I checked out Eternal Fire about what they have been doing recently. It looks like I haven't missed anything as they look the same.  Grin  There was a tournament named CCT North Europe Series. Their opponent was SAW in the semi finals. SAW have been a quite challenging team to beat for them so far considering their head-to-head history.

Eternal Fire needed to stay solid against them. But even on one of their best maps which was Anubis they lost and gave a big advantage to them. After a tough fight with 2 OTs on Inferno they won by 22-20 maybe but the loss was still inevitable for them. Actually Vertigo is a map on which Eternal Fire played the most so far maybe. But they still have serious issues there like this 16-8 defeat.

The game 1 of TS and TL confirmed that Liquid is just too strong now after they demolished Team Spirit on game 1 with same manner they defeated Talon. Team Liquid is very aggressive in both drafts and lanes. This is a difficult Team Liquid which usually just farm lanes and just casually get a rotation.

Zai Naga Siren to steal yatoro hero is really worth it and monster. He dominates his lane which result for the enemy carry to become gap and unable to catch up even on mid game to late game.

Team Liquid is using different strategy since they was beaten down to lower bracket.
Despite how TL was strong on the game 1, it's the opposite on what they've been through on game 2. Well, this is a total good match. A former TI champ and probably soon to be a TI champ(not unless GG takes it).

Yeah right, TL started to loose their edge on the game after repeating sa,e strategy on game 2 which is having 3 core heroes while they lose since they gave space for Yatoro to farm hard while all their 3 core heroes is no match against Yatoro on face to face battle because of chrono.

Same happened on game 3 and 4 which Yatoro is completely free to farm items while TL carry can’t match Yatoro farming and itemization skills. miCke is no match for Yatoro in terms of carrying team. TL is string when Zai or Nisha dominates the game but completely weak if the game comes when they rely only to miCKe on late game to carry the team.

Micke is a strong carry provided he had a good start, or their supports are having a good time roaming around the map and making space for the man. Unfortunately for him, TS didn't want to give up even an inch of the map to them and it resulted to a lot of catastrophe. This is what gave TS the edge: map control. It became too scary for anyone to move around the map for a while because TL's heroes are squishy, and can easily be picked off from the map.

G2 seems to have gotten their revenge on Faze this time. G2 played a dominant game on the Inferno map and did not allow Karrigan and his team to play. We can say that the fact that there was no prominent name on the Inferno map in G2, who played a good game as a team, is an indication that the team worked well together on the map. On the Ancient map, Faze's job was not easy at all in the match where monesy and hunter got 30 kills each. While Faze has more experienced players, I can say that G2 has more talented players and stronger players when they stay one-on-one. I expected G2 to win, but I didn't expect the matches to be so far apart and with such a clear performance difference between the players.
In the ongoing NaVi-OG match, we are watching the struggle of 2 new teams. Although we can say that these teams have gone through a complete change, we can say that the players will have time to get used to each other. While B1t and s1mple will continue to play at the same level, other players who are new to the roster will need to put in a little more effort. The same goes for the OG team, of course. F1KU, who has been in the roster for a long time, and nexa, who is a bench player, do not take time to get used to, but it is difficult to say the same for other players.

Astralis had a very comfortable win against NiP. NiP transferred former Astralis player konfig after the events. But it seems that konfig didn't show much against astralis. Brollan and hampus also played poorly, failing to break the 20 man threshold, which led to a comfortable win for Astralis. The trio of BlameF, bORUP and device were the leading frag players of the team in this match.
Vitality, on the other hand, won with a very comfortable game against the young mouz roster. The contribution of other players other than Apex as frag is already visibly obvious, and since Apex is IGL, he could not be expected to contribute much frag. In Mouz, frozen trying to win the match alone was not enough for them.

I will consider my bet as loss already.  Cheesy

It’s so nice that I didn't waste my time watching the whole match and mocking on my bet for Team Liquid. I really thought that they have the momentum after their strong finsih against Talon and game 1 against Team Spirit. Micke is very passive the whole match and he is not playing as pos 1. He is always useless on all of the match while zai and nisha only carry him. This is always the pattern of Liquid during finals and they can't win any major tournament with this kind of behavior.

I knew that this will come and I didn't learned my lesson. Team Spirit is so strong now that Larl and Collaps is finally helping Yatoro get the space that he needs.

In addition, I can say that I find it surprising that the Mongolz team is pushing Heroic a lot.Heroic is really a team that is hard to stop lately and it is just strange that a team like Mongolz is pushing them.
Mongolz almost swept Heroic in the second game, but they became shaky when it got to overtime. The same happened in their lower-bracket series against GamerLegion they had a chance to close it out in round 30, but they failed and then lost four straight rounds in overtime.

