose straight 2 maps to Liquid and yet its 2.5x for Liquid to win vs them.      Also  G2 match could or should go into 3 maps but I dont see that option listed just yet

I will not count out the effort of Team Liquid. There are times in this tournament that they are against a stronger team and expected to lose, but they end up winning it. I will not be too surprised if they pull out an upset against a stronger team, C9.

I do not know where to bet on G2 vs Vitality match, money line wise. I think I will skip this one. Will just go on +1.5 handicap on Vitality. They are on a roll right now and I doubt they will lose 2 maps in a row.

What an interesting result we had at the end of the G2 - Natus Vincere matchup.

I don't underestimate G2 of course by saying this. They have improved their performance quite much after HooXi and jks started to adapt to the team. But they were still one step behind their opponent actually on paper. However they still managed to eliminate Natus Vincere by 2-1. I was also expecting a win for Natus Vincere on Mirage. But m0NESY played incredibly well by 28 kills and being the top fragger of the match. There was a duel between him and s1mple. He managed to be victorious in this rivalry. Natus Vincere were really bad on CT side even though this was a CT-sided map. G2 deserved this win for sure.

Now G2 - Vitality is like an early final in this tournament. The odds given to this matchup:

G2 seem quite the favourite interestingly. I think bookmakers are underestimating Vitality very much. Therefore I might take advantage of this 2.17 odd for Vitality to try my luck with them.
Interesting there. Bookies must have based their odds solely on the HLTV ranking where G2 is at #6 and Vitally at #10. And with the recently won over Navi #1, they must have thought that G2 is much stronger than Vitality. A handicapped bet on Vitality seems good to me. Might hold back to see how map 1 goes. How G2 and Vitality form is since they just play yesterday before making any of my bets.

Tonight is going to be fun with G2 meet Navi, Vitality meets Outsiders.

We have the first matchup of the semi finals between Cloud9 and Liquid.

Today Vitality played against Outsiders first and got a reassuring 2-0 win just as most people expected. The map scores wasn't too comfortable like 16-13 and 19-17 maybe but Vitality still didn't make any mistake there. Their recent form is still amazing and they have started waiting for their opponent in the semi finals.

NaVi beat G2 on Dust2 by 16-13. Now G2 need only one more round to answer NaVi in the same way as they are 15-9 ahead now. The decider is Mirage and the stats for these teams on this map is like this:

It feels like NaVi can win this series by their big experience on this map. FaZe shocked us but I don't expect the same from NaVi.

Their experience did not help that much against a rampaging m0NESY. G2 eliminated Navi from the tournament and thus moving forward on the semis against Vitality tomorrow.

That will be an exciting match up.

So, the semifinals are set C9 vs Liquid and G2 vs Vitality. Which teams do you think will come out at the top?

up next, a banger 🔥🔥 G2 - Navi, i think i'm gonna go with navi -2.5 rounds handicap. Slighly better odds than moneyline, we'll see how it goes

Meanwhile Im taking a different approach. Taking G2 to win and its looking bad right now as Navi has won 1 map. Well its currently 2-0 on the 2nd map for G2 though so small chances that they might make it through the 2nd map then somehow win the 3rd map  Roll Eyes Atleast that is what I hope so. This was taken pre match though

two big games today:  Fnatic - Evil Geniuses. I'm surprised Fnatic remain as the favorites in this match (ml @1.7), they'll play without Hylissang today so that could be a bit of a handicap, but i guess people simply don't trust NA teams. DRX - RNG, 1.4 odds for the MSI champions and LPL Spring champions sounds like free money to me
EG looked so terrible yesterday as the game was very one-sided and Fnatic did great on their first two games. DRX winning against RNG was a bit surprising even though RNG had the better individual players but unfortunately, DRX had the much better draft.
expected from Evil Geniuses. But RNG was awful, Gala picking nilah for the first time this season and in such a crucial game was mind blowing

Hopefully they can bounce back today, won't be an easy game against MAD Lions, but i reckon RNG learned their lesson and they'll stick to their usual drafts

anyhow, i'm watching ESL Pro league right now, hell of a fight between Vitality and Outsiders

but at the end, it was just another day at the office for Zywoo & co

up next, a banger 🔥🔥 G2 - Navi, i think i'm gonna go with navi -2.5 rounds handicap. Slighly better odds than moneyline, we'll see how it goes
