Eternal Fire was eliminated from the PARI Dunav Party tournament with 2 consecutive losses. Our representative, who did not show much presence in both matches, has a low performance. I have no idea what happened to cause such a decline. It is not nice that they had such a bad Lan tournament performance when everything was going well until yesterday. We can say that it is an indication that something is not going well in the team. I think they need to get back on their feet and get ready for the EPL as soon as possible. They can make up for this failure with a good performance in the EPL.

After their convincing victory against ENCE last week, Vitality showed that they are still the strongest CSGO team in the world and will likely keep dominating the rest of the year. ESL Pro League Season 18 is starting next week with Group A games on Wednesday.  Vitality is directly playing again in the first round against Orks, a team that I am not really familiar with and I don't think there is any chance for Vitality to be losing the best of 3 match. The first match of the day will be Furia vs Movistar Riders, it's nice to see FalleN back in action against and I am placing my money on the Brazilians. The second match is going to be Grayhound vs GamerLegion where GamerLegion should be dominating. They played really well in the Paris Major and IEM Cologne, even beating Heroic 2-1 and should be motivated to go for that this season. The last match is probably the most interesting one with Astralis vs NiP, even with Astralis being the favourite one. During the IEM Cologne the two teams played against eachother and NiP lost 2-0, but with k0nfig the former Astralis player I wouldn't never count them out completely.

WD is that one hero pick that isn't meta but feels like a raid boss when utilized properly by the team. I've seen a few pro games wherein WD feels like someone that cannot be defeated and an overall effective core hero in midlane. There are times though that WD feels like shit - well it's most of the time - so it's really a highly situational pick.
I agree you need a good setup to make a WD core similar to how B8 last picked the hero against Nouns and I think he's in a similar position as a Rubick core that falls off later on if he doesn't snowball. Then again, he's better off as a support than a core because there are still too many good mid heroes to choose from and the only time I saw a WD core win was when Gaimin Gladiators picked it as an offlaner.

There is still no set meta in this patch so there may be more undiscovered heroes that are good in this patch.
Hopefully, it stays that way for a while because it's fun to see the teams cook up different drafts on every map.

Also Acatsuki from SA are doing a great job as well and I wouldn't be surprised to see them reaching the finals.

I also find their gameplay interesting.  I am watching their games yesterday because I have a bet on them, and they are really on point in their plays. They are fun to watch. They are now on the Upper bracket finals, just one win and they will secure a ticket to TI 2023.

SA Qualifier destroyed my bettings. I bet on known teams and none of them won against unknown teams.

The other day, I bet on Infamous and they lost to Qhali.

And yesterday, my parlay was broken by Thunder Awaken losing to Keyd stars. It was a close fight, but I hoped they would won their series.

Well, in this patch, WD is a good hero. I think we will see him more in the upcoming days. The other hero that is emerging is the Vengeful spirit. It does not have as high a win rate as WD but good in competition where teamwork and synergy are high. There is still no set meta in this patch so there may be more undiscovered heroes that are good in this patch.

I actually enjoy watching the games of TI qualifiers but I'm more surprised of how team One Move is actually playing dota right now as even if Witch Doctor has a big winning rage , only a few pro teams have managed to actually win a pro game with him. Right now they are playing against Hydra , a team who is well known in Dota 2 pro scene but One Move is playing so smooth and looks like they are going to 2-0 Hydra and send them into lower bracket chances. Grin

One Move, moves to the upper bracket semi finals and will be against Virtus Pro. I only saw that WD pick from Dendi but it has got a buff for this patch.

They've won the first match against Infinity and if they win their 2nd match, they proceeds to the semi finals upper bracket and will be up against Keyd Stars.

Thats weird and I wonder why some of the top EU organization still havent move their teams there to secure some slots instead of all competing in EU. Some of the current division 1 EU teams that didnt get top 3 would have easily made it top 2 on some other region like SA or NA though. Well some of the other regions teams are pretty good as well but WEU is packed with literally top tier teams
I guess some teams prefer to stay because there are more slots available in their region and moving to another region means they'll lose the opportunity to scrim against some of the best teams.

Fancy on betting the EEU games later today, simply took Navi to win against VP. I dont really like the current VP roster and Navi is just way better

I'm also interested in the upper bracket matches of the EEU qualifiers but I have to back VP in this series because the h2h favors them and they've consistently placed 4th in all the EEU DPC Tours this year.

The only rule I saw in their rulebook is this and I think it's good enough if it means we'll have more competitive teams in the majors and TI.

Quote
For a team to be eligible to compete in a region, 3 or more players MUST be physically located in the region in which they are competing.

EF leads 1-0 in the Eternal Fire- Monte match. EF chose the first map and won the map they chose 16-6. We can say that EF, who showed a good performance as a team, won the map comfortably. Mirage, the map chosen by Monte, is now being played. EF is not having any luck on the Mirage map. IGL majer cannot play the team when switching to T side and the team has not been able to overcome this problem for a long time. As much as CT side is good, T side is terrible and in the end EF is the one who loses the map. Currently EF is losing 14-11.

Watching the NA right now in the finals, nouns just took the first series and it's like a total massacre and one sided game against Dendi's gang, B8.

