I think ethereum is better than NEO, because I think the price of ethereum is more stable and I believe that one day, ethereum price will follow the bitcoin price.
Eth is my pick between the two altcoins because Eth is very useful in almost crowdfunding today and as i noticed, almost every cryptocurrency is an ERC-20 type of token. Investment wise, these two are good and sound investment though.
Prefer Neo to Ethereum because of the gas you generate for holding Neo. Easy Money I guess.
Ethereum's current dominance is due largely to it's first mover advantage and tremendous resulting network effects of that. However, they did not manage to hit that critical mass that normally makes it impossible for meaningful competition to emerge. I believe by the end of the year, we may begin to see a shift towards a more democratised market, where smart contracts are being shared relatively evenly between 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen platforms. Ethereum will remain ahead for at least the next 18 months though....
NEO will overcome etherum and more applications are expected to come in neo. neo is expected to skyrocket this march new decentralized applications are on the way same like erc20 in etherum

The ETH is of course awesome, but now I'd rather choose NEO, it's more volatile, and you can make lots of money on its pamp.
It is strange question - because it is clear which coin is more popular and valued now. I don't think that anybody here have enough knowledges to compare NEO and ETH technology.
Any investment is to gain some returns. ETH and NEO both coins are good currencies. These coins have performed pretty well since last one year.
NEO might be the strongest coin in the near future. It's new and powerful. I will admit that I explore NEO more in-depth than Ethereum. This is because so much information is widely available for Ethereum.
Ethereum would be first choice neo would be seconed if I want invest I will invest 60% ethereum and 49% neo. Because ethereum if they start to implement Casper POS then price will eventually increase. Neo based projects attracting lots of Chinese investors.

I'm not familiar in neo but neo is a good wallet but I very like eth because I'm start in altcoin eth is the first wallet I'm use but I'm not asking this because I don't like neo I'm asking this because eth is the best wallet for me.
In theory Neo can be as big as ethereum even because of the potential scalability and because of a lot of support from asian investors. But it is in theory. 
In reality right now any big Ico on neo makes big troubles for transactions inside Neo network. And also ethereum have enough projects that will help for scalability of the ethereum network like sharding/raiden/plasma/polkadot. And also a lot of support from the institutional investors for the ethereum.

David vs Goliath
Both coin are strong in their field. Ether is widely used by tons of alt coin ICO, hence the price is going up fast. But Neo will be huge in 2018, already few ICO happened in NEO block chain, and 3 of them are in top 100, proved that Neo is strong and coming up soon. I believe Neo price range will be $300 to $500 in next 6 months or so.

It is so funny to see how ETH fanboys are blinded by their love and don’t want to see obvious things.
And most of the people here talk only about money and high gains that ETH can give in their opinion. You don’t even think about TECHNOLOGY. Buterin was right about crypto community and he would be upset if he see your posts here.

ETH is a very solid project that will continue to improve and grow in the coming years, whereas Neo, the chinese ETH, still has to express its potential, even if we're starting to see the birth of a few NEP5 token and some ICO preferring NEO over ETH.