Team Spirit is so good on game 2 and they are very good on securing Roshan while Team Liquid is having a hard time on vision due to techies bomb all over the map.
It also felt like a draft problem because Yatoro's Void didn't die as much in the second game and Team Spirit's Techies was a big nuisance during the team fights.

And you know what? again on game 2, he's playing with the same hero and if we're going to name zai an alias, it means consistency. Yes, he's again having those items and very consistent with his 2nd naga siren play.

Unfortunately, they did not have the same result as game 1. Yatoro refused to lose 2 consecutive games using faceless void. This time, he itemized as that even if he is countered by Naga, he is sure to win. And Team Liquid was not able to close the game in the early game. They had a few mistakes that is costly to them to go to the late game. And once the late game kicked in, it was easier team fights for team Spirit. Timber is stronger and there is already double Chrono with refresher shards. Team Liquid was still able to hold some team fights but eventually, they collapsed, and Team Spirit took the win in game 2. It is now basically reduced to a best-of-3 series between Team Liquid and Team Spirit. Hold on to your seats guy, I think we are on to a long series.

Despite how TL was strong on the game 1, it's the opposite on what they've been through on game 2. Well, this is a total good match. A former TI champ and probably soon to be a TI champ(not unless GG takes it).

Technically, both teams are TI champions. Team Liquid just have a different team composition when they won TI 7 with Matumbaman on the helm, but it is still team Liquid. Team Spirit is the more recent champ (TI10) with almost the same line up aside from Larl. These two TI champs are giving  us a good Riyadh Masters 2023 Finals.

Likely.

There are teams that are like that. Like Execration, they're able to beat GG on the Bali major IIRC but that's still too early for the group stages. There really are unorthodoxed teams that can beat the strongest ones.

Looking at the playoffs matches of Talon, it is really considered that they are exhausted. They went against Team Liquid in a 3 games series. Then they have two matches yesterday with 9 Pandas and Gaimin Gladiators. Also, taking into account how Talon plays, which is they like to play the long game, that is really exhausting to them. Going against two giant Dota teams on a consecutive day is mentally taxing.

Team Liquid become sloppy on game 2. I don’t know what happened to them and who’s calling their decision making but their buy back and roshan priority is so bad. What the heck they are doing on the last clash on roshan, They keep fighting despite they don’t have near building to TP when they buy back and they keep doing buy back 1 by 1.

They rely too much on Zai that didn’t deliver properly because he keeps engaging on clash instead focusing on enemy barracks.  The choker liquid might come again for whoever bullshit calling their move on game 2. I will consider my bet as loss already.  Cheesy

Zai actually has a good lane and play his role properly because he manage to be ahead on gold in mid game. The problem of Liquid is their cores has less gold for items since they invest too much on Naga while Void manage to get so OP can burst both Nisha and Micke.

Team Spirit is so good on game 2 and they are very good on securing Roshan while Team Liquid is having a hard time on vision due to techies bomb all over the map.

Maybe Talon's role is to just eliminate the big dogs of the lower bracket and pave the way for Liquid to win the tournament. They successfully defeated GG, the raid boss of the recent tournaments, and have been kicked easily by Liquid. Much respect to Talon still for going so far, taking home $1.5M if I'm not mistaken. That game 2 would have been different if they picked a support that is more active in lane instead of enabling and just sustaining the core. That Io pick really is weird IMO.

Do you see guys what I am seeing right now? Talon is on the lead and destroyed all of the barracks of GG (mega creeps).

9-29 in favor of Talon for the kill/death. The game hasn't ended yet but the lead is on the Talon on this game 3.

For the very first time, there's going to be an elimination for the GG and they're going to be out of the tournament if ever they will lose against Talon.

Edit: Oh, they called it GG. WP for Talon!

Talon is just the better team on that game 3. They chained their skills perfectly that even naturally elusive heroes like Storm and Morphling didn't stand a chance. Dark Seer and CW just destroyed the safelane pretty heavily, and 23 savage with Oli also decimated the top lane with their aggressive laning phase.

Even if GG is out, that's still a huge money to be had.
Well, less than a day has passed and then Talon is out and outplayed by Team Liquid. I thought that they'll even make the match so close and on how they've made their first matches when zai snatched the game with his brood.

But not a while ago, Talon looked like kids that Team Liquid has played with and proved that if Talon was the better team on their game 3 against GG.

Well, Team Liquid was the better team and proved that they've beat them outrightly. Currently the finals is on game 2, I'm just amazed on how zai plays.

