we are at that unpredictable stage in my opinion.
right now there is a pretty good chance that another dumping wave comes from whales who have been cashing out for months and making a lot of profit by shorting ETH and in that case $40 is easily reached and even less.

but at the same time we are at that point when the owners of this centralized coin are becoming very worried about their own future and will start trying to pump it and prevent its demise. so $40 can become a very hard target.

we have to wait and see which force wins the arms race.

Most of us on the other hand, have to understand the market cycles & try to buy in the dip. Little luck is also needed.

Now the whole market is down and not only just Ethereum but every coin is down and it is good for those who are now coming they can buy a good and valuable coins and if now the price is down so it does not mean that it is forever but with time it become up and then trading will be fast.

When indeed it's true existence is certainly this will be the thing to look out for because it certainly could make the ethereum continues to plunge to the bottom. but also this news which is not necessarily true for the purpose of taking the ethereum with prices skewed from the people who panicked.

Well, this is just a FUD. However, I am not surprised that Ethereum has dropped to $40. This is likely to happen. Only when the market reaches the true bottom will a new round of bull market be opened. So, I am not afraid of the decline, what I fear is that the market is in a long-term sideway.

Are you noticing the market cap right? It was 104b$ last night and now it was 114b$ i think youre mistaken on the info you have. 40$ eth value is inpossible to experience on eth network, why? Everyone is excited to buy eth now since hardforking will happen soon and you dont want to miss any rocketship when thats happen.

I don't agree with you. Ethereum near $70 is already the lowest price. If you continue to drop Ethereum will return to $20, this is unlikely to happen. The price of Bitcoin 3000 is already very low.

If you say so, provide proofs, otherwise it is just another baseless statement with the speculative purpose of causing panic sales. But, in general, what is a thousand ethers? It is a drop in the bucket, nothing, and definitely will not affect the price.

if its true that some whales selling thousands of ethereum then i think its possible that ethereum price down to 40$ or even 30$ but it will be temporary because many investors will be buy ethereum in such low price quickly

Thousands of eth to exchange? Have you ever seen the transaction yourself? But you should know that not everyone thinks that eth downfall is a bad thing, some people think it's a blessing that makes them able to fold and get eth at a low price, I personally won't waste that opportunity.
