let's hope Fnatic are a bit rusty after a one-month break

They played the first map strong and watching them playing like that made me go for O2.5 maps as Liquid at Vertigo is not very easy to handle and with the gap and performance of Fnatic I thought they will definitely lose out the second map. Well they lost the second map but the main catch is that they lost the first map as well after leading it at one point.  Cheesy Cheesy

The One Esports Singapore Major is about to come. But there were a lot of substitutes for some teams because some of their players got tested positive for covid-19. They're at least 5 players got tested positive and won't be able to attend but were replaced.

yooo, this is key info! 👍 i was ready to start throwing mbtc to teams i didn't know were going to have stand-ins. Kinda sucks that mind_control won't be part of Nigma. And Navi will miss two players, devastating blow.
2 more days!

Any bets on ESL Pro League matches later?
for now only one ticket

odds went down a bit overnight, it was around 1.61, now sitting at 1.56 without boost...let's hope Fnatic are a bit rusty after a one-month break

later today, Astralis - EG...hard to know how this one's gonna go, astralis have been underpeforming lately, and EG have a new guy in the roster, oBo, who is pretty good, but this is gonna be EG first game after Ethan left 🤔 i'm seriously considering -1.5 handicap Astralis at 1.92 odds

Any bets on ESL Pro League matches later?

Right now VP is playing against Endpoint, should be a clear win for VP. At this moment it stands 6:1 for VP on the first map in the BO3 match. And this map was picked by Endpoint! Cheesy
Only names from Endpoint I can remember are robiin and CRUC1AL, rest ist unknown for me but I think that is due to my inactivity?

The games this afternoon should be more interesting, if someone bets on it i would like to know why and who you bet for.
Currently I try to watch again more games from different teams to be able to make my own picture.

My pick for today's league games are HLE -1.5 and Nongshim to beat KT. Fredit Brion might get one map if they get a good draft but I think Hanwha will get it done within two maps as they're looking much cleaner and throughout their five series wins this second half of the season they've only dropped one map.
I had HLE -1.5 and then I decided on more safe HLE to win, in the other game you mentioned I have KT to take at least one map so 2:1 for Brion sounds good Smiley Given my luck with eSports lately something will go wrong for sure.

Yeah, I have heard of that news and I think that this means that the roster is going to be shaken a little because they are going with a stand in but I think that they can easily re-synergize their skills as a team and I hope that this won't affect the odds for that team a little but if it ever did so then so be it, I like a little uncertainty.

absolute stomp from EDG
I think they locked top 2, but i'm not sure what happens if RNG loses next weekend and EDG wins, i suppose EDG jump to 1st place in the standings? or maybe they'll take H2H into account which favors RNG in case of a tie in first place
Indeed it's pretty much locked in for both of them, I doubt RNG would lose on their last series since LGD isn't that good and EDG should beat Rare Atom. If both of them manages to end up with the same record then it comes down to the map/game difference if it's still tie then the next would be head to head record.

Lol 🤣🤣.

Like I said, they brought upon themselves and even they do advance to next stage , I don't think they would advance that much further with that kind of play. Remember group C was the easiest of them all and Navi in this kind of situation tells us all that how bad they are right now at CS.

Damn didn't see this coming. Navi fans will be so much furious but well Navi brought this upon themselves. They weren't able to play good CS when things mattered.
from Navi twitter acc https://twitter.com/natusvincere/status/1374705436373491714

lmao 😂😂🤣🤣🤣😭🤣

anyhow, i don't see any value in these games except maybe for Total Maps...MIBR takes D2, C9 takes Overpass, and then inferno or vertigo as the decider? worth a fiver

Moving on, i'll be going with EDG @1.58 vs WE <...>

BLG really tried to draft like they're RNG and they got punished so hard for it, Suning looked clean with only Sofm dying throughout the series.

Moving on, i'll be going with EDG @1.58 vs WE whoever wins here is one step closer in getting the top seed since they're the only two  that are tied at 11-3. My reasoning on taking EDG here is that they're much stable compared to WE who dropped maps against easier teams and EDG's only bad loss is against IG.

