While another SEA team, Polaris had already chose not to participate in the TI qualifiers because they'll represent the country in the IESF World championships.

And on this tournament, I recognize some notable players that will play for their national team and that means that they won't participate as well on the TI qualifiers.
That's a good move for them when the chances of winning that one slot are too low, but in the IESF tournament, they have a decent chance of taking home a good amount of prize money.

After checking the schedule, only the SEA and WEU teams are affected due to their qualifiers starting on August 27 and this is the second day of the IESF tournament. The other regions are lucky that their qualifiers don't overlap with the tournament.

I just noticed that there is a team named Made in Philippines in SEA qualifiers. It is the released roster of Xerxia and reformed as Made in Philippines. I do not know this team but I think I have to support it since I am from Philippines. Cheesy

Yeah, I recognized them as well. Good luck, this is really a hard time for the SEA qualifiers.

One quick look and I noticed that the team isn't registered to Liquipedia all. Also, most of their players don't seem to be known to the majority of the Dota community so it remains to be seen whether they're someone who can go toe-to-toe against the current teams of SEA for the International.
I've known most of them since when there have been div 2 games and these names have became familiar to me. It's like they're also good players but in terms of achievement in the pro scene, it's always that their team disbands.

Still, good luck to them.

One slot and all of the SEA teams are really hard to beat each other, at least for that region only. It's like a total clash for the entire region fighting for their survival just to get that one TI slot. I think if it's two or three slots, there's a bigger chance.

Yeah it will be very hard to get qualified since they are 14 teams fighting for a single slot. But I think the battle will just be between the favorites like Execration, Bleed, Boom, SMG and maybe Blacklist.
IMO, Execration is out of the list although they've made a lot of good start for this season and they fell a few points for the securing of DPC points. But looking major after major, they're always lackluster. Bleed is good but the majority of them are always unpredictable and inconsistent.

That's also true for the other regions with only one slot for TI and it's why we're starting to see one or two teams pull out from the qualifiers.
Lucky are the ones like the South America for having two slots but they deserve it.

Two weeks remain and the action against goes back. Too many matches that we need to tune in, I am sure that there will be new favorite heroes that will be picked.
Watching a maximum of 8 series per day might be too much. I'll only watch the ones i'm betting on and then browse the replays or highlights if there's an intense series i've missed.  Cheesy
Haha, not a requirement though. I'll also watch some of the games that I'll be on and also those games that I won't bet but I am interested to see.

In the CCT Central Europe Series 7th Tournament, EF managed to defeat their opponent 2-0 in the Eternal Fire- SINNERS match. While everyone in EF performed more or less the same on the Vertigo map, we can say that the team was victorious thanks to Xantares' great performance on the Overpass map. Xantares finished the map with a 42-16 performance and a 2.06 rating. In total, Xantares reached 65 kills in 2 maps and became the man of the match. Monte will be his next opponent and we can say that he recently defeated his opponent in another tournament before.

Yesterday, there was a rumor about Topson possibly playing for Tundra because of Nine pub games where he's mostly been playing the position 4 role and it makes sense when we saw Saksa missed the last two or three tournaments.
This is a monter line-up if this true. Nine is a very success pful mid laner that dominate most of their matches. Stepping down to pos 4 will give him a better insight on how to properly support midlaner since that is his forte. Both Godson and Nine is a high level player with unorthodox game style.

If this line-up come through and they sync properly. I think they might have a chance to properly defend their title because we all knew how bad Tundra now without Saksa missing most of there matches.

Saksa is one of the anchors of Tundra, and without him, they're basically not the same team as they aren't as aggressive without the guy. Topson might be a good addition to the core lineup, although they will have to delegate the roles properly to make sure that everyone functions at their 100% capacity. They basically just lost a good support with Saksa being unable to play, and with skiter possibly being the 4 support (not confirmed yet) to give way to Topson taking the mid role and Nine transferring to a carry position.

I doubt it will be hard for them to figure things out, although it should still be a shaky lineup on their first few games for sure.

I do not know if Topson's playstyle will jive well with Tundra's playstyle. I know Tundra is inclined to play the animal hero's and sometimes they are playing slow, boring but strategic game. While Topson plays really aggressive to the point that he often overextends himself. But it would be really fun to see Topson play again in TI if he and Tundra will be able to sync their playstyle. We all know that talent will not be an issue here because between those players, there are tons of talent. The only issue I really see is the playstyle.

I don't think that Noone's move to SMG will be successful but since it is for this qualifier, good luck.
I agree this might not end well because of the possible communication issue between the players.

The matchups for the TI regional qualifiers are ready to go. The bookies already have the pre-live odds and one of the interesting matchups I saw was OG vs Team Secret.  Shocked

Straight up bet on Lvl up against Nemiga. Im going to bet on Nigma to win whatever comes out as a winner from these two

Congratulations on this bet and if you ever bet for Nigma for the final qualifying match, Nigma Galaxy did won. I'll just give my thoughts about their matches.

They're struggling as usual on the first phase early of the game but I think that they're getting synchronized and keeping up with the rest. Kuro played supports that are good on this patch.

As they go in te main event, I wish them luck.

