So any thoughts on the first 4 playoff round of 16?
I also like those four teams to advance, but i'm more confident on Faze and BetBoom. The odds on G2 and VP are too low, it's too risky when these two recently lost to weaker teams.

So in the end it was Betboom that ended up not making it to the next round. I thought it would be easy 4/4 obviously favourites would win but yeah Betboom literally sucker punch me lol. Im probably gonna do another parlay for the next 4 games trying to hit another 4/4. G2, VP, Team Liquid and probably Faze Clan again. Navi seems promising though but I got burned on the last one for not sticking with Faze Clan so I'll probably gonna stick with them on the next game

Hey folks, how are you? Not that much action this time for Dota 2. But I have seen this thread[1] on reddit of Dota 2 about the come back of TNC Dota 2 and I just want to know what do you think about it? is this for real? Will Kuku and the old TNC members will be taken back by the TNC organization or they'll start with a new roster? If I'll be the one to answer and do changes on it, I'd hire kuku not as a player but as the coach of the team. He seems to be an effective coach and he'd share his experience to the players and I'd add some new young bloods on it probably the younger ones who's a carry and mid lane as they're more aggressive and fearless. The replies on that thread are actually fun to read.

For those people who do know TNC or simply on SEA then for sure they are really that eager or wanting to see for this team to come back and i have seen that announcement on have already the roster but it seems
those covered or shadows look familiar and pretty sure that there are really some of those former members that would really be joining up on the team on which i could say that this is really that looks interesting.
They would be keeping on making up those kind of switching up for testing out for the team to have that more capability on lasting up more or longer on those tourneys or majors or whatsoever.
When it comes to support then TNC does have that kind of high impression but of course lets see if their new roster would really be able to build up that hype of their comeback.
I don't even think that silhouette has something to do with their actual roster. It's just like a display and there's no relation to the actual players that they're about to hire/rehire. What I like on this team is that they're eager to get achievements rather than switching rosters from time to time if they're unsuccessful. They're hiring coaches that are better to help them than of players to replace one another. Because compared to BLR, they're going to break momentums and we've seen that switching players everytime they fail to achieve success to a tournament, it's not going to work at all. I am not expecting a lot anymore with this team because like many have expected when Abed goes back to the SEA with BLR, instead of successes, they've got a lot of failures even til' now with that visa issue to PGL.

Got some updates about the current tournament which is the EPL Season 18. Mouz is doing good not until they beg off to continue on this tournament because of the conflict of schedule for another tournament which is the PGL Wallachia Season 1.
They're so lucky to participate in that tournament after Tundra failed to secure their visa, and OG declined the invite due to them having other plans.
That's true, there is another team that can't secure VISA for this tournament and that's Blacklist International.

In conclusion, they will be out of this tournament and Azure Ray is going to secure and replace the slot that's for them. What lucky teams indeed.

Therefore, Mouz and Azure Ray are already an official part of this tournament. Too bad that Blacklist can't participate on this one because AFAIK, this is going to be their biggest tournament participation.

Blacklist International couldn't secure visas for PGL DOTA 2 Wallachia Season #1, despite multiple extended deadlines.

With no other SEA teams holding visas to attend the tournament, Azure Ray has stepped in as Blacklist’s replacement, fully prepared to join the event.

I'm not sure about the updated Vitality logo, and yeah it used to be white and yellow. Maybe they just wanted to update their logo including their merchandise, some teams do it almost every year.

Obviously, the latter has a better prize pool than of the former and that's why they have to adjust. And this tournament is about to happen in 3 days time.

With whopping $1M in prize pool, this is a tier 1 tournament and will be participated by regional best teams that have qualified for it. The best teams are here, Falcons, Team Spirit, GG, Team Liquid, XG and many more. 16 teams to be exact.

This season of ESL Pro League had more upsets than expected like Navi losing to Complexity, then some of the good teams (Heroic, FURIA, and ENCE) failing to qualify. Still, the playoff situation is looking spicy, specifically for the side of Faze/Monte, the winner faces Navi and Vitality.  Tongue

So any thoughts on the first 4 playoff round of 16?

Im probably gonna stick with G2, VP, BetBoom and Faze Clan though but yeah I personally think it could go both ways on G2 vs BIG. This game has the potential to go either way. The only thing that I could be sure off is probably Faze Clan -1.5

Anyway wahts the story with Vitality logo though, I could have sworn that their logo wasnt 'golden' before? Am I day dreaming or something

The Group B matches have also finished in the ESL Pro League. The qualifiers are Vitality, TheMongolz, BetBoom and G2.

Vitality were no surprise as they were one of the strongest teams there. G2 made me surprised by barely making it. I mean they had to play last chance after being beaten by TheMongolz and M80.  Sad  I hope to see G2 getting more competitive in later stages.

TheMongolz were really surprising to me. I didn't know about them much and found out they ranked up from 50th to 16th in less than a year. Impressive! They look really consistent and I wonder what they can do more later.
I also didn't see that upset coming from the Mongolz, and they're probably lucky to face a shaky side of G2 at the time. They'll face the winner of the GamerLegion/Virtus.Pro series in the playoffs, both teams aren't doing great, but it won't be easy to defeat any of these two.

Another organization on SEA huh, not that really excites me and on top of that, why would they ever want to re-sign their old members when they can get better players.
I am just speculating if they're going to re-sign their old members but most likely that they won't. It's best to have a revamp of their roster instead of welcoming their old line up because it seems that most of the older players don't really have that angst anymore. The young talents have a better future but with the help of the veterans to play as a coach or analyst will do the thing for them. With Riyadh masters and other majors having bigger prize pools now probably have attracted the management to be back at it again. I am amazed on the comments on the sub-reddit thread because it's true that they've been on their momentum until the pandemic came.

