I'm so happy when I see GG losing games in Dota2 because personally I got tired of watching them winning last year and there are so many other skilled players and great teams who deserve a chance to win trophies as well.

Lately , it seems China region is back being the strongest region in Dota 2 and with teams like Azure Ray , Xtreme Gaming , G2.IG , LGD , I think it certain to say that TI 2024 will have a one of those teams as a winner.
China is going through a crisis in terms of getting new talented Dota2 players. The Hype for Dota2 is sort of dead in China as more players are moving into mobile-based games and others. It is much much needed that Chinese teams do well in Majors so that it creates interest again back home. That being said, its way too soon to judge. It's just that people playing in different servers have different understandings of the meta and might match up differently when all grouped. Most of the other region pros kind of intermingle by travelling around the world and experiencing it. China however is a bit different in that regard.  We will only get a better understanding as the event goes into later stages. EU has been dominating for a while but Chinese teams do get close to winning. Let's see how the tournament progresses. I still think its gonna be Gamin Gladiators winning it at the end of it all.

It's like that finally a team has beaten them. We're not happy because we want to them to lose, we're happy because that it seems balance whenever some teams have beaten them. One more day remaining for the games in the group stages tomorrow and we're done and gonna move on to the play offs. As of this time, there were already two times that are surely not going to move on there but still have their last games tomorrow. That's both of these teams on the group A;
  • Aurora
  • Virtus.Pro

And this means that teams on the group A aside from the two are already secured for the playoffs.

While on the group B, the two seemingly about to get eliminated teams are;
  • nouns
  • OG

Although there's a potential to get into four tie but I don't think that it will be.

Eternal Fire had a not bad performance in the IEM tournament. We can clearly see that the team still has some shortcomings. These tournaments are there to gain more experience and see the mistakes.Overall, I have to say that the team has moved up in tier and is not playing as bad as before. I think maj3r has a big share in this. The team sometimes gets demoralized quickly when they give a round and they need to deal with that. This is a game and we can say that it is a game that has the potential to take every round.Even if you are Eco, you can take the round with a good tactic, so they should not be demoralized at all.

As a matter of facts, Team Spirit has been dominating like the last 3-4 tournaments so GG hasnt been winning that much. Also aside from that GG is still on top of group A so generally speaking they still stand a good chance to win this tournament though so if you hate to see them winning then I guess you will really hate how this BetBoom Dacha tournament turns out if they make it to top 2  Tongue

Its still too early to conclude this, literally Betboom Dacha is the 1st top tier tournament this year

These damn bo2 group stage is totally killing me, I keep losing on this because I got some of those teams to win which ended up with a draw. Totally love the group stage to end as soon as possible so we can progress to the playoff stage indeed. If only they bring back bo3 group stage, it would be much more entertaining though
It has been a bit unpredictable but in any case, best is to watch the draft and bet on a good team with a good draft. Not foolproof but works okay. These group stages are unpredictable as all teams are fairly balanced with a few players having the factor that can push it over the edge for a win. Drafts are playing a key role in here to get an additional advantage. Like yesterday and day before playing against the Falcons. Teams are heavily banning ATF's hero pool, completely leaving him to play some other hero from the offline role, that he isn't comfortable with. Worked really well for team Liquid as they managed to 2-0 Falcons while yesterday, Falcons managed to 2-0 a team that was in red hot form in Gamin Gladiators, which wasn't predicted by most.

I've been following the IEM Katowice, Vitality with the sudden early exit, and Team Spirit looks unbeatable with donk.  Wink

Eternal Fire is always off to a solid start, and even though they lost against Faze, they did great taking advantage of the mistakes of Faze because they had no business winning that second map.

On the Navi series, the map pool heavily favors the side of Navi when Anubis is Navi's third-best map. At least they kept it competitive when those two series could've been a 2-0 win for their opponent.

FaZe continued with the same lineup for a long while and managed to stay in high places in the standings meanwhile. Twistzz is the only player who has been replaced recently as far as I can see. But they are still doing just fine after adding frozen to the team.  Smiley  It looks like FaZe don't need a big renovation like NaVi did in the past.

When it comes to NaVi I see s1mple being benched. Do you know what the reason is for his decision? They still look decent even without him after transferring w0nderful from Sprout to fill s1mple's space. I can't say they have the youngest lineup maybe but the experience level looks really solid.  Smiley

Anyone following IEM Katowice 2024 recently? I haven't been able to keep up with it regularly unluckily. I have been supporting Eternal Fire due to its representing my country in this huge tournament.

This is the reason why I don't like to bet on BO2. I like watching them and gauging how these teams currently perform, and then draw some analyses afterwards should they pass the initial rounds and be grouped in the group stage. The first two days of Dota tournaments I purposely avoid and pick up the pace once the group stages begin.
It's one of the mistakes to get into bo2 series'. They're not really good times to bet because you'll never know if these teams will test some line ups and new heroes that they're going to use. Speaking on bo2 game, there's an issue that after GG and Team Liquid's game, the organizers want them to shake hands as sportmanship on the first day of the group stages. I haven't see the video since I am mostly watching in game but then, all the 4 players of Team Liquid shook GGs hand after they lose. There's one player that declined to shake and that's 33, the last one that they have to shake and he's on the last side of the table.

