I would prefer ETH. as some big news about it coming. ETH is a cool platform for ICO.
After all, ltc is just a simple fork of bitcoin.

Brand new to the cryptocurrency market.  Currently I hold a decent amount of LTC.  It's value has gone up nicely since I purchased it.  I've read all the predictions for LTC in 2018 and 2019.  It sounds promising as a long term hold...which is what I'm more comfortable doing...to reach $200 -$300 a coin.   I like the fact that there is a team in place trying hard to ensure it's future.  Charlie Lee may not be the most charismatic spokesman publicly but he's out there doing it which gives me confidence in his product.  Now, it's obvious that ETH is not going anywhere.  My question for the board is which outperforms the other in the next 5 years?  I tend to invest heavily in the direction that has the bigger upside.  Perhaps I should split my investing 50/50 regarding ETH and LTC?  What say the more experienced cryptocurrency gurus?

I have nothing against BTC.  I don't see it going anywhere.  It is the giant.  However, I feel the current price point is too high for my liking.

Thanks
Personally, I prefer ethereum than LTC. Both of these crypto is really good in term of investing , short term or even long term. They have different function and way on how to earn. However, ETH is much higher compare to LTC, the value is better, the transaction is really fast and it has a big opportunity to the investors and users.

Both Litecoin and Ethereum are excellent choices for anyone who wants to invest in altcoin in the long run.
I also like ethereum because it is stable and most of Ico use this network for their smart contract so tested for fast transaction, I also have many tokens in ethereum network.

I suppose that both of the cryptocurrencies are very good but I trust Ethereum much more. as for Litecoin, I have a lot of doubts that it will be a great gainer very soon. Just invest in ETH, bro.

Both coins are very well developed. Their popularity is growing every day! I invest in the following ratio: 40% Ethereum and 60% LTC.  Wink
These two coins are worthy of being in our portfolio. In what proportions - it should already be decided by everyone himself. I think that both of these projects will have success in the future, but I have great sympathy for ethereum.

Yes, I agree. While both ETH and LTC show strong promise for the future, if I'd had to choose between the two I'd also go with ETH because of its stability in price fluctuation.
In addition, ethereum is still a powerful platform, which has a large number of other projects, which adds points for ethereum. Also I think that the ETH team has better developers than LTC.

The two currencies are certainly strong
But ETH has a much more popular trading volume
It is used by all ICOs
I recommend ETH

For a long time I would have chosen the etherium, although in recent days it has shown a strange tendency. Bitcoin stabilized at the level of 7300, but etherium falls. But in a few months everything can change.

Yes, an interesting question.
Both projects have excellent prospects for growth.
I do not understand how to compare them - they have different activities.
I personally hold part of the deposit in both coins and consider them promising for growth in the next 2 years.

It is best to simply look at projects that have a future and can be interesting. Now there are a lot of such projects and it is important to choose young people who will show great growth in the near future. I like the project of the EOS and it is much more interesting than Ethereum, but we have to choose young projects with small capitalization. Most often it is very interesting to invest in ICO, if it's really a good project

Always eth. Etherium has that potentiality to compare with btc. Still no altcoin has that capability. Even though both coin have potentiality but I still believe etherium is the most profitable

I prefer ETH for longterm, because the price is stable.
proven time BTC down ETH is still able to survive.
when BTC goes up as it is today then ETH auto will increase as well.

 Ethereum is being actively refined and updated and Ethereum is the prime fuel for ICOs.
Both coins are great and still profitable. But I believe Ethereum would be more beneficial than Litecoin in the long run.

Maybe you can try to invest in the same currency in one currency, but at least in some kind of correlation, in half there for example.

I think the price for ETH will grow significantly faster.  And so it's worth investing in ETH than in LTC.

In the event that you need long haul speculation, pick Ethereum. Since ETH has a decent future in cryptographic money, and it just has the best an incentive in all alt coins. A large number of the financial specialists are purchasing the ETH, as a result of that the cost is rising bit by bit. Before long it will be like Bitcoin with the best an incentive in all Digital cash.

The perspective of the etherium in 2018 is a popular user question. Acquisition of the Crypto currency, exchange for real money and other aspects depend solely on the growth forecast. Considering the current development trend, we can distinguish the following facts:
the first start of sales of "Ether" became a record on such a market, having collected more than $ 14 million on financial investments;
for the past time the tendency of a rapid growth of the rate is tracked, which is forecasted in the future;
