Meanwhile, Quinn is making fun of the NA region. The next time he talks he might include the SEA as well. Cheesy
He's right about NA, it's just dead at all, and don't have that much competition there. But talking about SEA? I don't think that he'll talk shit with that region. He knows how this region is one of the hardest, to be honest. But it's just that there are still fewer teams that are becoming better in this region. And we've got some roster changes with the Nigma Galaxy. All of the roster has been kicked except Kuroky who still remains with the team.

Well, he's one of the team co-founders but I guess that the other co-founders don't want to stay anymore with the team if there's not that much growth at all. Too many good players and young out there that can still be developed but it should be kuroky that must be out of the roster and remain as either a coach or analyst. That's how he can thrive on this esports but he has to accept that his prime days were long gone now and he needs to give way to better young talents on this one bringing the banner of the team. There were also a lot of pro players that have done this and accepted that they're no longer in their prime just like the boys from OG and Alliance and other teams as well.

They won't forever shine and that's the reason of why they are still in the pro scene but not as part of the roster but as part of the back end of the teams that are willing to coach their new young breeds.

I also think Kuroky should just coach or maybe manage the team. I guess he owns the team already. And if he owns it then maybe he can focus on expanding it like what Team Secret is doing, it has a team from a wide number of e-sport teams, from League of Legends and PUBG to mobile games like Wildrift.

And speaking about NA. I just found out that Tundra is already relocating to the region. That organization is rich so it can acquire players from other teams. The good thing is it could dominate the region and position itself for NA's single slot.

Lost my bet on GG but my ML bet was successful making it still a profitable day. I am starting to play Mobile Legends again since I can no longer afford the longer playing time of DOTA 2. Grin
I congratulate you that in the end you turned out to be profitable. Maybe you will find time for Dota 2, because there is a lot of new things there now with a new patch, and tonight an update was released in which a lot of bugs were fixed and the game became better.

In general, it’s good that teams from the lower bracket can defeat those in the upper bracket, this adds great intrigue, unpredictability and sometimes entertainment to the games.

Thanks mate. My brother will be spending his holidays here and he plays more DOTA 2 than me even if he is also busy at school. He might try to convince me again to play with the new updates.

Generally, I am an underdog fan type so it's cool when things are shaken a bit, and then new teams and players try to topple those on top. It's just that I had a bet on GG. And it was really surprising knowing Azure was shut out in their upper bracket series and yet managed to bounce back in the finals.

All of us are just waiting for a team to beat the strong GG and they are ending the year not being champs.

Yeah but not to the extend that they beat Azure Ray 2-0 before the final then they dominate the first 2 maps but after that Azure Ray managed to sweep the rest of the maps. Thats pretty brutal and unexpected but lets be honest, probably only like a handful of people that actually believe Azure Ray will be winning the game after losing the first 2 maps. Its just insane.

I watched the the first 3 maps then thought that GG will win on the 4th map and I had things to do so I didnt watch the rest of the game then when I get back and check liquipedia, I was very surprised to see that Azure Ray's player list pop up as the winner
Yeah, they've won first against Azure on the semi finals at the top bracket which made Azure Ray grinded through the lower bracket against Team Liquid. But Azure Ray did the impossible for taking those leads that they've got each game, well, everything did happened smoothly and that's so satisfying to see. Well take note that I am not a hater of GG, I just want to see some new teams emerge.

I think Azure will become even stronger, next year I hope to see their confrontation against TS.
They will, there's now a bigger expectation on them since they've became champions on this recent ESL One.

The fact that he is a professional is obvious to us without a doubt. His team will continue to win and the defeat did not affect this in any way, while we see that in the end there is a team that disbanded its roster, unable to withstand the defeat in the tournament.
Yes, they'll just come back stronger next year as that concludes their run for this year and it was an amazing year for them. It's truly part of the history and will make the most of these memories in the future but their run doesn't end there so we'll be expecting them to have some come back and revenge.