Anyway I kinda want new organization on MENA though, the region is newer compared to other packed region and obviously Falcons wont be competing on any qualifiers from that region because they will be directly invited so that leave alot of opportunity for other team to grab the qualifiers

On top of that, there isnt any rules that stated TNC wont be able to compete in MENA. All they got to do is relocate their base onto MENA region then they are set
IMHO, Leviatan, the South American team with kpii and the team where Taiga was a former support should move to MENA. However, the team management is from there. But who knows if there are other organizations that are willing to go and start with their dota 2 team or some old organizations that has been out lately and will come back and start with the MENA region. As for TNC, I don't think that they'll relocate to MENA because the cost of operating a team there is much costlier than operating in their motherland which is the Philippines.

I agree that there are still many more tough opponents even if Astralis beat FaZe. I like especially MOUZ and NaVi among them. There is no s1mple for NaVi now but it isn't a big problem. The chemistry among the players is really strong.

MOUZ aren't very good in Majors but in LAN tournaments they are incredible.  Smiley
True, even without s1mple their players previously showed they could step up after winning the major.

Mouz is one of the few consistent teams that can always have a deep run in most tournaments, but they must avoid Faze in the early rounds of the playoffs since they're like their kryptonite.

Astralis have guaranteed playing in the quarter finals after beating 3DMAX by 2-0. This 3DMAX team also did a good job so far. However most probably FaZe will beat Virtus.pro first and then 3DMAX had better be ready for their fate.  Smiley  After that we would have another Astralis - FaZe series in the quarter finals.
That depends on how they're placed in the playoffs because based on the previous season of EPL, these teams who qualified in the same group could be placed on the other side of the bracket so they might get eliminated before meeting each other again.

Astralis showed some improvements, and before this, they brought in some good results from IEM Chengdu making it in the semis and only got eliminated because of Faze Clan. I doubt they can win it all here in the ESL Pro League, the other groups still have some of the greatest teams like Vitality, Navi, and Mouz.

SAW aren't a team that we can't beat normally. I still remember the way we completely destroyed FaZe in the last Major. Now we are playing like we lost our way. I hope we can make it to IEM Cologne in some way. There is a huge prize pool of 1 million dollars.

By the way Astralis started to look like a much better team. device's return and the increase in team chemistry made a positive impact it looks like. They are playing big for the ESL Pro League championship which can take them to IEM Cologne.
Some teams are just that volatile, and Faze probably broke them after that loss since they're one map win away from qualifying.

Nah if there is any team that would stand a chance to win against Falcons then that team would be Tundra though. They won once and I was expecting them to win another one against Falcons.
I thought it'd be BetBoom because of their flawless playoff run from the upper bracket, but Team Falcons only got better as they advanced from one series to another.

I thought that they'd be finished by Team Liquid on the lower bracket but it's a reverse power coming from the former Team Liquid who likes to be in the lower bracket and kicks every team that are in the lower bracket.

Nah if there is any team that would stand a chance to win against Falcons then that team would be Tundra though. They won once and I was expecting them to win another one against Falcons. It gets really boring for the pro scene whenever a team really dominate the tournament. XG won the previous tournament against Falcons before this but Im really waiting for the day that a team would knock Falcons out of a tournament
That's true, last time it was Gaimin Gladiators that have been winning these tournaments but it was good that last tournament it was XG that won against them so that's fine. IMHO, it's a seasonal thing when a team dominates the entire year, last year for GG and this time might be for Team Falcons but I see the possible problem here. Most of the teams are going to focus studying their strategies and how they place wards, response into clash and do ganks. With that, when the grander events like Riyadh masters and TI, they are going to fall short. Look at Team Spirit, they're not as good as they are every TI and riyadh masters, they're always falling shortly in tier 1 tournaments or the majors that we're having but, they're taking seriously the bigger tournaments.

match that they've got was seem to be easy for them. It takes experience from them and malrine has already got a few major tournaments that helped him to grow in a short period of time. Ammar the F has also trashtalked pure to go home. Whilst for malrine, he keeps on chatting '))' for every game which is like a smiley whenever he's getting some easy lane and kills. Well, this is bringing hate to them but they're just having fun and it's just an in game trashtalk but in real life, they're all friends that are probably don't like each other anymore when one of their opponents are going to be serious and puts it into their hearts.

Im totally fine with trashtalk though and I really want to watch them bump up the trashtalk to another level lol. Its not enough, lets bump it up and gets everyone mad at the same time lol
Hahaha, not going to that point that I want some street trash talks come in. But these guys are all civil and all of the captions and chats are all for the memes. It's actually fun and adds drama to it, I'm waiting for Ceb to cook both of them but it's not yet the time for that, maybe on the next tournaments.

Congratulations to Team Falcons for winning the ESL One Birmingham. I was even skeptic on them that they're going to win this.

I guess that I am wrong on my assumption that the Team Falcons are the ones that will be triumphant on this ESL.

We'll have to see if they can get the job done because despite the favored odds it still feels like a toss-up. If they lose against Faze in the lower final, they still have one more chance in the last chance group.

We lost against FaZe... But the thing that wounded me the most was our losing against SAW in the 6th-7th place decider match. 2-0 and with really bad map results.  Sad

Even though I like G2.IG and BetBoom tomorrow to advance, i'll probably switch with the overs.

Gotcha, thats what I thought as well. Both teams from both games are equal though so good chances on pulling over maps actually

I might take a single bet later on for Tundra to win, I personally think they are capable of winning though especially after they won against Falcons. There isnt that many team that could actually handle how Falcons play even Team Liquid was reversed sweep by Falcons yesterday after winning the 1st map