Lately, I've been trying to understand LOL better when it comes to competitive as the game itself when I play it , seems pretty easy but as soon as I watch a competitive game , everything becomes difficult if I want to bet.  Grin
I don't play the game, but in terms of betting, it's the game that gives me the most profit. I encourage you to keep following the scene because it gets easier once you notice the teams consistently pick and draft the same lineups.

Lots of team has lack of players. Does this mean that there’s a shortage for pro player?

Well actually there are a whole bunch of players that dont even make it to the division 1 DPC anymore and in contrary, there are alot of players that is suitable to join up those teams with missing players if they could make up the space for it. Most of the veterans players are not even getting any spotlight anymore then decided to move to another region to try their luck

I wonder who will be taking Old G's slot now because it seems the team is about to be abandoned after OG announced Kitrak as their position 5 support.
Ceb moved to OG and that's surely going to be abandoned while Taiga is moved and loaned going to the NA.

The Noone move by SMG was announced as well and the other notable roster change is Quest Esports taking in Tobi as their new offlaner. This decreases Quest's chances of qualifying for TI, as I think Tobi is a downgrade to Ammar but he's still good enough to fill the role.
I don't think that Noone's move to SMG will be successful but since it is for this qualifier, good luck. ATF surely is the better option for the Quest but they didn't agree to the terms, I mean ATF knows that he's the better guy and he's probably lowballed and that's why he didn't proceed with the contract that's given to them. I thought that they're going to be the darkhorse but that's it, still good luck to them.

And in the last match NaVi vs Furia, I think that NaVi is going to win. Even with FalleN playing again I don't think the Brazilians are strong enough this year.
Can't take FURIA seriously again after the recent roster change, at least not in the tier 1 scene. They only won 1 match in Cologne play-in against Grayhound, and now have been struggling in the IEM Sydney Open Qualifiers. They lose to some random mix-team in the second open qualifier and don't even make it to RO-16. This new roster won't work sadly.

KSCERATO doesn't seem to be performing that well. I used to look up to this guy due to his insane clutches and entries. Art doesn't seem to be doing well either - well basically all of them. They struggle to find some good mid round calls and their strats seem to be so simple that it's easy for randoms to break them down. I'm not counting them out, they just have to find their groove and their coordination with each other.

or probably they could just omit that last spot off as it wont really make any changes at all. Pretty sure that the qualified team from WEU wont be coming from division 2 or lower though. It just wont make any sense if it happens
It looks like they've withdrawn Old G's spot on the WEU qualifier now that the page got updated and they're removed from the list of participants.

OldG got disqualified because they are def lose against Packchump to secure spot on Div 1. It's just a shame that their spread there roster to stand-in for teams on Major Tournament while they abandoned their own tournament that is crucial for their spot for their TI qualifier tournament.

Although their spot doesn't matter anymore since Ceb and Kitrak is already playing for the original OG team on the qualifier. Quest Esports and Entity are my top 2 teams that I preferred to get the spot instead of the current OG which the current roster is just temporary.

Lots of team has lack of players. Does this mean that there’s a shortage for pro player?

I'm continuing my LoL action with a live bet on the over 4.5 @1.85 now that the LCK upper bracket match between Gen G and T1 is currently at 1-1 and they're in the drafting phase of game 3. I expect it'll go the distance after T1 stole the second map away from Gen G.

Honestly , it was in vain for OLD G to keep pumping money into the team after they failed to remain in DIV 2 where they purchased a slot from puckchamp right ? If that didn't secure them a future , it was clearly that they will head towards disband.

Should be easy for Navi in the opening round of Gamers8, that 1.4 odds looks interesting.

After G2 winning IEM Cologne last Sunday I am really hyped for the next big CSGO tournament. On Wednesday a short tournament with all the top teams is happening in Saudi Arabia. Gamers8 with a prize pool of 1m is being played with 16 teams and the grand final is already on Sunday, some decent matches are coming up. The first match will be Apeks vs GamerLegion, where I am going with GamerLegion even though they are the underdog. The team played quite well in their last tournaments even beating Heroic in Paris. Cloud9 vs fnatic should be a clear win for Cloud9, even though they lost in the last tournament 2-1 against fnatic I think that they will come back stronger this time. The match of Heroic vs Flacons is probably the most one-sided match of the day and I don't see any chance of Falcons winning this one. The team doesn't have much experience playing against the Top CSGO clans in the world and will probably get knocked out very early. Vitality vs MIBR is going to be very similar, the Brazilians have a very new team that is not so used to be playing on such high levels and don't have a chance. The match Liquid vs ENCE is going to be much closer, but with reaching 2nd in Cologne I think ENCE is taking that one home. And in the last match NaVi vs Furia, I think that NaVi is going to win. Even with FalleN playing again I don't think the Brazilians are strong enough this year.

Could be open qualifier or some sort for the rest of the WEU team that is not on the last division 2 DPC or probably they could just omit that last spot off as it wont really make any changes at all. Kinda biased bet from me to take Nigma because Nemiga is way better than them and Im not sure if Alliance will be able to win as well. I normally would bet against Alliance but their last game really impressed me