Do we actually now anything about the new format we will have in 2024 now that DPC is gone ? Because I'm really curious to see how much will valve get involved into this new format or they will even be involved at all... .

They made the new EPT system so this is probably the new DPC. I think they stated in their previous statement before disbanding the DPC system that they want organizers to be more active in the next season so I think for now ESL is probably the only active organizers so we will be using EPT points for this season but there is a possibility that the other organizers could be making things like this as well

So instead of just TI as the final tournament for the season, we might be having multiple grand tournament at the end of the season depending on how many active organizers that is willing to sponsor

Also quite the rumors today as some players suggest that GG might disband after such a glorious year but personally , I think they will keep this formula for 2024 as well.  Grin

I remembered another funny episode. Before the start of the grand final, in an interview dyrachyo suggested that his team would defeat Azure Ray with a score of 3:0. After which he fell face down into the dirt. He paid for disrespect for the opponent, because if a team reached the grand final, then they need to be respected and not allow themselves to make self-confident statements about them.
He has found what he's looking for and that's well done for the Azure Ray. All of us are just waiting for a team to beat the strong GG and they are ending the year not being champs. No doubt that they're still one of the best teams in the world but they just fell with Azure Ray who have came back from the pit that they've been shovelled.

After the tournament, he called fools on Twitter those who write about him what I wrote above. It was as if he was “asked” to create excitement before the match and make it even more interesting for everyone to watch the grand final. I very much doubt this.
He's flamed? I didn't know about this but typically if that's a real thing, players like him are also losing their patience and composure. When they can't take it anymore, it's just best to show sponsormanship and I think going with his teammates Quinn. Many of his videos shows that he's a toxic pub gamer but if it's about professional games, he's just too professional for it.

What a turn of events. DOTA 2's ESL Kuala Lumpur had the same scenario with Mobile Legends' M5 World Championships and they're also on the same dates. The champions got zeroed in the upper bracket finals but then won the lower bracket finals and went on to win the tournament. The only difference is the ML world champions were able to seal the last and final map after 2 successive comebacks from their opponents, something GG failed to do.

Lost my bet on GG but my ML bet was successful making it still a profitable day. I am starting to play Mobile Legends again since I can no longer afford the longer playing time of DOTA 2. Grin

No doubt that Drachyo is good at farming but he's easily flamed during all of the 3 remaining games. Especially on the last game with that faceless void, there are a lot of errors he made and I won't even blame him for that. Look at the heroes of Azure Ray, all of them seem to be a counter to his hero. I think they're out drafted and the brilliant picks and strategy of Azure Ray really did well on this.

At least this time, we get to see a team that's able to beat GG and it's not just some wins but it's a reverse sweep. I can't imagine while watching it when GG was able on 2-0 against AR in the grand finals and in just a few snaps, it's 2-2. Well, great team plays done and momentum has been seen for the team of AR. Right picks also did well for them. Some few misplays and they're able to take that opportunity.

I also like the item choices of Centaur Warrunner on the last map but I'm not so sure if that's effective with Naga siren with the Eternal Shroud. I just don't see the essence of it but maybe the magic resistance did help since the heroes of GG were mostly magic damage and they have bare physical damage so it's a plus I guess.

Right hero, right itemization, outdrafting the enemy and taking advantage of slip moments. We've got another champion and how long have been seeing GG dominated this year and how long it has been since we see a chinese team that champed?
Leading on maps 2-0 and losing 2-3 in the end, I didn’t expect this. Something broke the GG on the 3rd map and they could not rise after that. They probably thought that the grand final was in their pocket, while Azure Ray gathered all the strength in themselves to show everything they were capable of.

Yes, Shiva on Centaur actually worked very well. This item has Veil of Discord which deals 15% more magic damage to all heroes hit by the wave.
I am not also expecting that because GG was too good when they've won the first 2 maps. But then, Azure Ray managed to come back and give them a reverse card that shall sweep them with the entire series. Those three remaining games have been a lot of chance for the GG but they just can't beat Azure Ray easily.