It is a best of 5 series and hopefully that they'll able to come back on the next games which is about to start within a few minutes.
B8 crumbled so hard in the next game even Dogchamp didn't lose that fast against Nouns when they fought in the upper bracket. I wasn't expecting a clean win from Nouns, but at least B8 made the third game interesting with their Chrono and Death Ward combo that almost worked.  Tongue

There isnt any restriction or rules on that but Valve should start making rules about it. For now, the community and Valve might not even notice this because B8 ended up not making it to TI but if they ended up making it then the community would start making fuss about it. Imagine if some top teams decided to move into another region just to secure the next Major slots

I am not sure if there is any restriction on that. I guess the competition in that region is easier than in the EU. It is just like EG moving to South America. But at least with EG, they dropped all their EU players and acquired SA players.

I guess there should be, as relatively stronger teams from a region they can't win will simply move HQ to another region that has an easier competition. If that happens then there'd be a lot of region hoppers, though of course, the expenses will not be pretty and I guess that's one angle that Valve is looking at. For now, they'll allow it, though you're right that once a team managed to win and go straight to TI just because of this, the community will make a huge fuss about it and you'll see a shit show in different social media channels.

Tomorrow Eternal Fire will take on Monte in the Pinnacle Cup tournament. If we look at the matches played between the 2 teams, we see that there are balanced matches. Although Eternal Fire seems more experienced in terms of roster, they struggle to reflect this in the game. I will expect Eternal Fire to defeat their opponent in the quarterfinal match. In addition to this tournament, if we look at the matches ahead of this tournament, they will fight with the 1Win team in the opening match of the Pari Dunav party tournament. I think they will focus on this match separately because I guess they are a little bit angry against the 1Win team that did not wait for the other match to end in the elimination match last time.

Anyway, Xtreme Gaming won the series and will again face Azure Ray for the Finals and a slot for TI 2023. Based on their match yesterday, it will be another full series.
This series is done and congratulations to Azure Ray, we're going to see Somnus, FY, Chalice and their gang to the International 12.  Smiley

I guess ENCE's luck stops here huh. I thought they would have gotten another 2-0 after winning the 1st map
Yeah, ENCE dominated Vitality on that 1st map I thought they had it. Can't count anymore how many 2nd places they had recently, really need to work out how to close games in grand finals Cry Congrats on the win!

No actually I didnt win that bet. It was a live bet after Team Bright won the 1st map so I thought it would be great if they can actually win the other map hence I took it. The odds was pretty high especially after they won the 1st one so I guess there is no reason not to try my luck there. I still think its pretty funny for Team Aster to lose to this team

Oh, I thought your bet was series win for Team Bright. I think it was x3 at the time, I am not so sure. It was big if you just have bet on Bright to win.

Wildcard vs B8 and Dendi has another chance to make his presence on TI and I would be happy it his team will achieve this tonight. However, Wildcard is having a blast since Taiga joined with them and they are also favorites in this series which makes the game for B8 very hard to win.

So one of the worst team in EEU region actually made it this far on the NA region huh, pretty weird that they get to compete in NA region without having a player that is actually comes from  that region

Won my bet on the Lower Bracket Finals of China Qualifiers. Xtreme Gaming was able to force a 3rd map after a quick win on the second map. Team Zero had the early lead on the 3rd map but with a few team fights that went to Xtreme's favor, Xtreme was able to catch up the lead and eventually win the series. I was not able to watch the draft, but I am not sure why they put Naga on support. I think it was a bad draft that caused the chance for Team Zero to go to the Finals and have a shot at qualifying for TI.

Anyway, Xtreme Gaming won the series and will again face Azure Ray for the Finals and a slot for TI 2023. Based on their match yesterday, it will be another full series.

Current series is Nouns vs Dogchamp and out of nowhere the courier bug is back again on a TI qualifier game...like come one Valve , fix Dota already.
I am currently watching Nouns and Dogchamp. The first map was really great to watch but I think that Dogchamp's carry needs to be better in decision making as he plays the carry of the team, not impressive TB he got there.

As much as I want to see Wildcard gaming and B8 to be playing in the finals, it's not going to happen. Later on, this match up is about to happen after Nouns and Dogchamp.

I think many wants to see Dendi's presence again in the TI as a player but it's quite hard to see based on their situation but who knows if they'll win later.

And we go head over next to the CN region and will also the last day and we shall see the TI12 qualifying team.

There are always some of these 'minor' bugs that appear out of nowhere whenever TI qualifiers is starting. I don't get why the devs don't put out a stable release a few days before the qualifiers start. I'm pretty sure they have eyes and ears to reddit and other social channels where players are voicing out their concerns on these annoying bugs that plague the game.

I'm curious as to what other bugs there may be in the coming days as the qualifiers progress..

Meanwhile, I decided to take an upset bet on this after Aster lost their 1st map. Its a silly bet but its a great odds for Team Bright

I did not think anybody would take the underdog against team Aster, but you did. Congratulations, you did well. I think most of us were expecting Aster to take the lower bracket easily, they were the heavy favorite after all. That bet was a big risk, but the reward is quite worth it. Congratulations for taking the risk and winning it.

No actually I didnt win that bet. It was a live bet after Team Bright won the 1st map so I thought it would be great if they can actually win the other map hence I took it. Yeah lol didn't expect that at all. It would be an absolute dominance if ENCE can win the whole tournament without dropping a map, though very unlikely given how Vitality is near prime too.

I guess ENCE's luck stops here huh. I thought they would have gotten another 2-0 after winning the 1st map