And some cs picks for later, I got Gambit @1.39 and [email protected] not too confident on the handicaps since both of them always drop a map.

I actually had a bet on over 2.5 maps for Furia game and then they manage to loose 2:0.

After the first map, that game was all screaming going over 2.5 maps but Furia did a flop show in 2nd. Cloud9 barely gave them any breath in the 2nd map. That was really horrible play from Furia. The worst I have ever seen from Furia.

btw, some ppl are saying Furia wanted to throw the match so that Navi's chances of qualifying to playoffs would get even smaller. Gambit and Furia qualified to the next round, so it's all about the 3rd place. Should all the top teams win tomorrow, standings will remain the same as the table below:

Yeah that could be one possibility given how Navi could be a threat for others in next stage as compared to Cloud9. Damn didn't see this coming. Navi fans will be so much furious but well Navi brought this upon themselves. They weren't able to play good CS when things mattered.

Yesterday I thought Furia will win for sure against Cloud 9 but it was all a flop show. Cloud 9 totally got them in both maps. They barely gave Furia any moment to find some quick rounds and get a momentum going. That loss has now left them 3 points behind from Gambit who are leading the table.
that game was such a hilarious shitshow 😭 although, that one dude from MIBR who tried to knife s1mple takes the prize for dumbest play of the week lol now that was funny af

That is the beauty of most Esports tournament, you will never know until the last match who is going to win so you are glued to your seat to witness everything that is going to happen that will eventually lead final results. Also, Cloud 9 is a stronger team and more experienced than Furia when it comes to tournaments and the tactics so there really is a chance that they are going to do a comeback.

I am totally out of CS betting at the moment, results are beyond crazy don't know how you guys manage to hit anything. I actually had a bet on over 2.5 maps for Furia game and then they manage to loose 2:0. Same goes for LoL, only DOTA still viable for my bets and now there is no big DOTA tournaments. Also national break in football so this will be a tough week for me, thankfully there is a nice tennis tournament taking place in Miami.

Fallen fell from grace, he lives on as a mercenary for Liquid where he might yet shine but to me his greatest use now would be as a force multiplier as a veteran especially I'd like to see him cement a teams chances in a major but we have no major quite sad.  Back in the day he was a triple threat; major awp player, IGL and just unifier of force in the team.   They were great for sure, long time ago.
This mibr is Brazilian again, alot of talent in this region so even this now as a 'B' team is enough to trouble anyone at all.

Okay, really a shame to see more and more pros from the old days saying goodbye.
Especially with the players who have accompanied you in the youth at 1.6.
But unfortunately it's normal that at some point you are simply replaced by the new generations.  Cheesy

Good thing there's LPL during this time, I got BLG +1.5 @1.88 vs Suning. With the last playoff spot still up for grabs between BLG and LNG, I think BLG could at least take a map from Suning, even though most of Suning's series mostly ends up going under(13/14) this one might go the distance now that there's less pressure for them to win as they already secured their spot in the playoffs.

I'm still at a loss for words on that Furia loss and a bit surprised that Navi is likely to get eliminated if a three way tiebreaker happens.

On Group A its BIG that failed to make it then on Group B there's Vitality now Navi's next. lol

Amazing game in Mibr vs Navi right now, I recommend that one because its a real OT split between them and navi should win but cant quite do it.   s1mple clutching vs multiple enemies with just an awp as he often does.
I put this down as a 2 map series for a bet because the odds favour it as 3 maps when in normal times Navi should be bulldozing most teams including this one.   Its a credit to mibr I guess they are clinging on, point is normally it wouldn't be enough.   Navi just took first map which was mibr pick and dust2 second which again should be with Navi being far more capable individually and on this map thats enough.   Close always but no cigar

But what has become of the old legendary MIBR? Are there now several such successful Brazilian teams?

I haven't followed esports in csgo for a long time and I was just really surprised about the betting odds of NaVi vs MIBR.
When I looked at the lineup of the teams then I knew why, with NaVi of course for me still known names.
But what has become of the old legendary MIBR? Are there now several such successful Brazilian teams?

Might get more active here again, but I still miss the good old CSGOLOUNGE times! Cheesy