Quinn defended him on his tweets because that's how someone's going to feel just after losing. The emotion was high on that game and he understood that with these bo2 series', it's not the typical approach that they're going to have just after the game. It should just be like walking away whether they win or lose but as compliance to the staff and organizers on the field, they've directed GG to go to Team Liquid's side and wanted to shake hands with them.

However as far as I can see we are already out in the group stage.  Sad  But we are really unlucky to have a matchup against FaZe and right after that against NaVi in lower semi-finals. The thing I have noticed is that we are dropping from the game very easily on last maps of the series we play. We should work on keeping our concentration level high throughout a series.

These are tough opponents for us of course but we actually have a really solid lineup. We have a potential to be more successful than this.  Smiley

It seems Team Spirit is just way better than any team currently around. I guess they are going to win this tournament again most likely.
BOL on the Team Spirit bet. I was close to taking them, but I had to switch my bet to Gaimin Gladiators since I can't count out BetBoom, knowing they're very familiar with Team Spirit.

Totally love the group stage to end as soon as possible so we can progress to the playoff stage indeed.
Same, and it's why i've been shifting my focus to other tournaments (IEM Katowice and LoL) for now.  Grin

The most anticipated game of Dota 2 will begin in about 3 hours from now and we have : Spirit vs Xtreme Gaming.

Now , personally , I can't wait to see the clash of titans between Yatoro and Ame.

Im going to bet on them tomorrow to win against BB though

I will install Dota 2 just to watch this game from their hub as I want to have a POV from Yatoro and Ame to see their farming patters when they play against each other. I also think 1-1 will be the score or we might have a big surprise and see Xtreme taking this 2-0 Grin Grin

Team Spirit makes a new record with 21 victories in a row and a streak of 31 undefeated in matchups. Meanwhile, Gamin Gladiators are also looking unstoppable with their wins over Team Liquid and Aurora in round robin group stage at BetBoom Dacha tournament.

Due to Valve's cancellation of the DPC, I seemed to have lost interest in DOTA. But today I am curious about what is happening in the DOTA 2 scene. So I'm surprised that aside from ESL, there seem to be more organizers stepping up with huge prize pools. This month alone, there are three huge events in Dubai, Russia, and the DreamLeague in Europe. And all of these events have million-dollar prize pools.

Aside from Saudi Arabia which is now offering the biggest prize pool in DOTA 2, the Qatari government is also joining the scene. Qatar has partnered with ESB to stage 3 events this year alone with a potential total prize pool of $2.6 million.

Today the opening matches of IEM Katowice 2024 are starting and already in the group stage there quite a few nice matches happening. Unfortunately some matches are being played at the same time, so I won't be able to watch all the matches live today. The first match of the tournament will be Falcons vs Eternal Fire and G2 vs Heroic. As for Falcons, they are a pretty new team without much experience playing together, whereas the Turkish team have being playing together for a long time. I would probably go with Eternal Fire for the game, but since I know too little about Falcons, I will skip that match. Fo ther G2 vs Heroic match I am putting my money on G2. They are the much stronger team and should be winning easily today. The next match is probably the most one sided match of the day with FaZe playing against Rebels, there is no way FaZe is going to lose that match, but the payout is going to be very small. In the match NaVi vs Team Spirit it's going to be a really close one. Usually I would say that NaVi is the clear favourite here, but Team Spirit won a lot of their recent matches and are going to make it interesting, in the end NaVi should prevail here. With Complexity vs Apeks I am again a bit unsure which team to pick and will probably skip the game. The last game of the day will be Vitality vs ENCE, which will be won by Vitality without a problem. ZywOo is just such a monster that he is going to carry his team alone through the match.

Dota2: It's OG vs Tundra again in the ESL One playoffs and its best of 5! giving it the final vibes. Tundra are up 2 games to 1 at the moment and have whipped out meepo carry to close out the series. Meepo has become popular again and I think it is very strong even though Mageslayer has become a very important item for most cores.

I've been watching some of the ESL Birmingham qualifier matches recently and I thought it would be worth a shot to ride the wave of these two good teams (OG and Quest) with a combined 2.025 decimal odds.

The map handicaps aren't available for the MENA match, so I settled with the series winner on PSG.Quest to increase the payout of my multibet. I still don't trust Nigma Galaxy to take the upset, as they had a close series against Winter Bear, who had a stand-in.

Edit: Cashed the bet as both favorites had a clean 2-0 win.  Cheesy

Today the last two matches of the BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2024 are being played. So far in the four groups Vitality, FaZe, NaVi and Virtus.pro dominated and reached the first place respectively. Now the four group final losing teams have to play an elimination match for the 5&6 place to reach the Spring Finals directly. The losers have to go to the Spring Showdown matches first. The first match of the day will be Astralis vs BIG in a best of 3 match. Usually I am a fan of BIG and like to put some money on them, but Astralis played quite well this tournament. They actually managed to beat Vitality 2-1 in the group stage, before losing to them 2-1 in the group finals. Astralis is definitely the better team at the moment and should have no problem winning against BIG today. The second match of the day is going to be G2 vs Team Liquid which should be won by G2 without a problem. Even though Team Liquid did quite well in the tournament and won a lot of there last several matches, they haven't faced such strong opponents as G2 has. Both G2 and Astralis should be advancing today.