The game 1 of this grand finals he played naga siren as an offlane which is unusual because it's usually a position 1 hero but then, he's quick on farming with it and able to have a lot of items less than 30 minutes.

And you know what? again on game 2, he's playing with the same hero and if we're going to name zai an alias, it means consistency. Yes, he's again having those items and very consistent with his 2nd naga siren play.

Unfortunately, they failed to counter the picks of Team Liquid. They had nothing that can deal with the bear of Lone Druid. I feel that their IO last pick should have been different. Maybe a hero that could counter the lone druid. When the IO came out, I know it is over.
Those two matches of Team Liquid and Talon looks too easy for Team Liquid. Maybe Talon was too exhausted against GG and they didn't have enough sleep.

Anyway, we're on the grand finals. Both teams have already secured millions of prize money and I am looking forward to see this tournament being owned by Team Liquid. We know that Team Spirit is also a TI champ but it's a different thing that Liquid got more fans.

Let's go Liquid!

Picking team Liquid to win it all tonight at Riyadh Master 2023.

As a solid fan of team liquid, Your pick is 100% approved to me.  Cheesy I think Team Liquid can manage to take down Team Spirit since their last fight is very close and Liquid has a chance to close the game on game 2 that time if they didn't commit error on the portal.

Stake odds for Liquid is high because I only get 1.77 odds using Megapari sportsbook. Good luck on our pick. Feels so good that someone here might share pain or happiness after this finals.

For the Fnatic vs Cloud9 match, I think 2.6 odds for Fnatic is very interesting, considering their performance in the play-in stage and Cloud9 is playing with a substitute. I know the addition of Perfecto and Electronic could add to their firepower but this will be their first map together.
Spot on with this Fnatic call. Very close match but they got it in the end. Cloud9 would have won if they had Axile. Pretty disappointed with Navi performance though, that was not a playoff worthy team.

In addition, I can say that I find it surprising that the Mongolz team is pushing Heroic a lot.Heroic is really a team that is hard to stop lately and it is just strange that a team like Mongolz is pushing them.
Yeah Mongolz is the black horse team in this tournament. They have been playing well above expectations since the play-in stage, but taking a map off of Heroic and pushing them to double OT in the second map is just another new level. I hope they can get a spot in the playoff. Well deserved. Betting for them against GamerLegion, should be an easy one.

I haven't been able to follow the recent transfers much, but teams have made some good signings, even amongst themselves. There is already the IEM Cologne tournament going on, which started yesterday. The only result that I don't see as normal amongst the matches played might be NaVi's loss to young MOUZ.Other than that, I can say that the results are not too surprising from my point of view.In addition, I can say that I find it surprising that the Mongolz team is pushing Heroic a lot.Heroic is really a team that is hard to stop lately and it is just strange that a team like Mongolz is pushing them.

Talon seems the best team in Dota 2 right now even if Spirit showed some class again but the way Talon have played against GG was simply amazing and the confidence they currently have in drafting and team fights will most likely make them defeat Liquid as well and move in grand finals to face Spirit.  Grin Game is about to begin in about 1 hour from now and Liquid still has the first chance...after that rat dota style from Zai but I doubt Talon will fall for the same mistake again. Wink

Their luck runs out right now because team Liquid just eliminated them from Riyadh Master. They will still be enjoying the 1.7 Million USD their are taking home from the tournament as they finish third. Not bad for a weeks' worth of work. Team Liquid did not underestimate Talon and went out all in. Their series was nothing like the first match they had in the upper bracket. They disseminated Talon on the second map. Talon have no answer to the bear and they were eliminated 20+ minutes into the second map.

Team Liquid now earns the right for a rematch against Team Spirit in the Finals but now, they are on a Best of 5 series. I guess they eliminated Talon as fast as they could so they can rest and prepare for a bigger fight against team Spirit. They lost yesterday so this is a revenge for them, and they are doing it on the biggest stage. They have been on the Finals stage quite a few times this year but they were not able to claim the championship as GG were always knocking them out. This time it will be a different story. Will Team Liquid finally win the Finals?

Reverse sweep is still possible since Team Spirit did the same on Liquid on the Upper Bracket finals.   I still really feel that Talon can reverse sweep this because Liquid has a high tendency of choking whenever they are new to grand finals victory.

Unfortunately, they failed to counter the picks of Team Liquid. They had nothing that can deal with the bear of Lone Druid. I feel that their IO last pick should have been different. Maybe a hero that could counter the lone druid. When the IO came out, I know it is over.

Picking team Liquid to win it all tonight at Riyadh Master 2023.