Those item choices were actually good and did helped them a lot. And that's why they deserve to be the champ for this ESL.

Before the start of the tournament I laughed that  Azure Ray could win the tournament and not be disqualified, and that’s what happened. Even N0tail said that the new patch played an incredible role in the success of Azure Ray.
Well, the change in the roster actually helped. Wherever is XinQ is going, it seems that the team is getting some buff. There's no doubt that most of us became impressed with how they've ended up the series because they were just so freaking good.

Dyracho is showing the same kind of chokeness. He is good on farming but very weak on team fights these days compared last year when they are dominant team on majors tournaments.

Vitality really a step in front of everyone in CS go scene lately right ? I mean Faze had an amazing year and won a couple of trophies but I kinda feel their era is behind them and from here now I really don't see them making a lot of finals in 2024. They also need to chance Ropz form lurker back to fragger because he is a head shot machine and I don't know if he wants to be a lurker lately but it really doesn't suit his play style.

Now back to Vitality who could have played 8 consecutive maps today against Faze and most likely would have dropped maxim 1  Grin and that says a lot about how good they are right now.

There are still lots of haters of Azure Ray even with their win, but that reverse sweep is something really remarkable against a behemoth that seemed untouchable at the early stages of the tournament. Quinn must be awfully pissed with the win being snatched from him again.

Dyracho is showing the same kind of chokeness. He is good on farming but very weak on team fights these days compared last year when they are dominant team on majors tournaments. Yatoro probably gave him an inferior complex for beating him badly multiple times while they are still the favorite.

I didn’t watch the game but I knew AR members are the previous LGD players which is really capable on this kind of upset matches especially against GG that has a problem on closing a tournament in success.

They kind of got cocky on game 3, that's for sure. Diving in deep, not gauging the enemy's team fight strengths, and taking extended fights while AR is trying to just mind their own business and disengage when they know they can't really gain anything. Underlord and Gyro at top took too long to destroy the first tower and do some rotations elsewhere. FV managed to catch up on farm because Storm was able to keep GG busy. It's just an overall failure to meet the timings + taking in fights that aren't beneficial which lead to that game 3 loss. GG lost composure from there and Dyrachyo failed to carry the game.

Anyone watched GG vs Azure Ray grand finals in ESL Kuala Lumpur? I really enjoyed watching XinQ stomp on most of GG's rotation and team fights, and boy he's really a gifted Rubick player. He wasted lots of rotations and bought lots of time for his team to soak up the farm while the rest of GG go around the map and try to get a kill. I was hoping for Dyrachyo to get something while team fights are happening, but on the last 3 games he's just taking up space and remained to be unimpactful up until the end of the series.

Are we not getting tired to see GG in all the finals from this year ?
I'm tired but they're just simply strong and consistent.

While there's a message from Insania to Bulba about having Saberlight on their team, a drafter/coach that don't have a good use of their talents.

That's savage for Insania to say that in front of the crowd in Malaysia. I don't know if that's for real or they're actual friends in real life.

Ah no no , they always roast each other because they are friends in real life so nothing to be worry about  Grin Grin Grin they troll each other anytime they have the chance to do it even if they are not on the same team.

SaberLight so far is proving to be a very fair addition for Liquid in this tournament and I'm smelling a revenge spot for Liquid in the grand finals against GG ...or they will lose the 4th consecutive finals against them but I do hope Liquid will have a revenge story here.
That would be awful if they would really be able to get that 4th loss on grand finals against GG. Somewhat i do agree with those words that its a little bit boring that GG do really dominate out with those majors but with that recent TI they cant be able to get at least a win on TS which does indicate that TS would be always superior. As for Saberlight in addition to liquid then lets see
if he would really be that effective, sometimes i dont really like this guy talks or approach.  Cheesy

Let's see if they'll be able to beat Azure Ray by tomorrow. They are the final last hope to beat GG but both teams have the chance to beat them though.
